Wisconsin-based solar developer is looking to add a full-time Director of Project Execution to their Solar Construction Team. Projects are commercial scale and located throughough Wisonsin, Minnesota, Illinois, California and Arizona. The Director of Project Execution will lead and supervise the department responsible for solar project execution, including all engineering, construction, and project management team members. This role is responsible for developing the essential structure of the project execution team, continually assessing its efficiency and effectiveness over time, and implementing changes to ensure projects continue to be completed with quality and safety excellence as the company continues to grow.
Essential Job Functions

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the project execution department, directly managing engineering, project management, construction management, commissioning, and administration professionals.
• Stay abreast of project management and coordination activities within the department, including project procurement and permitting activities, to ensure projects move through the pre-construction, construction, and commissioning processes efficiently and significant delays are avoided.
• Oversee company compliance for all projects, ensuring local and federal licensure and construction requirements are met.
• Support project development initiatives. Provide timely feedback on project designs and proposals and participate in customer presentations, feasibility studies and site visits as requested.
• Develop and maintain operational policies and procedures for the department.
• Drive sustainable growth of the project execution department.
• Review budgets and operational finances; minimize losses.
• Promote a team of safety aware and responsibility.
• Coach, Mentor and train staff
• Maintain proper staffing within project execution.

Education and Professional Requirements

• BS in Construction Management, Engineering or Business Management
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• 5-10 years of experience in the construction industry
• Exceptional track record of leadership
• Superior project management skills
• Ability to effectively communicate
• Proficient in MS Office suite and project management software
• Detailed understanding of project finance, estimating, bidding, subcontractors and project profitability
• Outstanding public speaking and interpersonal skills
• Aptitude in problem-solving and decision-making
• Strong understanding of project analytics and performance metrics
• NABCEP certified (preferred)
