This position is contract, long term, and competitive hourly pay. Prospective candidates will be responsible for supporting development, implementation and sustainment for pressure equipment, piping, storage tanks and fired heaters.
Requirements:
* Degree in Materials or Mechanical Engineering

Requirements:

  • P.ENG/ Able to register with APEGA

Maintenance Specialist Calgary

We are looking for an experience Maintenance Specialist to support improvements in the Mobile Equipment area for both of our Mine sites. In this exciting opportunity you will be the central point of contact and will collaborate with operations and site's maintenance execution, planning, scheduling teams to identify opportunities to improve procedures and overall maintenance execution tasks in support of Mobile Equipment Availability targets.
You will use your expertise to:

  • Identify routine and preventive maintenance activities and ensure that maintenance work is carried out in a safe and reliable manner while providing maintenance field expertise to procedures updates
  • Identify maintenance opportunities and priorities to meet performance targets
  • Review and help prioritize maintenance execution related transformational projects
  • Set priorities for the maintenance planners of all maintenance work in support of Mobile fleet availability targets
  • Collaborate with operations regarding maintenance work that impacts the day-to-day operation and long-term improvements
  • Identify specific competency requirements for maintainers and service contractors to achieve end goals
  • Identify opportunities to improve scheduling and execution of all major shutdowns for mobile fleet in the region
  • Reviewing the work to help ensure that the outage is run on schedule and in a safe, cost-effective manner
  • Ensure that the operating equipment in the area is maintained in a cost-effective manner

  • 8 years of experience corrosion monitoring, performing evaluations and failure analysis, and finally, designing corrosion management plans
  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Materials is preferred)
  • Technical experience within materials selection, failure investigation, corrosion mechanisms, RBA/RBI etc.

Engineering Analyst - GIS

Description

This role is in the Integrity department at of a global mid stream business based in Toronto. The goal of the Integrity department is to ensure the safe and reliable operation of all of the company's gas-carrying assets. The role resides in the Integrity Data Assessment team in Integrity which focuses on risk modelling and assessment, data governance, and software administration for all types of assets in Integrity. This contract position will be dedicated to a multi-year integration project to amalgamate Legacy Union TIMP pipelines into the Pipeline Risk and Integrity Management (PRIM) software; the team is looking for a highly motivated and technically sound Engineering Analyst to perform the following duties:


* Conduct detailed checks of converted pipeline dataset to ensure they meet reporting standards and accurately reflect the pipeline specifications
* Review Engineering drawings, bill of materials, other company records to validate pipeline specifications
* Review and assess pipeline Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) records and digitize pertinent information using the PRIM software package.
* Create and manipulate GIS dataset using satellite imagery and basic tools in ESRI ArcMap software package
* Obtain a technical understanding of Integrity documents and processes to drive improvements to the data supporting Integrity and Risk assessments.

* Technology diploma or Engineering degree
* Ability to read and comprehend technical documents, engineering drawings, and as-built construction drawings
* Technically inclined with ability to understand and solve problems by formulating conclusions based on various data inputs
* A high level of attention to detail and capable of quickly and independently learning new processes
* Strong sense of organization and planning
* Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to self-learn new software platforms

* Previous experience in Records Management, Pipeline/Materials engineering, or Integrity
* Knowledge of internal policies and procedures
* Experience working with ESRI ArcMap or Google Earth
* Proficient in VB Script and SQL coding languages

Petroplan is currently working with a major midstream business who require an additional Safety Officer to join their Gas Gathering and Processing operations.

In this position, you will provide technical assistance to field personnel for the implementation Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures. You will be involved with ensuring that all activities are planned, scheduled and executed to achieve the agreed requirements in a safe and efficient manner. Key challenges will include:

  • Provide process safety subject matter expertise (SME), advice and recommendations as part of facilitation, participation in and/or review of process hazard analyses and risk analyses.
  • Support Operations Risk Management Process requirements at the operating area level, including risk identification facilitation, quality review, SME advice, and area risk reviews.
  • Provide advice regarding process safety considerations as part of management of change (MOC) and pre-start-up safety reviews (PSSRs).
  • Lead and participate in process safety related incident investigations.
  • Assess Process Safety Management Program standards and practices for alignment with regulatory, industry, and company requirements.

Qualifications

  • Relevant technical diploma or engineering degree in chemical engineering or safety discipline or related technical field with demonstrable experience in process safety management.
  • 4 or more years of experience in gas processing, pipeline, petrochemical or refining industries including experience working with field operations personnel.
  • Experience facilitating and participating in various forms of process safety analysis using standard techniques (e.g. HAZOP, LOPA, bowtie).

Suitable candidates will be a driven, autonomous, self-motivated safety professional who is passionate and hungry to succeed.
