The Laboratory Technician is responsible for finished product quality control and specification compliance testing by: managing and communicating test data, verifying test equipment, executing various proficiency sample testing programs, and conducting routine laboratory tasks.
Core Responsibilities
* Monitor and record product quality to ensure refinery processes are compliant with standards and specifications. This includes collection and analysis of unit samples. Conduct routine product quality control and product or specification compliance testing to assist in making qualitative or quantitative analyses.
o Compile and interpret results of tests and analyses, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of testing and results.
o Enter and maintain lab results in proper databases and written records.
* Responsible for maintaining quality standards within the Laboratory and observing and troubleshooting equipment and operating problems.
* Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Collaborate with and support the Lab Team
o Communicate information relative to refinery products and events.
o Compile and interpret results of tests and analyses.
* Responsible for following all safety policies and guidelines as established. Maintain a clean and safe work environment including active participation in monthly Safety Meetings.
* Respond to ad hoc requests and participate in ad hoc projects as required.

Experience
* Must successfully complete a pre-award test of basic math and chemistry required
* Prior laboratory experience
* Directly related experience in petroleum laboratory.
* Proficient in MS Office Applications
* Experience in SAP or other business enterprise software
* Basic mechanical ability and understanding of operational principles of assigned area's testing instruments.
* Familiarity with laboratory methods and equipment for running tests.

Working Conditions
* The position may require working 12 hour shifts, with both days and nights, as well as weekend/stat holidays based on shift schedule

Initial schedule will be M-F 8 hours per day, 40 hrs per week for the first 2 months. Schedule will shift in April to 12 hour days, 7 days a week, one week on, one week off.

Mechanical Facility Specialist - Construction

This position will provide direct supervision to all contractor personnel working on facility construction in the Dunn Center, ND area. The work includes supervisory responsibilities involving construction and maintenance activities, and will be supporting the ND Bakken Asset Team in supervising the construction, installation, and commissioning of the well site production facilities.   • Sets clear HES&S performance expectations with all contractors working on MOC facilities. Ensure all MOC HES&S policies and procedures are understood and maintained within construction activities.
  • Enforces all MOC safety and administrative policies, procedures, and contract agreements.
  • Fulfill all HES&S incident and near miss reporting obligations in a timely, accurate manner to provide adequate activity information to each department.
  • Assist Marathon Construction Supervisor/Superintendent in planning and scheduling of all new construction and maintenance activities.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The source of data includes but is not limited to leases, contracts, division orders, title opinions, curative and other such related documents.

ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE AND ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Analyzing and validating ownership, conveyance documents, property and production information related to our core business processes. This includes review of all leases and related contracts captured in Quorum Land System and how to obtain and apply that information.
  • Perform revision and maintenance of all division order information in SAP/PRA which includes understanding and manipulating unit tracts, bearer groups, and all other related system required data in SAP/PRA.
  • Contributing to the revision and maintenance of all Joint Interest Billing information, including the understanding and managing of carried interests.
  • Support and collaboration with our Finance colleagues by making ownership information available to allow for accurate and timely processing of production volumes, production revenue, and joint interest billing.
  • Analyzing various legal descriptions related to spacing and unit map information and apply that information to our core business processes.
  • Responding to phone calls, emails and correspondence from mineral owners and working interest partners regarding title issues, inquiries and account questions.
  • Clearly and effectively communicate with both internal and external business partners as well as property owners to obtain needed information and/or documents or to convey information.
  • Adhere to internal document management process to ensure correspondence, instruments, records, and all other data are filed, imaged and indexed appropriately for retrieval and analysis.

  • Candidate should have extensive experience with instrumentation and controls in process industry, especially design, installation and calibration of pressure sensing, fire and gas, level sensing and valve actuation.
  • Candidate must be able to read, review, redline and create P&IDs, loop diagrams, datasheets, cause and effect drawings, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Candidate must have ladder logic and functional block programming experience.
  • Experience in Management of Change ‚£éprinciples and processes to successfully deliver improvements and modifications
  • Experience in root cause failure assessments for instrumentation equipment

Sr. Drilling & Completions, Data Analyst (Wellview)

  • Administer and owner of Wellview daily reporting system for D&C
  • Proficient in Wellview
  • Monitor daily data and cost
  • Responsible for D&C data quality in WV
  • Perform data queries and pull data for analysis
  • Assist Engineers on data collection and consistency
  • Maintain End Of Well close out for WV
  • Managing and validating data for D&C ops and also pulling data as needed or requested from different databases
  • Prepare D&C reports- weekly / quarterly
  • Assist in preparing AFE packages, procedures, and supporting documents
  • Familiar with drilling and completions operations
  • Proficient in Excel with a strong understand of all Microsoft programs

Additional Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in a hands-on data analytics role including data modeling, data integration, data ingestion, data transformation, data mining, and data warehousing
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and data warehouse concepts
  • Experience with database design, performance tuning, and scalability
  • Experience and knowledge with cloud native data warehouses such as the following programs/languages:
    • Spotfire (required)
    • SQL (required)
    • PI (required)
    • Procount (required)
    • Enersight (preferred)
    • Python (preferred)
    • Snowflake (required)
    • SCADA (preferred)
    • Familiarity and experience with self-service BI and analytics tools (e.g. Spotfire, Tableau, Alteryx)

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to collaborate across teams
- Knowledge of Oil and Gas Industry data

Contract Geologist

Petroplan is actively recruiting for a Contract Geologist to work on behalf of a reputable and growing oil & gas company within their Dallas offices in Texas. The geologist role will be dedicated to project generation of additional potential in idle wellbores within company assets, while providing wider support to the subsurface team.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Expertise in cased-hole log analysis including RST's
  • Reservoir property distribution uncertainty analysis including OOIP calculations
  • Experience interpreting logs and generating perforation recommendations
    • Proven success in bringing on incremental production preferred
  • Ability to incorporate seismic data into geological interpretation
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and map complex geologic structures
  • Ability to incorporate nearby well production performance into geologic interpretation
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team
  • Strong organization, presentation, and communication skills
  • Flexible and willing to work at a fast pace
  • Experienced in using Petra, Petrel and Microsoft Office products
  • 15 years' relevant experience, ideally working on assets with in onshore USA
  • Masters degree in Geology


Position Responsibilities

  • Build field level structure, gross and net isopach maps with limited well data on potential additional zone targets.
  • Interpret older vintage open hole and modern cased-hole logs to identify and quantify incremental potential
  • Build probabilistic oil in place calculation for different drainage radii to assist reservoir engineers in project economics
