Project Engineer - Piping

Project Engineer Piping

The Project Engineer - Piping is responsible for the day to day management, coordination/facilitation and follow up of delegated modifications/projects

Responsibilities

  • Management of projects through the phase's initiation, study, engineering, procurement up to hand over of installation packages to Construction Department. Further: be contact person during installation/construction period (changes/clarifications/ variations etc), commissioning, as-build and close out.
  • Ensure the work is done in accordance with HSE and the Joint Venture procedural and technical requirements
  • Coordinate with Planning and Cost Control to ensure that an integrated cost and scheduling system is implemented, reviewed and followed up for every project.
  • Ensure that all approvals for expenditure have been obtained.
  • Ensure variations are processed and approved according to procedures
  • Assist in development of annual capital budget
  • Initiate and prepare proposals for modifications/projects
  • Monitor monthly performance and project budget.
  • Ensure that appropriate project assurance steps are conducted throughout the project life cycle.
  • Ensure that technical integrity/quality is achieved in accordance with JV targets.
  • Ensure projects are executed in accordance with regulatory compliance.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of project execution process
  • For assigned projects, be the single contact vs the Engineering & Procurement (E&P) Contractor's project engineer and the Construction Team
  • Facilitate communication between E & P contractor, Construction Team and Operations (OPS) technical resources
  • Ensure that the Change Process (MOC) is being followed,
  • Prepare and present projects to the budget owner and/or the OPS Management.
  • Anticipate problems before they become critical.
  • Approve vendor invoices in accordance with Procurement guidelines and authorization.
  • Manage Project Information through Document Control and MOC Procedures.
  • Ensure all engineering (document reviews, bid summaries, queries etc) is issued to the appropriate groups and authorities for comments and approval in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that projects are appropriately closed-out
  • Project engineer reports to the Engineering Team Leader

Education:

Engineering degree in Piping or Mechanical discipline

Experience:

  • The post-holder shall be degree qualified in engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a discipline engineer in the gas / oil industry
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in project engineering and execution
  • A track record in HSE Leadership, commitment and delivery is essential
  • English speaking, knowledge of French would be an advantage.
  • Team player committed to building good working relationships.

Skills:

  • Leadership and commitment to excellence in HSE performance
  • Working Knowledge of the standards, design, construction, operation and maintenance for the systems and equipment used in the industry.
  • Project and operations planning principles and systems

Inspection Engineer

Description of Requirements

Experience

Time: Minimum 10 years within the petrochemical industry with at least 5 years spent inspecting new build and in-line pressure vessels. 5 Years post qualification experience in NDT techniques.

Specifics: Refining & treatment plant operations
Shutdown (TAR) campaigns
Supervision of NDT and inspection crews during TAR outages.
Oil & Gas pipeline fabrication and operation
Plant services and support
PSV operation and inspection in accordance with API guidelines
New build & in-line inspection of pressure containment vessels
Corrosion monitoring of on-line pipelines
Welding Inspection and acceptance
Working with Written Schemes of Examination (WSE)
The implementation of Risk Based Inspection (RBI) systems

Qualifications

Vessels: CSWIP/ASME Plant Inspectors qualification to at least level 1
Certified to UKAS category 2 or its equivalent

NDT: CSWIP Certification Scheme for Weldment Inspection Personnel Level 2 standard or
PCN (Personal Certification Number) Level 2 standard or above for:
Ultrasonic's (Welds 3.1 & 3.2 minimum) plus two of the following three:
MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection) All groups
DPI (Dye Penetrant Inspection) All groups
EC (Eddy Current) All groups
Schemes complying with either EN 473 or ISO 9712 will be considered. eg NORDTEST or APAVE

Skills

Essential: A working knowledge of the following international specifications:
ASME Boiler Code
API 510 & 570 Inspection Codes
PSSR regulations or equivalent
TEMA construction code and EN 10204 certification standards
Computer literacy using Microsoft or similar data base applications
Accurate inspection reporting skills using industry accepted acronyms

Desirable: Advanced inspection techniques such as TOFD (Time Of Flight Defraction) and corrosion monitoring
IRIS (Internal Rotating Inspection System)
Inspection of Wellhead flow systems such as Xmas trees etc'
Paint and coating inspection to recognised standards ie ICorr or BGAS/CSWIP

Useful: Good communication skills in multi language work environment
Knowledge of the French language
The ability to lead a team of technicians during TAR's within tight deadlines
The ability to liaise with both company and vendor when required

Petroplan are supporting a major Oil and Gas Operator in the search for a candidate to take up the role of Senior Controls and Instrumentation Engineer.

Day to day you will be supporting the rotating equipment maintenance team's objective in ensuring the reliability and availability of the critical rotating equipment fleet. Which includes GE LM2500's, Siemens RB211's, Solar Centaur 40's and Siemens SGT100'S, driving gas compressors and generators.

Analyse maintenance records to determine control and instrument failure rates, availability / reliability calculations, bad actor / failure modes identification, and program effectiveness / cost analysis

Candidate Desirables

  • Bachelor's degree from recognized university in Electrical, Automation, or Control and Instrumentation Engineering or demonstrate enough experience, capabilities and knowledge for the role if only technical diploma is held (Minimum 10 years' experience working in oil and gas or Energy Industry)
  • Must have strong background with LM2500's Gas Turbine controls, and CCC compressor controls
  • Must have strong background in Gas Turbine power generation controls

Overview

The Security Risk and Compliance Analyst provides technical direction for the risk management and compliance functions within the Information Security team. This person will conduct activities ranging from policy, auditing, and risk analysis to overall risk mitigation. This individual will also build, develop, and maintain relationships with our internal stakeholders and external vendors to help mature and enhance our enterprise-wide compliance with security.

You will support security risk assessments, implementations and operations of security technologies and software tools especially in area of data loss prevention and/or identity and access management. The successful candidate will also help to develop operational processes for identity or data loss lifecycle management and document assessment results.

Position Duties:

  • Responsible for all activities within the security compliance and risk management lifecycle. These activities include: risk analysis, auditing, mitigation, and governance & policy.
  • Develop, update, and monitor compliance with information security policies designed to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data.
  • Manage periodic independent security audits, i.e. ISO27001, ISO 9001, SSAE18
  • Manage internal and client information security audits
  • Technical risk and compliance assessment support
  • Support design and implementation of data loss and / or identity management systems
  • Support of operational activities e.g. operational review and analysis of access requests and/or data leakages to ensure compliance,
  • Oversee periodic penetration tests and triage remediation for vulnerabilities identified
  • Leads efforts in developing/improving process, procedures, and documentation for all aspects of security
  • Work closely with key process owners to implement the agreed remediation actions
  • Identify and recommend gaps and improvements to business processes
  • Lead workshops with Process and Control Owners
  • Perform control testing and agree results with control owners
  • Work closely with key process owners to implement the agreed remediation actions
  • Oversee Security Service projects to ensure products are developed in compliance with security standards and practices

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience: 5 years of IT administration and Security engineering experience
  • Relevant security knowledge and experience in two or more of the following areas: Audit, compliance, risk management & GRC tools
  • Firm understanding of networking basics, including TCP/IP, FW, Domains, Active Directory Management
  • Windows System administration
  • Working knowledge of at least one scripting language (Python and Shell preferred)
  • Good understanding of security concepts, such as system hardening and vulnerability management and remediation
  • Experience maintaining critical and high visibility services for stakeholders
  • Policy configuration and implementation for networking and endpoint security controls
  • Demonstrated experience helping an organization successfully complete independent compliance audits under SOX, etc.
  • Well-versed in recognized security industry standards and leading practices, i.e. ISO, PCI, NIST, CIS, FedRamp,
  • Advanced knowledge of network protocols and operating systems (Windows, Unix, Linux, Databases)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
  • CISSP or security-related certification is preferred
