Process Control Engineer

Primary Purpose:
The Process Control Engineer is responsible for providing engineering expertise in order to maximize the plant production, efficiency, safety and reliability. Provide timely and pro-active process control services related to the LNG complex, including control and safeguarding performance, monitoring and testing and process optimizations.
This position is located in Hackberry, Louisiana. Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) is required.
Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Front line panel operator problem diagnosis and resolution
  • Coordinate/facilitate process control and safeguarding studies as required for minor capital projects and plant changes (MOCs).
  • Promote and drive changes that contribute to increased plant reliability, efficiency and increased production
  • Support implementation and maintenance of higher technologies in the plant; such as advanced process control, compressor controls, operator training simulator, operational data system
  • Leads and/or participates in incident investigations as a subject matter expert. Uses RCA type investigative tools to determine real causes of incidents. Defines effective actions in order to prevent recurrence.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Experience:

  • Minimum of ten years plant engineering experience in LNG terminal and/or petrochemical/gas; Experience in LNG liquefaction facilities highly preferred.
  • Broad experience with DCS controls, safeguarding systems, PLCs.
  • High level of HSSE knowledge.

  • Expertise in base layer DCS control, safeguarding systems.
  • Knowledge of advanced process controls, compressor anti-surge control systems.
  • Ability to effectively influence and motivate.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, run, sit, kneel, twist, bend, pull, push, carry, lift, reach overhead and drive. Most activities involve movement of either the upper and lower body extremities or both and the joints associated with these areas of the body.
  • Must be able to enter confined spaces.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders that ranges from 4 ft to 200 ft.
  • Must be able to lift equipment needed to perform work.
  • Must be able to wear safety equipment such as safety harness, respirator and other protective equipment as needed to perform job.
  • Must be willing to be on call, work overtime as required and handle emergency response responsibilities.
  • Must be willing to travel for trainings as required.

QA Engineer

Petroplan Holdings is recruiting for the role of QA Engineer, to work within the Contracts & Procurement Department of a major Oil and Gas operator, based in the UK.
Reporting to the Quality Assurance & Asset Integrity Manager, the Quality Assurance Engineer is primarily responsible for supporting the C&P Team during procurement activities through Quality Control Coordination and deployment of Third-Party Inspectors (TPIs) to supplier/ manufacturer facilities in line with Review/ Witness/Hold points as per Purchas Order requirements and/or approved Inspection & Test Plans ITPs.

The QA Engineer shall:

  • Ensure supplier quality plans and associated normative QA vendor documents meet project specifications requirements;
  • Assist review of supplier quality plans, ITPs, material certificates, NDE and test procedures as well as test results/records
  • Coordinate Nominated Inspection Body (NIB) and deployment of TPIs in accordance with ITPs and manufacturing schedules;
  • Generate Call-Off Requests and Work Orders for NIBs for the provision of inspectors in line with the associated AFEs and project scope;
  • Ensure surveillance inspection is planned, arranged and conducted for critical steps in the manufacturing, test, assembly and service provision (where surveillance is required) including:
  • Review TPI inspection reports and inspection release notes and liaise with Discipline Engineer/Project Manager to share reports
  • Review Criticality Assessments, Deviation Requests and Concession Requests, in conjunction with the Discipline Engineer;
  • Advising or giving opinion to the Discipline Engineer on whether exceptions, deviations and concessions should be accepted or rejected;
  • Assisting in the measurement of supplier performance;
  • Review and approval of NI B time sheets;
  • Verify vendor compliance with industry standards API, ASME, ISO, NACE, DS1 & DS2
  • Identify opportunities to deliver continuous improvement in Procurement quality, including process efficiency.

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspection of first article, in-process and finished goods with emphasis on precision machined parts to customer quality standards and dimensional control.


Quality Control Inspector

  • Dimensionally inspect machined parts using a variety of measuring and gauging instruments such as; Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T), FARO Arm, CMM
  • Performs incoming material inspection according to establishing standards
  • Performs First Article, in-process and final inspection to ensure customer quality
    standards are met
  • Maintains inspection records of inspection data and NCR's
  • Final inspection reports, outside service tags and final inspection approval documents
  • Maintains equipment in a clean manner and ensures that all equipment is stored properly such that it will be protected from damage when not in use
  • Working with Engineering Department, help identify and update drawings as needed.
  • Occasional travel is required to local third party vendors for on-site inspections and audits

QC Inspector Required Qualifications

  • 3 years' experience with GD&T, FARO ARM, and CMM inspections
  • Must be knowledgeable in the use of QC instruments and gages
  • Must be knowledgeable in GD&T
  • Must be able to work overtime when required
  • Knowledge of ISO standards a plus

The Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for monitoring, developing, and improving manufacturing processes and equipment to support the strategic direction of the company.   • Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment
