Pipeline Engineer

We are looking for a pipeline engineer to work with a major operator on an ultra-deep water project

The project is currently based out of the EPCI contractor's office

The pipeline engineer will report to the Pipeline Engineering Team Leader and be a member of the Subsea Engineering team.

The pipeline engineer will be responsible for the review and overview of the Pipeline and Spool Engineering carried out by the EPCI contractor.

The pipeline engineer will be covering both in place and installation analysis.

The engineer will work in close collaboration with the Contractor's pipeline team to deliver a safe and robust design.

Key accountabilities

  • Responsible for delivery of the engineering of the detailed design pipeline scope to meet project schedule and delivering a safe, competitive and cost-effective pipeline system
  • Provide technical expertise for technical aspects of the pipeline and spool scope.
  • Support performance management of the Pre-FEED Contractor.
  • Support the Pipeline Engineering Team Lead in overall delivery of the Pipeline and spool system.
  • Interface with other engineering teams to ensure an integrated Design.
  • Up to 10% travel

Essential experience and job requirements

  • Must have deep experience / expertise of subsea pipeline engineering
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Engineering or the equivalent
  • Must have experience of supervising work in a Contractor's Design Office
  • Must have experience in design project delivery.
  • Must have strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
  • Must have strong planning and organizing ability

Desirable criteria & qualifications

  • Chartership or Professional Engineering Status
  • Experience in interacting with international teams

Contract Specialist

The Contract Specialist will be required to work with the technical and functional specialists to draft standard contract templates where the clients are providing services to its clients, including developing contract structures and conditions of contract for use across wide range of service lines.


The Contract Specialist will also participate in the risk review process preparing the risk review documentation in conjunction with the bid team sponsors and bid team leaders.


They will attend the risk review meetings to provide senior management with an overview of the contract structure, risks and proposed mitigations.


The successful applicant will have a Law degree and experience in a similar role viewing, negotiating and drafting client contracts.


Must have knowledge and experience of contract terms in drilling/well management, platform operations and maintenance.


The successful candidate should have the ability to work independently and have excellent communication and presentation skills, they should have the ability to work under own initiative and meet tight deadlines and have good negotiations skills.

Purpose of the job:

  • Provide technical and administrative support to the Well Delivery function

Responsibilities / key objectives:

  • Attend and facilitate the Department Meetings
  • Focal point for all reporting (weekly, monthly etc.) in Well Delivery. Develop and produce Report Template with operations review and performance Statistics. Custodian of KPI sheet.
  • Liaise with the Supply Chain and Project Controls internally to meet reporting requirements.
  • Coordination and arranging meetings internally and externally.
  • Morning call video conference set up and liaising with IT on issues related to this, as required.
  • Administration of travel requests. Approved travel booker, adhering to travel policy and process.
  • Coordinate and issue the drilling duty rota and contact lists.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the new starter induction process and manage any staff departures
  • Facilitate requirements for, and renewals of, subscriptions and licences.
  • Produce ad-hoc reports, presentations and documents as required and assist with preparation of PowerPoint/Excel/Word Documents and manage the sign off process
  • Support well engineers in document management creation and control
  • Ensure all well handover documents are correctly compiled, verified, distributed and archived.
  • Maintain an up-to-date competence and training matrix for all engineers incl. IWCF
  • Lead the creation of a Well Engineering intranet page
  • Manage Well Delivery Dispensation process - Record, Store and Monitor Dispensations until Close in liaison with Chief Well engineer
  • Assist the Well Engineers with following up and closing actions of all action registers: Non Conformance Report register, Corrective Action Register, Lessons Learned Register
  • Other general administrative support for the functional team and project teams e.g. submitting expenses, management whereabouts, updating contact lists and organograms, maintaining stationery supplies, SAP support
  • In addition, provide other general TA / PA support to Group Drilling Function, where required.

Education / Qualifications:

  • A technical, business, engineering or IT qualification would be desirable

Specific skills / experience:

  • Software savvy essential
  • High computer literacy is a must (Microsoft Office suite as a minimum)

*Role Synopsis (NTID & Candidate details for facilitated moves) Senior Project Engineer - Umbilicals & Flexibles responsible for the specification, design, delivery, maintenance and operational support of subsea production systems (SPS) and is the single face to the subsea equipment suppliers.

A key member of the subsea projects team and plays an important role in developing and delivering cost effective subsea projects. The Umbilicals and Flexibles team is growing to deliver hardware and services for the ongoing Projects across all regions.

The role will hold ultimate responsibility for the delivery (specification, design, procurement, verification, manufacturing, validation) of all umbilicals and flexibles hardware and services for specified Projects. The role will ensure the deliveries are in line with HSSE requirements and quality standards and within project schedule and cost objectives.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide discipline engineering support for umbilical and flexible deliveries and interfaces with umbilicals and flexibles suppliers for specified Projects.
  • Integration and management of interfaces between the umbilicals and flexibles suppliers and project system engineering (EPMS), connection system supplier (SPS), installation contractor (EPIC), logistics contractor and Services team.
  • Demonstrate good safe work practices and be proactive in ensuring safe practices at all times including a strong influence role with suppliers.
  • Identify Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) risks and communicate as appropriate
  • Working with internal staff, manage the supplier selection and award process for umbilicals and flexibles ensuring best value is achieved and contract is placed to meet project schedule requirements.
  • Support tender clarification/evaluation and contractor/vendor selection, ensuring all activities are in accordance with Code of Conduct.
  • Review, comment, and approve design documentation, quality plans and other procedures as appropriate.
  • Build strong working relationships with the key suppliers.
  • Identify and manage key engineering and delivery risks and provide input to project risk management and mitigation action plans.
  • Manage the interfaces between key stakeholders, including engineering contractors, installation contractors and suppliers.
  • Read, understand, implement, and reinforce use of Company's Management of Change process and manage any changes to the scope rigorously and in compliance with the project MOC process.
  • Assist in the performance of all project assurance activities, including the management of Design Verification Plans.
  • Support the collection and reporting of key performance data for umbilicals and flexibles product designs, manufacture and installation.
  • Working with the quality team, responsible for ensuring an appropriate verification plan is established for the deliveries to provide confidence in the product quality.
  • Part of a Global engineering and delivery team, sharing lessons and collaborating across Projects.

Essential Education

  • Bachelors' Degree or higher qualification in an Engineering discipline.
  • Chartered or Professional Engineer

Essential Experience and Job Requirements

  • Technical expertise with umbilicals / flexible pipes
  • Track record and experience with SPS/SURF
  • Track record of package delivery and/or supplier's management
  • Track record of managing people / teams located or remote
  • Knowledge of good engineering practice
  • Familiarity with codes and standards for umbilicals (API 17E) and Flexibles (API 17J)
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of good engineering practice

Desirable Criteria: .

  • Offshore or manufacturing site experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certified.

Job scope (budget, management, specific criteria):

As part of a product development team working to Agile principles, the product designer will be responsible for translating user requirements into functioning applications. Value proposition techniques will be used to develop solutions and prioritise functionality in line with the business drivers. Experience in successful user mapping journeys, sitemaps and navigation will be needed when presenting wireframes and interaction concepts. Ideas and designs will be presented for feedback within the team to developers, product managers and stakeholders so an ability to communicate well between these disciplines is imperative.

Within this role strong knowledge of user research methodologies are essential in ensuring the best and most powerful designs decisions are made. In addition the ability to carry out user testing, piloting and demonstration of the business case will be an aspect of the role.

Minimum Experience:

Job Title: Junior Payable Accountant

Reports to: Chief Accountant

Purpose

To record financial information in order to enable preparation of financial statements and all financial accounts in accordance with accounting principles and civil, fiscal and company norms. To identify assets and liabilities in line with the administrative/fiscal/statutory requirements thereby ensuring proper handling of accounts for nature and destination.

Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information
  • Prepare journal entries and synthesise common ledger for subsidiary accounts
  • Develop good knowledge of chart of accounts and ensure adherence thereto while recording financial information.
  • Send request for and determine appropriateness and correctness of accruals in the books for each month end reporting including half year and annual reporting
  • Perform all regular accounting processes such as A/P and Journal Entries plus monthly closure of books & accounts.
  • Document financial transactions by entering account information.
  • Recommend financial actions by analysing accounting options.
  • Prepare vendor and GL account reconciliations on monthly basis including Intercompany account management and reconciliation
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information
  • Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents
  • Maintain accounting controls by ensuring adherence to policies and procedures and recommending improvements thereto
  • Maintain financial security by following internal controls
  • Check documents by monitoring and implementing all accounts payable checks including but not limited to contractual compliance checks in relation to approved contract values, tariffs, fees etc. for onward payment by Treasury function
  • Post vendor invoices and ensure correctness of invoice register
  • Monitor aging of overdue invoices
  • Ensure that all invoices and staff reimbursements are paid accurately and in accordance with Finance policies and procedures
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing account information and trends
  • Perform personnel accounting including but not limited to salaries posting, expense reports, expatriate insurance etc
  • Protect operations by keeping financial information confidential
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Contribute to team effort by performing assigned tasks and accomplishing related results as needed
  • Provide support during audit activities

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Admin. Professional / Master's Degree is preferred
  • 2-3 years of General accounting experience in a medium sized organization preferably a multinational

Required Competencies

  • Basic Knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS) and practices.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP system and Hyperion.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Strong Analytical & Organizational Skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
