  • Flexibility to work offshore if required
  • Training on ISO 9001
  • Qualified ISO 9001 Auditor

Degree:

BEng or higher degree on Marine, Structure or Industrial Engineering

Years of experience on similar position:

  • 5-8 years of experience managing quality of large-scale projects/packages specifically to installation and commissioning
  • Technical experience in electrical and mechanical works Coating experience is a plus

Quality Specialists required for 20 month contract opportunity in France. This is for a Wind Farm project and we are looking ideally for candidates with a minimum 5-8 years of experience managing quality of large scale projects/packages specifically regarding installation and commissioning on Wind Farm projects.

Specific Positions are as follows.

Principal Specialist - Installation & Logistics Quality
Principal Specialist - Construction Site Quality
Principal Specialist - WTG
Principal Specialist - Inter Array Cable
Principal Specialist - Offshore Substation
Principal Specialist - Foundations Quality Management

All candidates need to be a Qualified ISO 9001 Auditor and hold a relevant Degree.

Positions will predominantly be based residential in France but some travel throughout Europe will be expected.

Start dates in August 2020

Offshore Wind Site Manager

Offshore Wind Site Manager

Petroplan are assisting a client in the search for an Offshore Wind Site Manager. The client is a multi-national project services company. This position will play a key role in the project on leading the construction capabilities, coordinating, managing and executing shore based support works.

Location: France

Rate: D.O.E

Duration: 2 year

Core Competencies:

  • Lead tender process and contract execution to put in place construction and port/s facilities from which to operate an appropriate construction capability to execute the infield work
  • Establish, make ready, manage and maintain the construction capability for the site, infield and offshore wind farm
  • Safely leading the team in making sure the Construction of the Wind Farm is carried out in accordance with associated policies, procedures, and industry best practice. Produce and implement Site procedures
  • Manage the construction and O&M port upgrade contract that includes, but not limited to, liaisons with local stakeholders, oversee construction progress and planning, ensure contractor performs according to project requirements, ensure principal contractor performs according to Iberdrola quality, health, safety and environmental regulations
  • French speaking *Fluent*

Port Engineer

Role: Port Engineer

Start: ASAP

End: Q1 2021

Our Client is developing the Installation & Construction (I&C) port base in Lezardrieux and is assessing several locations for permanent Operations & Maintenance (O&M) port base (St Quay portieux and St. Malo).

Client has already a CONSULTANT, which is responsible for Project Management Support for I&C Port and O&M. However, Client requires a Port Engineer to manage CONSULTANT as well as to interface with the project team and lead on other activities

The Service is to assist CLIENT on the delivery of the I&C and O&M ports

The Scope of Work shall include but not be limited to:

  • Assist CLIENT on I&C, mainly identification and analysis of alternatives, planning and delivery.
  • Lead to identify the solution for a permanent port O&M base.
  • Plan, scope, monitor and supervision of the work done by CONSULTANT,
  • Collaborate with CONSULTANT, jointly producing deliverables.
  • Work independently on own deliverables assigned by the Construction manager.
  • Report and manage the programme and budget, including initial and continuing progress. Documentation shall be in English and French language.
  • Keep local stake holder team updated on the progress of works.
  • Prepare reports to assist the Construction Manager on the decision making.
  • Ensure CLIENT interests are protected.
  • Participation in regular coordination meetings with CONSULTANT, internal and with external stakeholders as required.

Qualification and Experience

Personnel must have an engineering degree, on a discipline related to ports infrastructures (e.g. Civil Engineer).

The Engineer must have demonstrable experience in the planning, design and construction of ports infrastructure in France.

It is also required to demonstrate experience in local legislation, construction regulations, consents, stakeholders, etc., applicable to ports infrastructure and to buildings construction in port areas.

Port Engineer shall be able to communicate in French language. Therefore Advance (C1) level is the minimum requirement.
