Experience & Skills
Minimum 12 years relevant post graduate experience of mechanical equipment operation, inspection , maintenance and certification with minimum 8 years in Oil and Gas and Petrochemical related industries with emphasis on lifting equipment and gas cylinder operation, maintenance, inspection and certification aspects with at least 5 years in a similar responsible position. In depth knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards for inspection, testing and certification of LE.
Education
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with Chartered Engineering status or equivalent.- Certification by Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) 'LEEA Part-1 (LEEA) Foundation Course (FOU) and any other Part or equivalent would be an added advantage.

* Membership of a recognized professional engineering or HSE association/ institution is required.
* Minimum of 12 years experience in HSE management functions and exposure on construction safety for major Infrastructure and/or oil & gas projects of which at least last 5 years in similar HSE senior position for projects in reputable oil & gas Companies or EPIC Contractors.

* Proficient in the use of the English language (both written & spoken).

Petroplan are currently accepting applications for high caliber Geophysicists. Our client is a large Oil & Gas operator that are looking to add a Senior Geophysicist to their Onshore Development Team. The role is a permanent position based in Qatar.

The Senior Geophysicist will be able to oversee and carryout the collection, analysis and evaluation of geophysical data to generate field development plans. They will also be able to provide mentoring and coaching to other members of staff and review technical work carried out by Geophysicists.

High Preference will be given to candidates with development experience in a carbonate reservoir setting.

Candidate Requirements

  • 15 years work experience with at least 10 years in Geophysical studies.
  • BSc in Geophysics or Geology is required
  • Experience in Carbonate reservoirs
  • Strong structural interpretation and integrated quantitative interpretation (QI) capabilities
  • Up to date geophysical software expertise
  • Experience in statistical and pattern recognition (Neural networks, fuzzy logic, and multivariate analysis)
  • Must have experience mentoring and coaching junior members of staff.

Responsible for planning, preparation, management, cost control and reporting for the 5 Years Operating and Capital Budget of the HSE & Business Services department (VB). Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Budget & Cost Control at VB. Experience & Skills

Responsibilities of the role may include carrying out geological and geophysical activities, undertaking geological studies, and analysing and evaluating subsurface data to establish suitable geological models.

Candidate Requirements

  • 15 years' experience as a Geologist.
  • BSc in Geology or Geophysics, MSc preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of Geophysics, seismic and well log interpretation, well completion and workover activities.
  • Carbonate Reservoir experience is ESSENTIAL.
  • Experience working on mature producing fields where the integration of production data has been used to constrain their maps and interpretations and uncertainty management

  • Expertise in geomodelling software such as Petrel and IRAP/RMS.
