Tool Technician

Petroplan is hiring for a Tool Technician in Broussard, LA for a major Oil and Gas company.
Job Description:

  • Performs maintenance functions such as repairs on down-hole tools, surface equipment and other production equipment in the application for down-hole tools.
  • Assembles and disassemble down-hole tools, surface equipment, and other production equipment.
  • Given the nature of oil field service work, the ability to communicate effectively with others is necessary.
  • The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required.
  • Disassembling equipment, performing Maintenance, providing service to the customer in a timely manner
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment a plus.
  • Ability to read and understand tool drawings a plus.


Additional Information:

  • Basic computer skills are preferred.
  • Licensure to drive commercial equipment may be required.
  • This is the entry level position into the tool tech family.
  • Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
  • Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines. Promotes and takes an active part in the quality improvement process.

Location: Based in Louisiana-Remote

Our client is a UK headquartered, global leader in fluid control technology who is looking to grow their successful Louisiana based market by bringing on an experienced Area Sales Manager.

Area Sales Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' Degree, with a focus in Engineering strongly preferred
  • No less than 5 years' of relevant experience
  • Responsible for four key competencies, such as: delivering results, driving innovation, driving business and focusing on long-term customer needs
  • Responsible for all sales activities in the Louisiana based market, including: sales budgets, goals and objectives
  • Implementing sales strategies to achieve budgets
  • Developing new as well as maintaining existing business
  • Remote based position
  • 50% travel required
