Job Summary:

Petroplan is actively recruiting for an Environmental Specialist to work for an industry leading, international company with interests in the energy sector. We are looking for a driven individual to join a high performing and growing team, where the ability to work both independently and as part of a team is crucial.

This position will play a key role in the company's environmental permitting and compliance across multiple business units, while driving multiple green initiatives throughout these assets.

The work schedule for this position is flexible/hybrid. Prospective candidates must be located in the Northeast US as occasional travel to sites will be required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supporting Operations staff in management of compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Provide Permitting support for company assets and overseeing consultants providing support for permits.
• Oversee development, implementation, and coordination of updates of regulatory required plans.
• Support with regulatory inspections related to applicable permits at facilities across the Northeast.
• Prepare, review and file appropriate compliance reports with applicable State and Federal agencies on schedule.
• Identify, solve, and document compliance issues that may arise in compliance area.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support compliance testing requirements.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree is required in Engineering, Environmental Science, or other similar STEM discipline.
• 3 years of experience in industrial environmental compliance.
• General knowledge of industry permitting, compliance and regulations.
