Our client is seeking a Full-Time Senior Data Scientist to support US based LNG export facility and service the global demand for North American natural gas. This Arlington-based position will support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies.

Positioned within Arlington, VA, the role carries the ensuing responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Engineer resolutions to business quandaries via the data science lifecycle.
  • Shape and perpetuate data analytics solutions and machine learning algorithms.
  • Employ predictive modeling and classification methodologies to heighten LNG production efficiency and mitigate perils related to safety and downtimes.
  • Excavate and dissect data from data lakes or data warehouses to propel optimization.
  • Fathom pivotal decision junctures, offering stakeholders alternative avenues to surmount business conundrums.
  • Furnish data engineers with ETL requisites, streamlining the curation of files for data analytics.
  • Chronicle data science algorithms to ensure manageability.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership in refining the data science lifecycle, enriching the technology stack and architectural landscape.
  • Blueprint data architecture to accommodate forthcoming platform expansion, encompassing data warehousing, machine learning, streaming analytics, and data visualization.
  • Aid in trials, governance, data integrity, training, and documentation initiatives.

Job Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of pragmatic experience in data science and data analytics.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in cloud-based data analytics solutions, inclusive of the management, cultivation, and sustenance of machine learning solutions.
  • Fundamental mastery of data manipulation languages such as SQL, Python, or Scala.
  • Adeptness in crafting data science resolutions via cloud data services.
  • Profound presentation finesse to aptly convey analytical outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communicative skills, paired with astute critical discernment and scrupulous attention to detail.
  • A robust work ethic, coupled with the ability to prudently prioritize, meet deadlines, adapt to evolving priorities and business requisites, and flourish in a fast-paced milieu.
  • Exemplary attention to detail, expediently encapsulating and prioritizing information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Azure infrastructure, particularly Azure Data Lake and Azure Data Factory.
  • Prior experience harnessing Databricks for machine learning algorithm development.
  • Adeptness in coding languages, predominantly Python, R, and SQL.
  • Proficiency in utilizing DevOps.
  • Experience in dealing with streaming datasets and IoT.
