Lead Accountant Job Description:

  • This individual is responsible for various duties, such as: complex account reconciliations, coordinating financial reporting and consolidations.
  • Responsible for the preparation of journal entries.
  • Experience with ASC 842 lease implementation is a huge plus.

Lead Accountant Job Requirements:

  • Must have a Bachelors' Degree in either Accounting or Finance
  • Must have no less than 5 years' of relevant experience
  • Must have previous SAP experience, as well as extensive knowledge of US GAAP.

Senior SOX Analyst Job Description:

  • This individual is responsible for various duties, such as: assisting in coordinating quarterly SOX control calls with controllers of each ledger, preparing quarterly control memos for each ledger and assisting in maintaining the SOX risk and control matrices.
  • Responsible for coordinating with business owners and control owners to ensure that internal controls over financial reporting are effectively designed and sufficiently documented within the Company's SOX documentation.
  • Assisting in annual planning of the Company's SOX compliance efforts, including risk assessment, materiality, identification of significant accounts and classes of transactions or processes

Senior SOX Analyst Requirements:

Property Accountant Job Description:

  • Key responsibilities for this position would include: maintain the inventory sub-ledger and reconcile with the joint venture records and partner billings and the preparation of inventory material transfers in accordance with the accounting procedure of the Joint Operating Agreement including issuing credit for sales and transfer of scrap and surplus materials.
  • Assist in the resolution of joint venture audit exceptions involving inventory including preparing journal entries as required
  • Research and resolve operated JIB working interest issues and billing disputes by reviewing prior JIB items and working with Land, Operations, and other departments

Property Accountant Job Requirements:

  • Must have a Bachelors' Degree in Accounting, Finance or a Related Field.

Corporate Tax Manager Job Description:

  • Manage list of clients to ensure all compliance deadlines
  • Prepare and review current and deferred tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740
  • Review tax returns of varying complexities
  • Assign and supervise staff in the preparation of these returns.
  • Prepare and/or review quarterly and year-end estimates to assist clients with tax planning
  • Perform diversified tax assignments under the direction of a principal, director, or partner
  • Demonstrate competency in technical skills, work quality and application of professional and firm standards
  • Meet time constraints and client deadlines
  • Prepare other reports, projects and duties as may be assigned
  • Possess technical knowledge sufficient to assist staff and senior associates

General Overview:

  • At an expert level, leads or assists on accounting related projects and provides expertise in the areas of financial and acquisition accounting, cost management, activity management, process improvement, internal controls, management and financial reporting, and strategic planning.
  • Supports and advises staff, manages projects, helps set goals and direction of department and advises management on impact of new accounting regulations on business operations and reports.
  • This position requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise. Interprets business issues and recommends best practices.
  • Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.
  • Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations. May lead functional teams or projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides financial and managerial accounting assistance to business units (BU's) in support of activities, performance measurement and reporting. Performs detailed technical financial analysis and budget-to-actual analysis on an as needed basis.
  • Analyzes existing processes and identifies opportunities for process improvement based on trends in process performance and a sound understanding of the business process.
  • Develops and reviews financial policies and procedures, including technology and/or business process changes.
  • Designs, produces and reviews financial, managerial and regulatory reports.
  • Researches industry and accounting literature in order to stay abreast of emerging issues. This may include interpreting PUC rules, state and federal legislative bills, and new accounting standards. Communicates impact to executive management. Develops a plan and implements applicable changes by required deadline.
  • Confirms accounting transactions and reports are in compliance with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or Bachelor's degree in business with 24 or more college credit accounting hours including intermediate accounting plus eight or more years' experience in accounting.
  • Must have previous experience with FASB, FERC or GASB standards.
