  • Passionate dedication to maintaining safe operations enforcing strict conformance with all government regulations, and applicable company procedures and policies
  • Excellent knowledge in international standards, petroleum/ petrochemical plant materials and equipment
  • Experience in Refinery Maintenance and Turnaround
  • Strong decision making abilities under pressure and innovative to generate new ideas
  • Strong problem solving skills;

B. Purpose
Maintenance Excellence Engineer serves as the appointed personnel by the Reliability Section Manager in delivering Maintenance Execution Process Standardization, Best Practice Implementation, Quality, and Efficiency Improvement Strategies of Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Site.


C. Responsibility
Reports to the Reliability Manager.

  1. Develop and implement performance tools in delivering sustainable and efficient Maintenance Execution Process.
  2. Development and standardization of Refinery, Petrochemical, and Oil Movements Maintenance Work Processes.
  3. Support in driving Maintenance Organization's accountability via best practice KPI's establishment and monitoring.
  4. Establish end-to-end Maintenance Execution process improvements.
  5. Drive continuous improvement in Work Management performance of the Division via direct support to Assets and Executive.
  6. Support the section, design, implementation, and results evaluation of a Maintenance Competency Program, to include competency gap analysis and creating employee development plans to close the gaps.
  7. Assist with resolution of findings from audits.
  8. Development and optimization of corporate processes and standards including governing policies and drives continuous improvement of the process of delivering the preventive maintenance work
  9. Vendor contracting strategies.
  10. Support Maintenance Division to develop important plan for Maintenance; increment of efficiency and maintenance process.
  11. Support Maintenance Division to ensure QA/QC for maintenance activities.
  12. Other reasonable responsibilities assigned by the Reliability Section Manager


Key Competences Required:
1. Mastery of Shell Perform Maintenance Execution Asset Management System
2. Maintenance and Turnaround Planning, Scheduling, and Cost Engineering Mastery.

D. Accountability, Duty

Satisfy all commands & instructions from Reliability Manager, Maintenance Division Manager, Refinery General Manager (GMR), as well as from the Management Board
