HSE Advisor - Drilling

Petroplan is actively recruiting for a Drilling HSE Advisor for a deepwater Gulf of Mexico project. This position will be working on a rotational contract basis for a reputable international oil and gas company and act as the company HSE representative on a deepwater drilling rig.

Prospective candidates must have at least 10 years' experience in the oil & gas industry as well as extensive offshore drilling experience on floating rigs for an E&P company. Prior experience as a Drilling HSE Advisor is required.

Please note at this time we can only accept applications from contractors eligible to work in the USA without sponsorship. Must be available to start work in June/July 2019.

Company man/Drilling Supervisor/Wellsite Leader

Currently working with an international E&P business who are on the look out for a Drilling Supervisor/Company man/Wellsite Leader to join their Deepwater busines unit on a contract basis starting within the next couple of months.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Over 10 years of offshore Drilling experience

- Worked in a lead supervisor role on either a Drillship or Semisubmersible in the Gulf of Mexico

- Recent Gulf of Mexico supervisor experience

Drilling Engineer - Deepwater

Position: Wellsite Drilling Engineer

Job type: Contract Rotational

Location: Houston, Gulf of Mexico operations

Petroplan is currently working with an E&P business who are in the process of increasing their Gulf of Mexico footprint. Due to this continued expansion, a need has arisen within the business to add a Wellsite Drilling Engineer to their Gulf of Mexico operations division to assist with the ongoing and upcoming projects due to start Q3 this year.

In this position, you will report directly into the Drilling Superintendent and be heavily involved in the planning and execution phases of the drilling program. You will be involved with ensuring that all activities are planned, scheduled and executed to achieve the agreed requirements in a safe and efficient manner. Key challenges will include:

  • Establish and promote safety and environmental performance expectations with employees and contractors in accordance with the Company's safety policies and Safe Sound initiative.
  • Preparing operational plans for planned wells and liaising with other departments when required
  • Responsible for drilling optimization, identifying best practises and running lessons learned when required
  • Travel to the field is required as and when needed
  • Deal with third party vendors with a strong focus on cost and performance

Experienced Required

  • At least 10 years of Drilling Engineering experience
  • Previous Wellsite Drilling Engineering Gulf of Mexico experience

Position: Rig Clerk

Location: Gulf of Mexico operations

Petroplan is currently working with an E&P business who are in the process of increasing their Gulf of Mexico footprint by adding additional Deepwater rigs later in the year. Due to this continued expansion, a need has arisen within the business to add multiple Rig Clerks to their Gulf of Mexico operations division to assist with the ongoing and upcoming projects.

In this position, you will report directly into the Drilling Superintendents and be heavily involved in the planning and execution phases of the drilling program. You will be involved with logistical, procurement, accounting and clerical duties to achieve the agreed requirements in a safe and efficient manner. Key challenges will include:

  • Coordinating the logistics for Drilling and production operations materials/equipment's.
  • Liaise with Drilling supervisors and Superintendents on the ongoing logistics
  • Adheres to all federal and state regulatory requirements associated with the shipping of hazardous material
  • Ensures all data including the daily cost are entered in to Open Wells for daily report submission.

Experienced Required

  • Offshore certification is up to date
  • Previous experience working as a Rig Clerk
  • Offshore experience (Gulf of Mexico preferred)

HSE Manager

Position: HSE Manager

Job type: Permanent, Monday to Friday

Location: Westlake, Louisiana

Petroplan is currently working with a Petrochemical facility who require an HSE Manager for their Westlake facility as they head into the Operational phase.

In this position, you will act as the focal point for all site safety matters and report directly to the Head of the Facility. You will be involved with ensuring that all activities are planned, scheduled and executed to achieve the agreed requirements in a safe and efficient manner. Key challenges will include:

  • Schedule, plan and execute all HSE functions in coordination with Operations and in compliance with safety procedures, relevant safety, environmental, legal and ethical rules.
  • Write, implement and manage HSE Programs, Policies and Procedures.
  • Train staff to promptly respond to HSE-related issues, concerns, etc., and advise the HSE Manager immediately.
  • Be knowledgeable and enforce compliance with Regulatory requirements (i.e., OSHA, EPA, etc.) as well as company HSE policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate for the HSE Manager position will have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent experience), with over 10 years of HSE experience in Refining or Petrochemical (Oil & Gas) environment and fire brigade experience (must have fire response training/experience).

Production Engineer

Senior Production Engineer - Deepwater

Petroplan is actively recruiting for a Production Engineering professional focusing on deepwater Gulf of Mexico assets.

This role is based in Louisiana, focusing on optimizing production and performing surveillance of well performance on company operated assets as well as generating start-up procedures for new subsea wells.

Prior experience in production modeling (using NODAL analysis) and the management of flow assurance for subsea wells is required in this position. Being a Gulf of Mexico focused role, extensive experience in these deepwater assets (5 years ) is required. This position will work closely with P&A, Engineering/Construction, G&G and drilling groups to generate field development plans with project management experience required.
