Our client is a rapidly expanding, independent natural gas producer in Dallas who is looking to expand their Executive team by bringing on an experienced CFO.

Chief Financial Officer Job Description:

  • This individual is responsible for various duties, such as: managing the overall Accounting and Finance functions of the organization, playing a crucial role in new areas for the organization to invest in, and overseeing all budgeting and planning responsibilities.
  • Will be the point of contact within various departments, including: Accounting, Corporate Finance, FP&A, Financial Reporting and Treasury.
  • Responsible for heavy cost control, as well as asset analysis for gas focused plays.

Chief Financial Officer Job Requirements:

  • Must have no less than 8 years' of experience with previous public accounting experience a must have.
  • Must have a Bachelors' Degree in either Accounting, Finance or Economics, with a graduate degree strongly preferred.
  • CPA or CFA Certification is a preference.

Reservoir Engineer - Modelling

Petroplan is currently recruiting for a Reservoir Engineer for an exciting and unique oil and gas company with a very interesting asset portfolio.

This role would suit an individual with a strong technical background and wealth of modeling experience, ideally with exposure to working for an independent company focusing on conventional reservoirs.

Responsibilities:

- Work with other teams to advise on drilling programs, optimize static models and support field development plan/reservoir management
- Build and run simulations for priority reservoirs within company assets
- Technical Authority for Eclipse and Petrel software
- Training and mentoring of local and junior staff

Requirements/Experience:

- Minimum of 3-5 years' Reservoir Engineering experience
- Wealth of experience setting up/running dynamic simulations
- Advanced software user including recent Eclipse and Petrel experience
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or similar. Master's degree preferred
- Conventional experience, ideally with exposure to fractured carbonate reservoirs
- Open to regular international travel

Landman

Petroplan is actively recruiting for a Landman to work for a Dallas based vibrant and growing oil & gas company.

This direct hire position is open as a result of company growth and requires an experienced land professional, ideally with exposure to a variety of onshore regions and legislations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare / negotiate oil & gas leases, JOAs and other documents related to the land department
  • Monitor lease obligations and expirations
  • Work closely with brokers in preparation of title opinions and curative matters
  • Work with other departments ensuring timely operations related to company schedules, including AFEs, proposals, elections, permits, conservation orders, and surveys
  • Review and evaluate land data for presentation to management/stakeholders
  • Maintain spreadsheets including working interests and summaries

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' land experience
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with a wide range of company departments
  • Strong computer skills
  • Bachelor's degree
