Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process, all purchase (Stock and Expense) POs and NON PO invoices for vouchering into JDE and other ERP systems.
  • Perform misc. clerical duties such as but not limited to: Answering multiline phone system, maintaining files of open and closed POs, and maintain working excel document, heavy data entry, other accounting duties assigned by manager.

Requirements:

  • 2 years Clerical and Accounting Assistance (Accounts Payable)
  • Preference: 5 years Clerical and Accounting Assistance (Accounts Payable)
  • Demonstrated ability to: Work Well under pressure and in a team atmosphere
  • General knowledge of: Microsoft Word, Excel, and business applications (JDE)

Responsibilities:

When cash is unidentified, specialist need to complete the following the steps below:

  • In get paid, Check the account for outstanding invoice(s) and see if the amounts match.
  • Email the credit analyst to research with the customer for explanation on cc their managers.
  • Clear (post) the bank lockboxes, wires, intercompany and credit cards daily.
  • Work and clear the team email folder daily.
  • Develop knowledge of various ERP Systems.
  • Develop working relationships with business units and the various groups within company to endure accurate and relevant data is shared.
  • Assist with identification and preparation of documentation for adjustments and write offs.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 2 years prior or related experience is preferred.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of cash application process
  • Demonstrated exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong PC skills including Excel, Word and Powerpoint.

Required:

  • Must have recent & strong AR experience
  • Accounts Receivable credit and debit memos experience
  • Processing credit and rebilled invoices.
  • Account Reconciliation AR and Cash.
  • RMA Return Merchandise Processing experience.
  • Aging management
  • Solid Excel skills

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for mailing, filing and copying invoices consistent with company generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Researching and solving invoicing and/or payment discrepancies.
  • May perform backup duties for accounts payables.
  • Maintain customer files and tax exempt data.
  • Post accounts receivable payments to appropriate databases.
  • May be required to answer phones or periodically provide back-up to a receptionist.
  • May purchase general office supplies for facility personnel.
  • Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job.
  • Within the scope of the job requirements, will be required to adhere and comply with state and federal law, the Company ISO Quality Program and procedures, Company policies and Safety and Environmental Regulations.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum of one (1) or more years bookkeeping or general accounting experience.
  • Must be computer literate, to include but not limited to, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong customer service skills in managing difficult client, vendor or customer situations by responding promptly to requests. Additionally should solicit client, vendor or customer feedback to improve service and response.
  • Strong problem solving skills to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills. Individual should prioritize and plan work activities efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must be adaptable to changes in the work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
  • Must be able to take and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding and subtracting for the purposes of reconciling invoices and other accounting practices as it pertains to the job.

Senior Accountant Job Description:

  • This individual is responsible for various duties, such as: performing complex account reconciliations, preparing journal entries and monthly consolidations.
  • Responsible for the overall analysis of financial results including variance explanations.
  • The overall understanding of internal controls, SOX compliance and and GAAP reporting.

Senior Accountant Job Requirements:

Production Accountant Job Description:

  • Prepare and review daily and monthly production reports and allocations.
  • Manage mid-month and month-end production accounting close to ensure accuracy of data for all production (Operated properties)
  • Analyze daily production data and run queries and reports which assist in reconciling errors and monitoring daily production changes.

Job Title: Junior Payable Accountant

Reports to: Chief Accountant

Purpose

To record financial information in order to enable preparation of financial statements and all financial accounts in accordance with accounting principles and civil, fiscal and company norms. To identify assets and liabilities in line with the administrative/fiscal/statutory requirements thereby ensuring proper handling of accounts for nature and destination.

Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analysing account information
  • Prepare journal entries and synthesise common ledger for subsidiary accounts
  • Develop good knowledge of chart of accounts and ensure adherence thereto while recording financial information.
  • Send request for and determine appropriateness and correctness of accruals in the books for each month end reporting including half year and annual reporting
  • Perform all regular accounting processes such as A/P and Journal Entries plus monthly closure of books & accounts.
  • Document financial transactions by entering account information.
  • Recommend financial actions by analysing accounting options.
  • Prepare vendor and GL account reconciliations on monthly basis including Intercompany account management and reconciliation
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information
  • Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents
  • Maintain accounting controls by ensuring adherence to policies and procedures and recommending improvements thereto
  • Maintain financial security by following internal controls
  • Check documents by monitoring and implementing all accounts payable checks including but not limited to contractual compliance checks in relation to approved contract values, tariffs, fees etc. for onward payment by Treasury function
  • Post vendor invoices and ensure correctness of invoice register
  • Monitor aging of overdue invoices
  • Ensure that all invoices and staff reimbursements are paid accurately and in accordance with Finance policies and procedures
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing account information and trends
  • Perform personnel accounting including but not limited to salaries posting, expense reports, expatriate insurance etc
  • Protect operations by keeping financial information confidential
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Contribute to team effort by performing assigned tasks and accomplishing related results as needed
  • Provide support during audit activities

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Admin. Professional / Master's Degree is preferred
  • 2-3 years of General accounting experience in a medium sized organization preferably a multinational

Required Competencies

  • Basic Knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS) and practices.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP system and Hyperion.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Strong Analytical & Organizational Skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills (communication, persuasion, motivation, and loyalty).
