Our client, a large oil & gas organization is looking to add an administrative assistant for a 1 year independent contract in Fort McMurray. This individual will provide administrative support to the mine operations team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist leaders with time and calendar management
  • Arrange meetings and assist with document preparation and communication for meetings
  • Address scheduling conflicts with clear and timely communication and advise of actions and deadlines in advance
  • Attend meetings as requested, take notes of action items and key messages and participate and provide support during meetings
  • Support leaders with expense management and booking travel arrangements
  • Exercise mature judgment and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Administer LiveLink folders and the information request process
  • Liaise with the facilities helpdesk, meeting room services and other support groups to assist with the administration of information technology and meeting room equipment, office moves, etc.


Required Qualifications
Experience and Education:

  • Five or more years of administrative experience
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Office Administration is preferred


Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP and Livelink experience is an asset
  • Ability to take initiative to follow through on pending items through strong prioritization and organizational skills

Our client, a large oil & gas organization is looking to add a Reliability Engineer for a 12 month independent contract located in Fort McMurray.


Job Overview

  • Reporting to the Reliability Manager, you will work closely with the maintenance group to provide mechanical engineering, and equipment reliability support.


Key Responsibilites

  • Develop equipment strategies and preventive maintenance programs
  • Support failure, root cause, and incident investigations and develop recommendations and action plans to prevent reoccurrence
  • Participate in implementing reliability improvement initiatives in conjunction with the equipment asset multi-functional teams
  • Conduct reliability analysis to predict remaining service life and make recommendations for equipment change out or overhaul
  • Liaise with the vendors and original equipment manufacturers to resolve technical issues
  • Employ equipment health monitoring tools to develop condition alarm thresholds, and technical operating envelops
  • Conduct event driven and predictive maintenance analysis;
  • Develop equipment and component health assessments, using maintenance history, condition monitoring tools and component hours;
  • Liaise with Maintenance Planning and Execution to optimize maintenance scheduling
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize fleet lifecycle;
  • Assess cost opportunities for fleet optimization;


Qualifications

Experience and Education:

  • Four or more years of experience in mobile mining or heavy equipment maintenance and reliability engineering. Any previous mining operations and LVF/Support experience is an asset
  • Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering
  • Registered professional engineer (P.ENG) or eligable for registration
  • Possess a valid driver's license


Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with a working knowledge of SAP
  • Well-developed critical thinking, with an ability to apply logic and challenge assumptions

FPSO Planning Engineer Role synopsis

This position will report to the Lead Planner.

Subsea Structural Engineer

Our client, a large Oil & Gas organisation is looking to add a Subsea Structural Engineer, based in St. John's NL. Candidates need to based locally.


This is a 1 year independent contract that is expected to be extended for 2.5 years depending on the progress of the project, needs of the business etc. This is a Monday to Friday, 8-5 office position based in St. John's, NL but will require frequent local travel to fabrication sites.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Subsea Projects Team with the design and fabrication of subsea manifold structures, including associated testing, inspections, loadout and installation, as required.
* Manage contractor design in accordance with industry codes, standards and design guidelines, client specifications and project scope of work.
* Lead the review of contractor design documentation including detailed design reports, equipment specifications, data sheets and Material Take Offs.
* Provide day to day support for projects where required including internal progress reporting.
* Travel to and from fabrication sites/facilitates to review or oversee scope progress when required (estimated once or twice per week)
* Promote positive safety culture.

Requirments:
* Minimum of 10 years related experience in offshore oil and gas development/operations.
* Bachelor's Degree or Masters of Science in Engineering.
* Professional Engineering Designation.
* Fabrication site and/or shop experience.
* Aware of all relevant codes and standards applicable to subsea structures design and fabrication.
* Extensive knowledge and understanding of CNLOPB regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities:

Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, (in conjunction with the Maintenance Superintendent & Field Superintendent), the Senior Mechanical Commissioning Technician is responsible to provide:

Commissioning expertise on behalf of Chad Operations & Maintenance Management within a green field and brown field project environment as the Senior Mechanical Commissioning Technician as required.

Collaborative development of detailed Mechanical Commissioning Procedures and Commissioning Plans in conjunction with the Operations Services Function Group, Construction Group and Operations Group in accordance with recognised industry, ISO international and Company standards.

Provide leading operations guidance to ensure that the pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up of facilities is seamless and delivered in a prescribed manor in preparation for RFO (Ready for Operations).

Facilitate a co-operative working arena within the Project Business Unit and other functional support groups.

Remain current with knowledge and understanding of industry operating standards, practices and technology.

Provide the opportunity for CA&A (Competency Assessment & Assurance) based training of national staff throughout the course of the commissioning process in conjunction with the Operations Maintenance & Production Departments as outlined in the company training plan.

Detailed Description:

Experience in Emergency Response as part of an Emergency Response Team within Production Operations & Maintenance (on-shore & off-shore).

Competent in the preparation of commissioning planning and reporting documentation

Competent in understanding and explaining related documentation (P&ID's, Piping isometric drawings, construction plans, Plant integrity and inspection procedures and planning, installation and start-up of rotating equipment (centrifugal, & PD Pumps, Prime-movers, Diesel and Gas reciprocating engines), Gas compression facilities, Fired heaters, Vessels and associated process isolation Valve systems

Competent in troubleshooting and interrogating rotating equipment performance.

Track record in developing and working within matrix-type functional support organisational structure.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and in a remote fast-changing developing environment.

Experience within oil/gas field operations and/ or project based facilities development covering well sites, gathering systems and manifolds, testing facilities, production facilities and production operations, in a multi-national commissioning operations team.

Experience with plant upgrading and general process optimisation.

Supervises: Assigned discipline Mechanical commissioning technicians as required. The position also requires the 'on the job' training of junior trainee Technicians in accordance with the company Competency Assessment & Assurance training plan in conjunction with the Maintenance/ Production and Training Departments.

Lead Process Safety Engineer

The Lead Process Safety Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of Process Safety engineering activity on an offshore project in the Caspian region.

  • Working with the Engineering Contractor during FEED and long lead procurement phases of the Project, providing technical integrity assurance in the delivery of the Process Safety scope of work, as well as input to the overall project and engineering decisions. The incumbent will be responsible for the planning of any future stages of the work for the Process Safety discipline.
  • Key attributes involve a working knowledge of all relevant codes, standards, and regulations that pertain to the design of the facility, significant experience in relevant discipline engineering position. Individual to have a high level of technical competence and comfortable playing a lead discipline role in a multi-discipline engineering team.

  • Experience in design safety in front end engineering design and detailed design, EPMS Contractor experience on major Projects. Drilling Engineering experience will be a further benefit. A broad experience in terms of the various aspects of design and Process safety is required.

  • Track record of delivery and able to demonstrate effective project technical management and leadership skills.

  • An ability to assess a design and identify what could go wrong and how severe any possible consequences may be, using engineering judgement.

  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to lead through influencing others. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the project team, Contractors and leadership team.
