Our client, an Automotive Production Company, are currently looking to hire an experienced Development Engineer to join an expanding team. The company deals with fuels and lubricants technology centres around the world.

 

Responsibilities:

  • To develop new fuels for various engines, including prototype/pre-production engines, to improve fuel economy
  • Develop and share expertise to help with the continuous improvement within the Development Team
  • Design and implement new test programs

 

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Mechatronics or related technical discipline
  • Preferred experience on diesel engines
  • Calibration / validation engineering
  • Experience of fuel or lubricant development, automotive engineering development and product research and technology
  • A Valid UK Work Permit or Passport

Our client, a Specialty Production Company, are currently looking to hire an experienced Technology Manager to join an expanding team. The company deals with fuels and lubricants technology centers around the world. Key lubricant product ranges include engine oils, brake fluids and anti-freezes for cars, trucks and motorbikes, as well as fluids and greases for shipping and industrial applications.

Responsibilities:

  • To be a Technology spokesperson for the Europe and Africa for customers/media events and communications
  • Give training and communication on the new products, technologies and future trends to the technical community
  • Give lubricant technical support to the customers and functions
  • Work with supply chain to drive down product cost of goods
  • Give support to the Technology Director in representing technology at the Europe and Africa leadership level to drive and support the strategic agenda.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Educated to Honours degree or equivalent in technical subject
  • Relevant and significant automotive experience

Fuels Shift Supervisor

I am looking to recruit a Fuels Shift Supervisor for a major Oil and Gas client based in Northampton on a permanent basis.

This role is one of a team of 6 shift supervisors working a rotating shift pattern, including nights and weekends, ensuring cover is provided around the clock 365 days per year

The Supervisor will ensure the safe handling of all fuels and additives received, stored and distributed at the Terminal, in line with appropriate Group Safety Standards and legislation.

The Supervisor will be required to supervise the maintenance of plant and equipment ensuring Integrity Management standards are adhered to.

The Shift Supervisor will also provide 24 hour 7 day service to maintain safe and efficient operation of UK Logistics driver and contractor workforce ensuring customer Focus priorities are not compromised.

During the absence of the line manager the Shift Supervisor will be the competent person on site.

To apply you must have the following:

  • Be familiar with emergency response equipment and procedures.
  • Be trained in the work permit system.
  • Experience of working with hazardous products.
  • Experience of working with industrial plant/processes.
  • Knowledge of requirements of ISO9002/14001 and of COSHH/COMAH regulations
  • Legislation and Safety awareness and knowledge.
  • Knowledge of IT systems used with Logistics, e.g. ETAS.
  • Knowledge of Logistics/Transport operations.
  • Knowledge of EU Drivers Hours regulations
  • Knowledge of UK working time regulations
  • Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) Certificate is preferred

  • NVQ Level 2 Bulk Liquid Warehousing is preferred

  • Recognised Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH) is preferred

  • First Aid Training is required

Petroplan are looking to recruit 2x Technical Built Environment Planning Officers on a full Permanent staff package, working Monday to Friday in London.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


The successful candidate will have the opportunity to drive the company's Built Environment Planning offer, working alongside the Lead Technical Director to capitalise on our impressive client list.
You will be a work winner in your own right, with an appetite to unlock and develop new and existing client opportunities and relationships. You will also play a key role in evolving the wider planning team by developing and monitoring junior planning staff.
The successful candidate will provide exceptional advice on a range of planning topics to a variety of clients; therefore strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
You will have a fantastic working knowledge of all local planning legislations and a strong background in the delivery of projects. Equally, a strong track record of project management would be an advantage as the structure lends itself to the delivery of an integrated offer to clients.
We undertake planning and environmental services across a wide range of sectors; therefore you will ideally have experience in and practice across all of these. You should also be experienced in providing the lead advice in client meetings and presentations, and will play an important part in business development

  • Demonstrable consultancy based Planning experience focusing on the Built Environment sector, and excellent knowledge of local planning legislation
  • Business development, team management/growth and project delivery expertise gained within Planning Consultancy
  • Relevant RTPI accredited degree and full RTPI membership
