POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for coordination and recruitment efforts for the Job Experience Training (JET) Apprenticeship Program, and administrative duties associated to complying with the Department of Labor certification requirements. The individual in this position, working with the JET Supervisor, ensures applicants and candidates are supported throughout the completion of his/her/their apprenticeship program.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and maintain relationships with military bases, technical colleges, high schools, and other community programs to identify and attract talent.
  • Schedule and coordinate representation at career fairs, school, and military engagements.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to engage with potential candidates and build community awareness of careers in Oil and Gas.
  • Assist JET Supervisor with administrative responsibilities for candidate recordkeeping, onboarding, and transitioning apprentices throughout the program.
  • Facilitate committee meetings for the Working and Learning Scholarship fund.
  • Complete ride-a-longs and job shadows with leadership and field personnel to understand daily duties and key skills needed in successful candidates.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • 0-2 years trade experience in oil and gas operations, preferred.


Education, Training & Certifications

  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • 4-year degree or equivalent certification in Human Resources or similar program, preferred.

Electrical and Instrumentation Inspector (Contract)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Understand and adhere to company safety work policies and operating practices. Report safety incidents and near misses.
  • Startup, operate, and maintain air separation and bulk gas delivery systems, including associated tanks, purifiers, controls, and fill/offload systems. Troubleshoot shutdowns and perform corrective maintenance to allow equipment/plant restarts.
  • Coordinate scheduling of planned maintenance and perform some preventative maintenance on system components.
  • Operate units to continuously supply products at the appropriate quantities and qualities safely and economically, complying with all environmental regulations and daily customer requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that weld procedure specifications, welding plans, equipment calibration and welding materials are correct.
  • Define and develop WPSs as required for current production.
  • Maintains weld qualification records, oversee non-destructive testing, and ensure proper materials are available during tests.
  • Monitors the welding processes throughout production to make sure everything proceeds smoothly and that all welding personnel follow the expectations of applicable welding standards.
  • Inspects base and consumable materials, pre-weld cutting, joint positions, welder settings, and other critical aspects of weld setups.
  • Conducts inspections of all welds and identifies and supervises repairs.
  • Ensure that all welding work complies with your employer's safety regulations, as well as the safety regulations stipulated by local, state, and federal governments.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and ensure proper care of equipment and machinery.
  • Accurately complete required time entries applicable inspection entries on Routers, inspection reports and other documentation as required.
  • Document and report nonconforming equipment, raw material, processes, and product. Ensure proper identification and segregation of nonconforming items.
  • Ensure ongoing effectiveness of the calibration process.
  • Support other quality activities as required.


Job Requirements:

  • Must have a current AWS certification as a Certified Weld Inspector.

This contractor position will be located in New Orleans, LA with business trips to Indonesia

Manages and oversees project controls functional area for very large multidisciplinary high risk capital engineering and construction projects from FEED to operations. Responsible for project planning and scheduling, cost estimating and monitoring, progress measurement, risk management and reporting. Manages project controls personnel. Responsible for establishing operating policies to mitigate risk. Provides guidance and consultation for project managers and corporate management. Experienced with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This role will be a "hands on" position with the successful applicant undertaking the day to day cost engineering duties on the owner's team.

Essential Functions:

  • Guide and direct resolution of project difficulties and complex project control issues. Strong analytical skills required to review all project controls information and ensure accuracy as well as identify issues, concerns and potential mitigations.
  • Interact with the Project Management team and corporate management team and participate in regular project meetings. Gather information and prepare reports and presentations of information as needed on the project.
  • Identify and communicate design changes, scope changes and schedule slippages and potential impacts and participate in the identification of mitigations. Ensure trends of cost and schedule are identified, manage change management process and communicate and suggest corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with cross functional team in project setting, ensure project controls team members are interfacing with engineering, procurement, contracts and construction on concepts and relationships to the scope of work and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Oversees project baseline process for cost, schedule and progress and ensure all project systems are implemented according to process and company standards and procedures.
  • Ensure full implementation of company processes and procedures as well as industry best practices with regards to project controls on the project following the company project stage gate process.
  • Establish risk management protocol which includes identification, documentation, mitigation and tracking of potential risks on the project. In addition determine potential cost and schedule/progress impacts of potential risks as they are identified.
  • Ensure the accuracy of reported progress percentage based on the rules of credit established within the project. Develop progress measurement process for required scopes of work.
  • Establish and manage project schedule development, review and update processes and to ensure accuracy and alignment with the overall master schedule.
  • Manage and ensure all project required reporting is pared and submitted as per approved reporting schedule for the project.
  • Mentor and lead a large staff of project controls team members, ensure project is staffed appropriately, conduct regular staff performance reviews and manage any staffing issues that may arise.

Job Scope

  • Assist with project controls, planning, cost control, change management and cost estimating plans and procedures as well as provide input into other key PMT plans and procedures
  • Develop and maintain project work breakdown structure (WBS) and cost breakdown structure (CBS)
  • Manage AOP budget and annual goals, including annual and monthly budgets, to ensure proper recording and forecasting of actual costs, commitments, accruals, trends, forecasting, and contingency draw down
  • Coordinate cost estimates for new scopes of work and other changes working with other PMT members to build supporting documentation
  • Provide accurate weekly and monthly reporting in a timely manner
  • Prepare cost and schedule reviews and participate in Senior Leadership Reviews
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to potential impacts to scope, cost, and schedule
  • Coordinate integrated asset short, medium, and long-term schedules, track progress, facilitate operating rhythms and review sessions.
  • Establish schedule compliance metrics.

Job Requirements:

  • 10 years of project experience in the project controls discipline preferably with an O&G operator
  • Strong knowledge and experience in planning, cost engineering and controls with heavy budgeting, cost forecasting, change management, cost estimating, and scheduling experience
  • Proficient using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects), Primavera planning software, and other specialized cost software packages and prior experience in SAP
  • Major Project Planning and offshore operation experience preferred
  • Ability to build relationships quickly in multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural, and multi-company environments
