Production Technicians required for multiple positions offshore North Sea with immediate starts
Candidates will require offshore certification and, ideally, offshore experience and CRO experience.
Duties will include preparing production wells for testing, carrying out tests as specified, and completing well test reports. Carrying out process systems sampling activities, processes samples and preparing results as required, monitors chemical injection rates and maintaining tanks levels and stocks.

The post holder will be required to lead a team to provide technical testing services support to the department that conduct all internal based product testing.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team that consists of Mechanical, Electronic, Instrumentation, IT and technicians to support engine, vehicle and rig testing
  • Responsible for maintenance and installation of equipment (instrumentation systems, test bed control systems and electrical infrastructure)
  • Giving advice on latest technology and future trends in software

Experience & Qualifications:

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Petroplan for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our Guildford-based IT team.

What does the role include?

  • Day to day support, management and configuration of Petroplan's servers, client hardware and associated network equipment
  • Installation, creation, configuration and on-going maintenance of SQL server production, development and test database instances
  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of all manner of servers and client hardware and associated network equipment (Netmotion, Paxton Security, VDT, Access SelectHR)
  • Providing day to day technical administration of windows 2003/2008 Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DFS/DHCP/WINS, Windows 2008 File and Print services and Network Infrastructure
  • Setup new users on Petroplan systems and provide second and third line support to all users globally


What skills will you need to have?

  • Excellent technical IT skills, including a strong working knowledge of Windows Servers, WSUS, vCloud, Powershell, SQL, and others
  • MCSA/MCITP/CCA6/VCP5 qualification
  • Experience in PowerShell scripting
  • A self-starter attitude and someone who can run with autonomy and responsibility

  • Experience in contract administration and management in a construction environment.
  • Ability to work closely and collaboratively within the team and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Regular travel to project sites in North Yorkshire will be required, therefore a clean UK driving licence is essential.

I am looking to recruit a Technical Writer for a major Oil and Gas client in London who is available to start by the 1st May 2018 for a 3-6 month period.

Person requirements;
* 3 years' experience of technical writing, preferably in the Energy (oil & gas) sector.
* Strong IT skills, a power user of Microsoft Word. Experience of online document collaboration systems (e.g. XaitPorter) would be advantageous.
* Excellent attention to detail, mastery at English writing.
* Ability to understand complex technical topics and translate into an accessible written piece.
* Experience of writing documents for submission to government.
* Educated to Bachelor's Degree level or higher. A degree in Geology, Petroleum Engineering or a similar mixed literate/numerate degree subject would be beneficial.
* A working knowledge of Portuguese is not essential, but would make a candidate stand out.
* Available to start by the 1st May 2018 for a 3-6 month period.

IT Support Analyst - Guildford


An opportunity has arisen at Petroplan for an IT Support Analyst to join the team based in Guildford. Petroplan is a specialist oil and gas recruitment company with a large contractor base and numerous applications and platforms, so this will be a varied and interesting role which will allow the successful candidate to have exposure to all systems.


Reporting to the Digital and Systems Analyst, you will support in the management of Petroplan's core application software which relates to the acquisition, processing and information transfer for candidates and business contacts for purpose of recruitment and finance activities.


What does the role include?

  • Day to day support of Petroplan's core applications
  • You will become a super user for the Bullhorn system and integrations, supporting on any issues raised through the helpdesk and the Digital and Systems Analyst.
  • Involvement in the GDPR project team to ensure systems are maintained in compliance with Petroplan's GDPR commitments
  • Support with the rollout of system change training. E.g. any enhancements to core systems
  • Provide training on all Petroplan systems to new and existing employees
  • Manage the systems maintenance for internal user systems
  • Assist with application development support to improve core business processes
  • Ensure agreed regular internal reporting commitments are met


What skills will you need to have?

  • Excellent technical IT skills, including a strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Visio, Word)
  • Knowledge of Bullhorn or a similar CRM system would be desirable
  • Experience working within a recruitment environment would be preferable
  • Knowledge of systems accounting principles would be desirable
