Kenya is one of the most influential countries in Africa as a result of its natural mineral and oil and gas resources. Oil was only recently discovered in the Turkana region, where initial studies indicate that there is around 10 billion barrels worth of oil within the country, although this number is likely to increase as exploration of these fields continue.
Once you have a job offer in Kenya, you’ll need to apply for your visa and a residence permit as soon as possible. Depending on the length of your contract, you’ll need either a class D, G, I or K visa based on whether you’re working in Kenya for 3 months or a longer period.
