IT Systems Engineer

Petroplan are currently looking for IT Systems Engineer to join their client as a IT Systems Engineer. The role is a permanent position and will be based in Aberdeen

Job Management:

  • Responsible for ensuring the support, development and maintenance of the clients applications in accordance with agreed standards/Service Level Agreements
  • Maintain the Power BI dashboard(s) and roll out software updates as issued by Microsoft
  • Implementation of Sharepoint
  • Provide consistent level of support, as outlined in SLA, to all users across the business
  • Respond to system tickets in agreed timescale, as per SLA
  • Deliver projects to timescales agreed by and with the project owner
  • To oversee with input and support from relevant departments effected data held in the clients C-SAM and review data quality regularly
  • Ensure that all changes, updates and necessary information is captured electronically in relevant server folder(s)
  • Undertake monthly reviews and maintenance checks across C-SAM and other business systems e.g. PowerBI, ETM etc
  • Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot system issues - working in partnership with IT colleagues as necessary
  • Set up and removal of new starters for C-SAM

Mentoring Development

  • Mentoring/coaching performance of all direct reports
  • Identify training needs and submit TRF's

Department Management

  • Proactively promote knowledge sharing across IT&S and the business
  • Advise and assist the business to identify opportunities how we can make best use of existing systems
  • Escalate business critical issues to management team
  • Manage the development and implementation of a cost effective Business Systems strategy and delivery plan which support the clients departments in working more productively and efficiently
  • To support the Marketing & Communications Director on the delivery of the overall IT & Systems roadmap
  • Keep up-to-date on new technologies and business system solutions through research
  • Effective management of department budgets
  • Take ownership of development standards, naming conventions, etc. within the applications team

HSEQ Leadership

Compliance of Management Systems

  • Ensure compliance and engagement with the clients Governance process in terms of approval and prioritisation of work

  • Check, revise and validate documentation

Technical Support

  • Provide assistance and leadership in the support of a range of IT&S solutions across the clients.
  • Demonstrate technical expertise across specific applications and databases and give advice and input to the function as to their use by the business
  • Act as the main point of contact between the clients and C-SAM on all technical and software enquiries
  • Provide and update business systems' user guides e.g. C-SAM, ETM
  • Training C-SAM super users and host refresher courses on software updates
  • Ensure reporting requirements fulfil statutory and the clients requirements

People Management

  • Ensure the team are working in accordance with common methodologies, processes, procedures and architecture. Effectively manage all people matters in a fair and consistent manner, in line with the Company policies & procedures
  • Participate in the recruitment to identify key personnel
  • Management of department/staff holidays as required
  • Ensure the efficient use of department resources
  • Lead employee training reviews and ensure training plan is being followed
  • Continual improvement through coaching, training, appraisals and performance management

PERSON SPECIFICATION - Qualifications, skills and experience required for the role

  • Tertiary education to degree/recognised certification level in a relevant subject or relevant industry experience
  • Formal service management qualification - ITIL
  • Extensive experience in delivery and support of Asset Management Software
  • Wide grounding in all aspects of IT&S with detailed knowledge of business application development and project life cycle: change control, reliability analysis, and quality management
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of the business use of specific applications/able to provide assistance over a wide range of applications and system issues
  • Demonstrable detailed technical understanding of a proportion of the applications within the clients portfolio
  • Experience of delivering and supporting application databases - SQL
  • Knowledge of reporting/ dashboard solutions
  • Previous experience with creation and implementation of Sharepoint

We are looking for a permanent Shift Supervisor for an Oil and Gas client based in Hertfordshire. This is to work on a downstream oil project. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK and for safety regulations live (or be willing to live) within 45 minutes of Hertfordshire.

Role:

As one of a team of 6 Shift Supervisors at our oil terminal, you will ensure the safe handling of all fuels and additives received, stored and distributed at the terminal, in line with our company standards safety standards and legislation. You will also support the maintenance of plant and equipment ensuring integrity management standards are adhered to.



Key accountabilities As the Shift Supervisor you will:

- Lead the day-to-day operation of the terminal, supervising a
small team of operations and maintenance colleagues
- Be accountable for the safety and well-being of all on-site
personnel, whilst on shift
- Adhere to all health, safety, environmental and security
requirements within the terminal
- Operate a computerised control room governing the flow of fuel
in and out of the terminal
- Ensure stock accounting deadlines and systems are
maintained and product quality standards are met
- Ensure the safe condition and operation of plant and equipment
- Prepare and issue Permits To Work for contractors working on
site
- Participate in and lead terminal safety and operations meetings
- Be initial on-scene incident commander in the unlikely event of
an emergency

Essential education:

- 5 GCSEs or equivalent, Grade C or above including Maths and

Key Role Accountabilities

  • Coordinating all rotational travel requirements to meet Iraq travellers' rotational and business requirements in Iraq in accordance with the relevant policies and processes.
  • Processing Armed Protection Teams for airport moves on Vantage in aligning with commercial flight requirement.
  • Ensure travellers receive their confirmed itineraries, invoices and Commercial Flight Authorisations (CFA), following up on any queries.

Petroplan are looking to recruit a Environmental Project Coordinator within the Climate Science and Sustainability sector, to work in Surrey England on a contract basis to start ASAP.


This role will coordinate the short term projects that are key to providing the business with science based evidence on which to make business decisions. The role is part of a critical programme focused on understanding the impact of a changing climate on the business. You will be part of the Climate Change and Sustainable Technologies team and apply knowledge of science, technology and policy etc. to help steer investment decisions and manage risk in the existing portfolio.


In particular, this role will focus on coordinating the projects that are undertaken by the team. The Climate Science and Sustainability Project coordinator will report to the Climate Science and Sustainability Manager.

Sourcing:

  • Manages multiple sourcing of the sector
  • Utilises ISNetworld to define bid-lists and issue Expressions of Interests (EOI)
  • Prepare Strategy & Bid List (SBL) for approval by relevant Governance Board
  • Prepare all necessary RFP and Contract documentation for issue through ARIBA OneSource and all subsequent clarifications and Supplier communications
  • Apply appropriate local contracting templates and work with Stakeholders to define and develop Scopes of Work and associated Evaluation criteria
  • Prepare and develop Bid Evaluation Plans (BEP)
  • Prepare Recommendation for Award (RFA) for approval by relevant Governance Board and ensure timely execution and implementation of Award Recommendations


Contract and Supplier Management:

  • Undertake Contract Management activities including the issuing of Call Offs, and support invoice queries and any dispute resolution as required
  • Support Supplier Performance Management against established Key Performance Indicators; monitor through Performance Review Meetings to ensure continuous improvement of supplier performance and delivery;
  • Support HSE or other investigations as required
  • Support Cost reduction activities through renegotiation and/or retendering activities, including the development of Negotiation Strategies
  • Continuous improvement in Contractor Safety performance and operational risk reduction with particular focus on Potential High Consequence Activities (PHCA) and improvement in process safety

MECHANICAL & PIPING ENGINEER - Roles & Responsibilities

Key Role
Mechanical and Piping Engineer to support the Lead Mechanical Engineer ensuring the safe and consistent application of Company and regulatory codes and standards and good engineering practice. Provide discipline input to the design, procurement, construction and commissioning phases of the topsides facilities. Working closely with the relevant Engineering Contractors, providing direction and ensuring delivery in accordance with the project schedule whilst maintaining technical integrity.

Roles & Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with Company engineering practices and HSSE standards.

  • Provide technical expertise on Piping Materials (Pipe, Valves, Fittings) and Mechanical (Static) Equipment.
  • Advise on use of standards, practices and design guidelines.



Work with the EPMS contractor to ensure project requirement and technical assurance are maintained.

  • Promote safety and environmental responsibility in all aspects of the equipment and systems design.
  • Suggest ways to improve efficiency and to reduce costs



Ensure that the equipment design meets the approved project specifications, industry standards and functional requirements including compliance with Company Project Principles, Engineering Technical Practices and associated guidelines.

Set direction and provide oversight of the Engineering Contractor & Equipment Vendors.

  • Set clear direction with respect to piping materials & mechanical static equipment issues and delivery of engineering in accordance with the project schedule.
  • Monitor vendor performance and initiate corrective actions / interventions as necessary.
  • Ensure alignment with Company objectives.
  • Control of change and scope growth.
  • Review & endorsement of EPMS contractor design deliverables and documents.
  • Review and endorsement of deviation and concession requests
  • Ensure Lead Mechanical Engineer is updated on key technical issues.



Key member of the Purchase Order Management Team (POMT). Manage vendor selection, package delivery and engineering compliance for static equipment for the platform topsides facilities including, but not limited to:

  • Piping Materials (Pipe, Valves, Fittings)
  • PD5500 duplex pressure vessels
  • Shell & Tube ASME VIII heat exchangers



Integration and interface management including Construction, Operations and 3rd Party consultants.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent.
  • CEng / IEng and Membership of a recognise Engineering Institution.
  • Broad engineering design experience required.
  • Major projects experience.
  • Working Knowledge of ASME B31.3, PD5500 and ASME VIII design codes.
  • Experience with selection, specification and delivery of piping materials (pipe, valves, fitting) and static mechanical vessels / systems / packaged equipment preferred.
  • Major operator experience preferred.
