Our client is in search of a Senior Production Engineer with expertise in Liquefaction to join our Integrated Production Excellence team, located in Arlington, VA. In this position, you will play a crucial role in optimizing the Availability and Performance of the LNG Liquefaction Trains at the Calcasieu Pass (CP) Facility, while also contributing to the broader CP Facility Production System Optimization efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Define daily production targets for CP Facility LNG Trains, establish operational limits, and collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to develop daily Production Plans.
* Develop and maintain real-time online surveillance and monitoring models to enhance the Availability and Performance of CP Facility LNG Liquefaction Trains.
* Conduct analyses to identify deviations from Live Operating Envelope Limits and prescribe necessary actions to ensure safe and efficient LNG production.
* Identify short-term, medium-term, and long-term initiatives for improving Availability and Reliability by leveraging real-time system data and physics-based or data-driven models.
* Identify potential Production risks that could impact Availability and Reliability and create mitigation strategies.
* Contribute to weekly and monthly Production reviews, taking necessary actions to enhance the performance of CP Facility LNG Trains.
* Recognize and manage production loss events in CP Facility LNG Trains by collaborating with relevant stakeholders, including Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations.
* Lead or participate in Engineering Investigation Requests (EIRs) and Management of Change (MoC) processes to enhance CP Facility LNG Trains' performance.
* Lead or participate in Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) for production losses in CP Facility LNG Trains when required.
* Gather essential performance assumptions for LNG Trains and provide timely input to the Forecast and Annual Delivery Plan process.
* Support the Long-Term Service Agreement (LTSA) process, offering necessary input and analysis as needed.
* Contribute to the development of Integrated Production Excellence standards and procedures.
* Document Lessons Learned from CP Facility and provide input to other Venture Global LNG projects/sites as necessary.
Qualifications:
* Hold a Bachelor's degree in Process/Chemical Engineering.
* Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Production Engineer, demonstrating a track record of improving production performance.
* Prior experience in the Oil and Gas industry is essential, with a strong preference for LNG experience. However, experience in petrochemicals, NGL, cryogenic natural gas processing, or other hydrocarbon processing may also be considered.
