In this role, you will take overall responsibility for the strategy and delivery of the team. You will lead and be responsible for your team's business development and candidate generation activities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage and drive success across the team whilst working their own portfolio and leading from the front. We have a very established client base within Oil and Gas which we have built up over the last 40 years. Key responsibilities in the role will be: -

Management

  • Management and growth of the Team in support of the overall business strategy, ensuring that Recruitment Consultants are properly resourced in line with client demand and that they are being lead, managed, properly assessed and developed throughout the year. This includes monitoring their performance against KPI's and other objectives.
  • Individual coaching and mentoring of Recruitment Consultants and Resourcers
  • Ensure you lead by example and hold your team accountable for placement and GP targets.
  • Ensuring quality assurance and compliance and that a systematic recruitment procedure is followed



Strategic Business Development

  • Working with the Regional Directors, Account Managers and fellow Team Managers to agree business development targets with a view to increasing the profitable client base each year
  • New business development and increasing gross profit over each financial year
  • Building strong relationships with clients, understanding their business and people strategy (and therefore their resourcing needs) and implementing strategies to meet those needs, thereby ensuring Petroplan is their recruitment partner of choice and the first point of contact when business needs arise.
  • Managing commercial negotiations with clients including agreement of commercial terms and negotiation of fees, mark-up etc. and ensuring that comprehensive records are produced and maintained
  • Filling vacancies and achieving your own placement and gross profit targets



Skills & experience

You will:

  • Be an experienced Team Leader or Manager with proven experience of sales delivery in a results-focused environment, within the Technology industry
  • Have strong experience in recruitment (3 - 5 years), with a proven track record in billing
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the financial drivers of a business to enable improvement in gross profit.
  • Demonstrate good experience in developing and maintaining client and candidate relationships, preferably with passive candidates
  • Build and motivate your team, encourage creative thinking and inspire them to over-achieve.
  • Have an inquiring and inquisitive mind that thrives on building relationships at all levels.

Job Description

  • Managing a client or a portfolio of existing clients, identifying new commercial opportunities and maximising these opportunities increasing gross profit.

Senior Subcontracts Specialist

Accountabilities:

  • Preparation of final contract documents, internal recommendations and execution of contract
  • Negotiation of contracts, working on terms, conditions and commercial points.
  • Preparation and development of Contract Strategies
  • Preparation, coordination and issue of Pre-Qual /ITT packages
  • Analysis and evaluation of proposals
  • Assist in securing Local Tender Committee/Corporate Tender Board necessary approvals
  • Rate reviews, amendment, variation, milestones, completion/handover, disputes, invoicing and management of key suppliers.
  • Raising of Purchase Orders from approved requisitions, applying diligence to pricing and T&Cs, issue of call off orders to suppliers, track return of orders and expediting same.
  • Assurance of all documentation requirements relating to contracts (including Insurance documentation) and maintenance of existing contract documentation.
  • Developing and encouraging innovative methods and techniques through the contract life cycle
  • Lead efforts to resolve contractor claims or disputes in and when they arise
  • Providing key support to all stakeholders in the Contract performance management
  • Contribute to the functional activities of the Supply Chain function within Company as appropriate including reporting, departmental and SCM discipline meetings, etc


Major Challenges:

  • Building strong and productive relationships with the Project's key contractors and other internal / external stakeholders.
  • Negotiating high value / high risk contracts under time pressure.
  • Ensuring that the contracts are fit for purpose and achieve an appropriate allocation of risk between all parties.
  • Liaison with technical and operational departments and assistance in compiling joint agreed strategies.

We are looking for a skilled, bright, pragmatic and adaptable Junior Developer to join their DevOps group. The role will suit either recent graduates with previous development experience Successful candidates will have a strong academic background and exposure to at least one major commercial programming language and scripting languages such as PowerShell.
Good communication skills are also vital, as the role will involve interacting with a diverse range of people in the organisation. An ability to think "out-of-the-box" and some knowledge or understanding of the commodities business will be an advantage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As a member of the DevOps Kanban team, you will need to contribute to the analysis, review, development and deployment of "IT for IT" solutions
  • Design and develop DevOps applications and solutions that adhere to, and demonstrate best practice and that use a standard and consistent approach
  • Assist and support other development, support and infrastructure teams in their use of DevOps artefacts and systems
  • Help define, promote and encourage standard solutions & approach, and the application of best practice, to ensure that deliverables are reliable, maintainable, well-structured and reusable


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in designing and developing applications within a commercial organisation a distinct advantage

Fintech Developer (Developer SQL and Business Analytics)

The role will suit a developer who has played a key part in development projects, preferably in commodities or financial services environment. The developer will have significant SQL experience, and will have exposure to the full software development lifecycle. Experience with Business Objects and other analytics tools such as Tableau is also key.
The successful candidate will be a good all-rounder, with a "can-do" attitude and good communication skills. Enthusiasm and an ability to think "out-of-the-box" will be valued as will a focus on quality and teamwork.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delivery of high quality software as part of the FinTech scrum team, with particular focus on datacentric and Business Analytics stories
  • Work closely with IT colleagues and users during the course of delivery to specify, design and develop high quality solutions
  • Contribute to overall architecture development to ensure modernisation of analytics environments by leveraging big data technologies, including integration with existing data and analytics platforms and tools (EDWs, data integration, BI platforms etc)
  • Participate in code reviews and unit testing.
  • Contribution to the development and implementation of software development best practices.



EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years' experience with SQL Development
  • Minimum of one year's experience with Business Objects (including universe design)
  • Experience in working as part of an Agile team an advantage
  • Experience working in a commodities or financial services environment also an advantage


SKILL SETS

  • Excellent SQL knowledge (stored procedures, packages, etc), in particular SQL Server T-SQL/Oracle

Front-Office Senior Developer / Architect

We are looking for a skilled Senior Developer / Architect to work in their Front Office scrum team in London. The role will suit an individual who has made significant contributions to projects, preferably in commodities or financial services.
The successful candidate will have significant .Net (C#) experience in the full software development lifecycle, and will also have exposure to a range of other environments / stacks (e.g. Python, Java etc.) as well as Angular JS and other modern UI technologies. Exposure to SQL and/or SQL-based development is also important, especially relating to MS SQL Server but Oracle, Sybase ASE 15, and/or Sybase IQ is also of interest.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work as Senior Developer/Architect/Technical Lead in the Front Office Scrum, focussed on delivery of high-quality, well-engineered solutions
  • Work with FO Lead and peers to design and develop appropriate solutions to relevant to Front Office stakeholders
  • Work with Technical Leads, Developers, Project Managers and/or Analysts and/or users during the course of project delivery. This may include involvement in various phases of the application development project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to the overall design process for new projects and applications, and assist in ensuring alignment with the overall IT architecture and helping to develop out the latter to adjust with emerging standards in the marketplace
