  • Drilling Unit (MODU) team in all activities for the well construction or
  • intervention project. As the senior Company representative on the facility, the
  • Lead Supervisor ensures safe, regulatory compliant and efficient operations.
  • Leads daily well construction or well intervention activities on rig.
  • Ensures the operation is carried out in accordance with the approved drilling
  • program.
  • Recent harsh weather floating drilling experience required.
  • 5th or 6th generation rig experience including dual activity derrick
  • experience, MUX BOP systems required.
  • Knowledge of subsea completions and work-over activities desirable.
  • Knowledge of local regulatory conditions.
  • Leads morning and afternoon rig calls and participate in applicable contractor safety programs
  • Jointly accountable (with OIM) for on-scene emergency response readiness and
  • leadership.
  • Edits and contributes to improving Daily Drilling Plans; overall
  • accountability for implementation of these Plans.
  • Responsible for Daily Operations Planner
  • Coaches and mentors team members.
  • Accountable for safe and efficient SIMOPS with FPSO and other vessels
  • Accountable for accurate, complete and timely reporting
  • Accountable for cost stewardship
  • Accountable for ice management operations
  • Audits rig condition and activities, reports positive and negative findings
  • and monitors corrective actions.
  • Accountable for safe and efficient management of change
  • Accountable for timely, complete and accurate incident reporting
  • Facilitates thorough incident investigations
  • Accountable for protection of subsea facilities when in close proximity.



Minimum Certification to be provided before going offshore.

  • IWCF or recognized Subsea Supervisor Well Control Certificate
  • WCF or recognized Intervention Well Control Certificate
  • CAPP East Coast Offshore Medical Certificate
  • C-NLOPB Approved Basic Survival Training

Our client who is a leading Oil and Gas company are currently looking for a Site Administrator for a 3 month contract based in Fort McMurray, FIFO on a 7/7 rotation, flights will be provided from Calgary or Edmonton


Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing general correspondence for the Maintenance Team, including posting announcements to the portal, running reports and assist with research when practicable as required by the Maintenance Manager
  • Liaise with other groups within the client, Service Desk, Procurement, Document Control and the Administrative network to provide support for personnel including IS Requests, network access, requesting Purchase Orders and other facilities requests through the Corporate Office Services
  • Support financial deliverables including reporting requirements, reviewing incorrect billing from other business units and tracking of journal entries submitted to the Finance team.
  • Act as a Time Administrator for the Maintenance department
  • Liaises with the Logistics Coordinators regarding Charter flights and camp accommodations, providing general maintenance over the scheduler tool(s) as well as major schedule changes. Provide support to personnel in booking commercial flight, hotel and vehicle rental reservations as per the Corporate process ensuring that the preferred suppliers are used.
  • Follows the established onboarding and offboarding processes for personnel in regard to computer access, site access, as well as locker and work station allocation. Provide support as needed for the recruitment process of vacancies within the Maintenance Department.



Skills Required:

  • High school diploma or secretarial diploma, or equivalent training and business experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' progressive administrative/secretarial experience, preferably in the petroleum industry.
  • Strong organization skills, with the ability to set priorities, follow-up and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent proof reading and business writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Outlook and Lync. Microsoft Visio is an asset.
  • Proficiency in SAP

Change Management Analyst

Change Management Analyst

The role supports the translation of RFI's and Change Proposals into trends and will audit and monitor same on an ongoing basis. This role also supports the Trends Meetings through the preparation and updates to the trend logs and the preparation and analysis of high level cost estimates. In addition, this role will assist with the development of monthly stewardship slides for trends.

This is a 1-year contract starting as soon as possible. This role will work primarily out of the St. John's office, Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week. This role may require occasional travel to Modification Yard and/or Texas, however requirement is minimal. Most work can be performed remotely from the St. John's corporate office.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Proactively liaise with all pertinent project leadership to identify potential trends in scope, cost, and schedule from the current cost and/or schedule baselines * For every trend and/or change in the CMS: coordinate the accurate and timely compilation of the change request in CMS and ensure all relevant information is accurate and up to date so as to facilitate senior leadership decision making * Facilitate and support weekly trend meetings * Support the translation of the hundreds of RFI's that come in into trends * Audit and monitor RFI's at regular intervals

MUST HAVE Qualifications:
* 5-10 years' practical work experience in Change Management and strong technical proficiency * Know their way around oil & gas equipment * Project controls experience in both cost and schedule * Experience with trend management practices, processes, and workflows * Exceptional communication skills; must be able to support diverse, cross functional teams with multiple stakeholders

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assists with monthly financial closing and issuance of financial statements.
  • Responsible for monthly GL reconciliations with supporting schedules, and related journal entries

Requirements:

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Sage 50 and Access
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, and/or Hyperion reporting an asset

Maintenance Planner / Scheduler

Our client who is a leading Oil and Gas Operator are currently looking for a Maintenance Scheduler / Planner on a long term contract basis, FIFO from AB or BC this will be a 14/14 Rotation.

The Successful candidate will be the liaison with all site personnel to ensure that right work is being done at the right time using the right resources in the safest, most fiscally responsible and efficient manner. As part of the Maintenance Planning Team you will support the overall Planning and Scheduling activities as well as provide coverage as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform the scheduling functions for Maintenance using the Maintenance Strategy and its tools and procedures.
  • Provide coverage support for Planners and Schedulers as required
  • Ensures the successful ongoing operations and maintenance of facilities.
  • Responsible for scheduling all maintenance work at production and support facilities.
  • Ensures the daily work status is captures and next day's schedule is reviewed and communicated with both operations and maintenance personnel.
  • Communicates with service providers to ensure their availability to meet the schedule needs.
  • Ensures work plans are completed in a timely manner, material is on-hand and the job is ready to be scheduled.



MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 years' experience as a Red Seal Trade Journeyman
  • Understanding of the job functions of all the trades (Pipefitter, Instrumentation, Electrician, Millwright, etc)
  • 5 - 7 years' experience in Planning and Scheduling
  • 5 years' experience in a maintenance position
  • 10 years' experience in the oil and gas industry
  • SAP experience
  • GWOS - Graphical Work Order Scheduler v6 (Prometheus/SAP) experience
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

* Demonstrate leadership of EHS initiatives: participation in the behavioral based safety program and demonstrate proactive safety intervention
* Provide oversight on the LQC and Ancillaries Contractor(s) EIT fabrication and construction activities. Report schedule progress.
* Review and approve the LQC and Ancillaries Contractor(s) EIT installation and construction procedures for conformance to specification and good practice
* Inspect procured materials for conformance to specifications
* Conduct in-process reviews of EIT installation
* Liaise with the Certifying Authority on-site Representative
* Verify quality of the electrical and instrumentation installation. Witness testing. Verify the quality of the completed work and sign off MCCRs
* Proactively solve issues and develop work-arounds with the LQC and Ancillaries Contractor(s) during fabrication and construction
* Review LQC and Ancillaries Contractor(s) red-line mark-ups of AFC drawings
* Assist Cost Specialist in assessing LQC and Ancillaries Contractor(s) change requests

MUST HAVE Qualifications:
* 15 years of experience in the installation of EIT and oversight of contractors
* Demonstrated awareness and proactive approach to EHS
* Extensive experience and understanding of project execution practices, including engineering, fabrication, and construction
* Permit to Work Training
* Construction Safety Training including CSE, Working at Heights, Energy Isolation, and SIMOPS

Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer
A great opportunity to work with a large mining company in Calgary. This is a contract position but strong possibility of extension. Looking for candidates with experience in the following:

  • Experience with mine waste and tailings design; understanding of soil mechanics and rock mechanics;
  • slope stability analysis; seepage analysis; design of large scale construction features for mining sites (tailings dam and containment structures; roads and pipelines; waste storage; ore stockpiles; instrumentation; reclamation);
  • proficient in engineering softwares; data analysis; communication skills; and report writing ability.



Major Responsibilities

  • Provide geotechnical engineering support to mine waste and tailings management projects
  • Carry out engineering data analyses and design work for projects at stages ranging from scoping to detailed engineering and construction
  • Possibly some travel to mine sites to carry out geotechnical investigations, instrument installation, and construction quality assurance for dams
  • Assist with planning and supervising geotechnical subsurface investigations
  • Assist with writing geotechnical reports and technical communications;
  • Provide support to senior geotechnical engineer / geotechnical manager



Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (geotechnical, civil or a related field)
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA)
  • minimum 5 years of experience (preference given to Oil & Gas [Oil Sands] experience in large civil earthworks construction mining related projects, which include: field construction, performance monitoring, construction quality assurance, inspection and testing)
  • Perform field and environmental investigations for Gas or Oil exploration and construction development projects
  • Proficient in engineering software (Geo-Slope; MineScape; AutoCAD; Microsoft Office)
  • Skilled in data interpretation; analysis and correlation
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a small team setting; and foster effective working relationships with their peers
  • Previous experience in Oil Sands operations will be an asset.

  • Carry out on-site engineering data analyses and determine appropriate actions for follow-up
