Gas Power U.S. Government Contract Manager

Job Responsibilities:

  • Advise on requirements for grants, cooperative agreements and other contracts with US Government agencies
  • Review and draft responses to grant and cooperative agreement applications in connection with commercial and engineering teams, and advise on contracts and subawards in connection with grants and cooperative agreements
  • Work with Sr. Government Counsel to ensure compliance with contractual obligations under Gas Power contracts with US Government
  • Research Pubklaw bi-weekly for updates on US Government Executive Orders, regulations, and administrative rulings
  • Manage requests in connection with public filings and from leadership requests concerning government contracting
  • Help develop and maintain database of information on Gas Power state, local and federal contract, grants and cooperatives, including coordinating with Sales, Operations and Finance on status of contracts with state, federal and local government
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable Executive Orders impacting Gas Power operations
  • Assist in training on contracting with Governments

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree from accredited college or university
  • Sufficient experience, knowledge and skills on FAR, DFAR and DEAR; Executive Orders, new Regulations and negotiating and revising contract terms and conditions
  • 5 years of experience working on US Government grants, cooperative agreements and contracts
  • Strong experience working with contract terms and conditions, risk mitigation and the ability to draft contract provisions
  • Extensive experience drafting grant and cooperative applications
  • Experience negotiating contract, subcontract terms and conditions
