On behalf of our client we are looking for an experienced Data Modeler. The role involves the enhancement of data migration across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities include;


Understand and translate business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions.
Work with the Application Development team to implement data strategies, build data flows and develop conceptual data models.
Create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy. - Optimize and update logical and physical data models to support new and existing projects.
Maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models along with corresponding metadata.
Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models.
Recommend opportunities for reuse of data models in new environments.
Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL scripts.
Evaluate data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies.
Validate business data objects for accuracy and completeness.
Analyze data-related system integration challenges and propose appropriate solutions.
Develop data models according to company standards.
Guide System Analysts, Engineers, Programmers and others on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
Review modifications to existing software to improve efficiency and performance.
Examine new application design and recommend corrections if required.

Senior Project Engineer (LNG)

Petroplan is currently looking for a group of Senior Project Engineers to join the Engineering and Construction team of one of our clients (a major oil and gas development group) based in Houston TX.


Ideal candidates will have a 10-year background in major downstream/gas processing/LNG liquefaction projects and will have actively contributed to project execution phases. Experience in coordinating/driving the efforts of multi-discipline project teams is a major requirement of the role and exposure to working alongside/for operating companies is highly preferable.

Responsibilities include:

  • Main interface between technical engineering, construction, and operations teams
  • Drives technical adherence to regulatory process
  • Major contributor to the development of crucial EPC documents, plans, schedules, and procedures
  • Ensures project deliverables are produced against overall project management plan
  • Main link between technical/engineering and project controls (scheduling/cost estimating etc.) teams
  • Key problem-solver for major technical issues utilizing EPC feedback loops
  • Client-side representative leading interaction with EPC group

Requirements:

  • Professional Engineering License (preferred)
  • BSc Engineering (required)
  • MSc Engineering (preferred)
  • Thorough grasp of EPC engineering lifecycle/phases
  • Understanding of core project management practices (PMP preferred)

Embedded Electrical Engineer

They are seeking a high caliber embedded engineer to come on board to be an individual contributor and ultimately move into a managing role. Please see below for responsibilities and requirements.

  • Lead firmware design, development, sustaining and maintenance efforts for various projects
  • Collaborate with Hardware and Software engineers throughout project, from concept to integration and delivery
  • Assist with electrical designs of drivers and controllers
  • Daily use of applied mathematics (i.e. simulation, control theory, etc.)
  • Mentor junior engineers
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Degreed professional in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
  • 2 plus years of embedded firmware/software experience
  • Experience programming in C/C and Python
  • Experience with microcontrollers, such as TI, PIC, etc.
  • Experience with RTOS would be a plus
  • Experience with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) would be a plus
  • This role would be an office-based role in Houston, TX
