Financial Reporting Analyst
Location: Houston, TX

Our client is a publicly held midstream operator, who is looking to expand their close tight-knit Financial Reporting team by bringing on a Financial Reporting Analyst.

Financial Reporting Analyst Job Description:

  • This individual is responsible for various duties, such as: Financial Reporting/SEC Filing Preparation, executing and following appropriate accounting principles, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, GAAP, FERC and other applicable regulatory policies and standards, and the analysis of current processes to develop and implement improved efficiencies and analytics as deemed necessary.
  • Responsible for obtaining, reviewing and compiling support for financial information within the periodic SEC filings and private-company reports.
  • Performing monthly reporting and accounting close duties for reporting function. Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for senior/lead accountants, accounting managers and other departments as necessary

Financial Reporting Analyst Job Requirements:

  • Must have a Bachelors' Degree in either Accounting or a business related function
  • Must have previous Public Accounting experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have between 1-3 years of experience.
  • CPA strongly preferred

Our client is a privately held operator, who is looking to expand their in house Accounting functions by bringing on an Accounting Manager.

Accounting Manager Job Description:

  • This individual is responsible for various duties, such as: revenue accounting, financial reporting and being the go to person in the office for any Accounting questions.
  • Responsible for quarterly reporting & booking revenue for their assets in South Texas and Louisiana.
  • Responsible for general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations and the monthly close process.

Accounting Manager Job Requirements:

  • Must have a Bachelors' Degree in either Accounting or a business related function
  • Must have upstream experience in both Revenue Accounting and Financial Reporting
  • Experience with OGSYS is must have for this position
  • CPA strongly preferred

Corporate Tax Manager
Location: Houston, TX

Our client, a high growth Public Accounting firm, is looking to add to their oustanding Tax Management team by bringing on a Corporate Tax Manager.

Corporate Tax Manager Job Description:

  • Manage list of clients to ensure all compliance deadlines
  • Prepare and review current and deferred tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740
  • Review tax returns of varying complexities
  • Assign and supervise staff in the preparation of these returns.
  • Prepare and/or review quarterly and year-end estimates to assist clients with tax planning
  • Perform diversified tax assignments under the direction of a principal, director, or partner
  • Demonstrate competency in technical skills, work quality and application of professional and firm standards
  • Meet time constraints and client deadlines
  • Prepare other reports, projects and duties as may be assigned
  • Possess technical knowledge sufficient to assist staff and senior associates
  • Continue developing the skills necessary to develop quality client relationship and loyalty
  • Participate in firm training courses to further develop technical skills
  • Provide excellent client service by producing quality work, quick turnaround and attentive service
  • Become proficient at tax research including a knowledge of the reference sources available to the firm
  • Suggesting client tax planning ideas to shareholder
  • Ability to make appropriate decisions regarding accounting and tax matters
Corporate Tax Manager Job Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, CPA strongly preferred
  • No less than 5 years of tax return experience with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with tax compliance/provision and review
  • Background in public accounting required; Big 4 or National Firm experience preferred
  • Must have no less than 1 year of supervisory experience
