Compensation and Benefits Specialist

Key Result Areas:

  • Responsible for generating all Compensation and Benefits reports for the HR department and Department Managers. These reports include, but are not limited to: Sick Leave, Vacation Reports, Allowance Reports, Monthly Business Reports (MBR), Demographic Reports, Overtime Reports, Long Service Reports, Quarterly Management Reports and Corporate Governance Reports.
  • Responsible for the data entry of timely and accurate Compensation and Benefits data in Oracle and various HR systems. Ensure all elements comply with company policy.
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the Organisational Structure and Position Hierarchy in the HR system.
  • Prepare new recruitment Compensation benchmarks (both Employees and Day Rate Contractors) in line with market data and the Company strategy.
  • Prepare End of Service Benefit calculations and statements. Coordinate with Finance and other concerned departments. Ensure final settlement payments are made to employee after recovery of outstanding loans and required exit formalities. Transfer payments to the banks in the case of Salary Transfer Letters. Coordinate with Finance and the HR Executive Assistant to ensure a seamless process in line with company policy.
  • Assist with the processing of the monthly payroll for both Staff employees and Contractors accurately and in line with company policies and procedures, including loading of reimbursements and deductions to employee salaries. As well as generate payroll reports.


Job Related Competencies

  • 5 years of HR or Compensation and Benefits experience.
  • Working experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, preferably Oracle.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; including Expert knowledge and understanding of MS Excel. Must demonstrate the ability to manipulate spreadsheets with complex data and generate reports from advanced MS Excel functions including complex formulas, pivot tables, vlookup and hlookup.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Numerical and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and high accuracy.
  • Positive and enthusiastic team player who is results driven.
  • Ability to multitask and balance priorities and multiple tasks.
  • Safeguard and protect the confidentiality of sensitive HR data at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • To translate management directives into company policy and procedures.
  • Consistently interpret, advise and guide management and staff on the application of these policies and procedures.
  • Provide compensation & benefits information to management by participating in surveys and analysis of salary and benefits data, locally, regionally and globally.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Human Resources, Economics, Business Administration or Equivalent.
  • 10 years of experience in HR administration specializing in Compensation and the development of company policies and procedures.

Senior Engineer Tanks - Refinery - Middle East

We're currently working with a client in the Middle East that has a Multi-billion-dollar Refinery Upgrade, and they're currently looking for a Senior Engineer to provide engineering support to the Testing & Inspection of tankages in the Refinery Tank farm.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering support to the Testing & Inspection of tankages in the Refinery.
  • Assign work to Engineers/Designers and field supervisors within the area of responsibility and monitor work.
  • Ensure projects are completed within time and within budget.
  • Provide approved engineering drawing to carry out essential repairs.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • In Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience and Engineering Design and at least 5 years of experience in Petroleum Storage and transfer facilities in the Oil Refining, Oil & Gas production or petrochemical industries.
  • A thorough knowledge of American and British Design codes and standards covering equipment and installation.

Petroplan are currently assisting a highly accredited Engineering and Consulting firm on a number of requirements.

We are seeking a Procurement/Contracts Coordinator to join the office in Abu Dhabi.

Candidates must: -

B.S. or equivalent degree from an accredited university with minimum twenty years relevant experience including ten (10) years of outstanding Procurement and Contracts experience.

Proposed person must have been in consultant's organization for at least five (5) years in similar position.

Specific experience in Middle East for renowned clients will be essential.

Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Experience in executing similar industrial project is a must.
