Trade Finance Analyst

Our client is looking for a Trade Finance Analyst to join the Credit Team. The main focus of the Trade Finance Analyst will be to ensure operational respsonsibility regarding group wide payment instruments on a cost and process efficient basis in an independent manner.

The Credit Team has a centralized position within the company and due to the departure of one of our valued colleagues, requires a new enthusiastic colleague who is eager to further develop the activitites within the organization.

You will be joining a team of five members (including the vacancy), with the main goal of building a zero loss track record.

The total group portfolio managed by the team includes 5000 customers with a continuous outstanding of USD 750M. One of the main objectives is to position ourselves as a partner of our commercial business, by adding value in terms of risk analysis and cash flow optimizations.

As the Trade Finance Analyst you will be responsible for the the operational Trade Finance management activities. You will align processes within the group, negotiate finance instruments with banks and trade finance instruments with counterparties. You will advise on credit risk on counterparty level.

You discuss credit risk on counterparty level. You monitor the Trade Finance Costs levels and analyse the P&L. You will participate in projects and initiate improvements.

The team has a strong focus on improving processes in terms of efficiency and effectiveness, a similar mindset is expected from you.

In order to comply with the content of the job the ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, is able to take decisions and communicate them combined with a financial focus to support this.

You will report directly to the Group Credit Manager and will be part of the larger Credit and Treasury department which consists of five colleagues in the Netherlands and five colleagues in Switzerland.

Experience required

  • The successful candidate has:
    • 2 years' experience in the oil industry with trade finance affinity
    • Graduated studies with a Master's degree preferably in Science.
    • Affinity with financial analysis and Commodity Trade Finance
    • A post-master with specialization on Trade Finance is considered an advantage
    • Excellent command of Dutch and English language, both written and verbally.

Embedded Software Engineer

Position

As an embedded software engineer, you will be responsible for the development process, source control, versioning and release management. You will be working in close cooperation with the electronics engineers. Due to the nature of the products, you are equally comfortable coding in C and C with extensive knowledge of Linux and RTOS. A good knowledge of electronic hardware is essential for this position.

In this position you will get the opportunity to integrate and test your software together with the complete installation. This requires you to occasionally travel abroad to join offshore fieldwork.

Position requirements:

  • Bsc or MSc in electronics or computer science;
  • Demonstrated experience with C and C ;
  • Experience with cross compiling and remote debugging under Linux;
  • Knowledge of microcontroller architectures;
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as Ethernet, CAN, I2C
  • Knowledge of electronics development;
  • A medical examination for offshore work may be part of the selection procedure for this job.
