Facility Integrity Engineer Requirements

1) Minimum of 10 years relevant work experience in the Pipeline, Oil and Gas, Midstream, and Petrochemical Industries, dealing with static equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, tanks, fired equipment, short pipeline segments, and pressure relief valves).
2) Four-year degree or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering Discipline.
3) Strong knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.8, API 510, API 570, API RP 574, API RP 576, API 579-1, API 653, NACE MR-01-075, SPCC, etc.
4) Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to develop spreadsheets.
5) Strong analytical and communication skills, able to successfully lead colleagues through difficult issues.
6) Ability to work in an independent environment under the scrutiny and pressure of regulatory agencies.
7) Ability to work within a diverse makeup of facility personnel, Engineers, Managers, EH&S professionals, and contract personnel.

Facility Integrity Engineer Job Duties

1) Support GTM Subject Matter Experts for the mechanical integrity of static equipment.
2) Review inspection reports/findings and make recommendations for remediation and /or future inspection activities for static equipment.
3) Perform suitability for service evaluations of static equipment based on design parameters and equipment condition.
4) Assists with the development, evaluation, and maintenance of the Facility Integrity Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
5) Review equipment specs and process conditions to help determine potential damage mechanisms for static equipment.
6) Will interface with Field Operations to assist with the development of equipment repair scopes of work.

Primary Focus:
A leader in energy industry in crude and natural gas transportation and gathering, has an immediate need for a Senior Cost Engineer. This position will be responsible for providing "Total Cost Control" guidance, governance and support functions on assigned projects for Authorization for Expenditure components (engineering, procurement, construction, project management, support groups, contingency, escalation, etc.). This position will report directly to Supervisor, Project Controls, Core Gas Projects. The primary responsibility for this position will be to support the Cost Control. The position may also have a supporting role in Schedule Control and other Project Controls Specialist functions. Project assignments can range from less than one year / $1MM to multi-year $500 MM. The position is located in Houston in a mainly office environment with occasional travel to other offices or project sites in United States and Canada.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university, preferably in Business Administration, Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Completion of a Certified Cost Engineer (AACE's CCC/ CCE) or Project Management Professional credential (PMP) is preferred.
  • Proficient in SAP, EcoSys, Excel, PowerPoint and Word with proven technical writing abilities.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in performing cost and schedule management and other project controls functions over engineering, procurement, construction components on large capital projects, preferably in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Industrial and/or Power industries.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to respond to and anticipate information needs and present that information in a clear concise manner.
  • Experience in developing, enhancing and implementing cost and schedule standards.
  • Experience in using and enhancing cost controls tools and associated systems.
  • Effective analytical skills with the ability to understand detailed workflows for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction.
  • Must be able to work with a team dispersed over multiple locations.


Description
The Cost Control function is responsible for cost controls, invoices, forecasting, and analyzing productivity factors and cost/schedule performance indices. Additional responsibilities are related to work extra authorizations and risk identification for the project. Also responsible for generating all monthly, bi-monthly, and quarterly reports with intended audiences ranging from local project team members to senior level company executives and the Board of Directors.

Duties / Technical Expertise - Cost Control

  • Provide support to the Project Manager, project team and project cost controls staff on how cost should be planned, tracked, measured, forecasted and reported during project execution and/or development. Monthly review of cost/cash flow forecasts with the Project Manager and extended project team to generate regular reporting requirements.
  • Provide timely, accurate and relevant guidance, governance and support to projects on approved cost controls standards to manage Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) components including External Engineering services, Procurement of Material/Equipment, Construction services, internal cost, Allowance for Funds Used During Construction, Contingency, Escalation, etc.
  • Maintain cost and schedule planning, tracking and reporting tools. Provide timely support to the Project Controls Supervisor for monthly review meetings with Senior Management.
  • Possess a solid understanding and application of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and methodology in order to identify, analyze and report cost risks in a timely fashion.
  • Manage continuous and collaborative communication with Project Managers and project cost controls teams to address project cost related needs.
  • Monitor project reporting and identify deviations from standard reports. Assist project cost controls teams with timely and accurate data gathering and delivery issues.
  • Participate and resolve any issues in execution of joint Cost, Schedule and Risk Health Checks to verify effective planning and implementation of cost processes.
  • Take interest and actively participate in project meetings with vendors to understand and become familiar with changes in project status in order to provide assistance in the areas of cost.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The position of Instrument Engineer reports to the site-based Lead Instrument Engineer and will be part of a small team responsible for ensuring that instrumentation systems function safely, efficiently, and reliably. The primary goal of the Instrument Engineer is to contribute to the Instrumentation Engineering Groups' efforts to meet business goals for production while minimizing unscheduled equipment downtime. My Client is now looking for the next member to join our MIS (Management Information Systems) team in Houston.

Role Terms


12 month contract

Position Core Responsibilities
  • Writing modular, reusable components to liaise between external sources of data, internal tools and databases
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and centrality of our client Python codebase
  • Porting of legacy code into Python where appropriate
  • Able to translate business requirements into a technical delivery following existing patterns where possible

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3 years of enterprise-level coding experience in Python
  • Experience scraping websites with Beautiful Soup, Selenium, etc.
  • Oracle / PL SQL development experience including stored procedures
  • Strong understating of object oriented design, design patterns, SOA architectures
  • Past experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Proficient understanding of peer-reviewing, code versioning, and bug/issue tracking tools.
  • Development experience implementing solutions utilizing cloud technologies like AWS is preferred
  • Commodities/Energy Industry experience desired
  • Familiarity with containerization solutions like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus

Position Core Responsibilities
  • Work with team to develop strategic set of analytics applications
  • Participate in full development life cycle from definition to design to delivery
  • Work directly with end users to drive our requirements and delivery value add features
  • Meet aggressive deadlines with focus on quality and performance
  • Collaboration with global team including participation in daily scrum meetings, peer reviews and design sessions
  • Deliver testable and maintainable code for globally distributed systems



Qualifications and Experience

  • 3 years' experience working with C# and related .NET technologies within global enterprise solutions
  • 2 years' experience in front end development with React
  • Awareness of continuous integration and delivery concepts/technologies
  • Experience with RDBMS and SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
  • Ability to interact with stakeholders to progress design and satisfy requests
  • Experience working in an agile scrum development model
  • Understanding of commodities trading concepts including market data is desired
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
