Chief Fire Officer
Plan and direct the establishment and implementation of a competent fire and rescue emergency response. Develop operational strategies for all areas under the jurisdiction of the designated city, in accordance with National and International Standards.
Conduct effective fire risk management programmes to identify the various hazards and take the necessary measures to ensure the fire department response meets the current and future nees to manage those identified risks.
Ensure that relevant personnel have the requisite competencies and continuously develop and upgrade in line with any change in the business development.

Qualification, knowledge, skills and experience
Degree in technical discipline from an Internationally recognised institution.
Graduate of the institution of Fire Engineers or Equivalent.
Preferably a minimum of 15 years experience in Fire Fighting with 10 years experience at management level preferably in the oil and gas or Petrochemical.
Leadership, management, problem solving, decision making, interpersonal skills, negotiation and organisational influence skills.

Process Safety Management Adviser

Position: Process Safety Management Advisor

Job type: 12-month Contract

Location: Fort St. John

Petroplan is currently working with a major midstream business who require an additional Safety Officer to join their Gas Gathering and Processing operations.

In this position, you will provide technical assistance to field personnel for the implementation Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures. You will be involved with ensuring that all activities are planned, scheduled and executed to achieve the agreed requirements in a safe and efficient manner. Key challenges will include:

  • Provide process safety subject matter expertise (SME), advice and recommendations as part of facilitation, participation in and/or review of process hazard analyses and risk analyses.
  • Support Operations Risk Management Process requirements at the operating area level, including risk identification facilitation, quality review, SME advice, and area risk reviews.
  • Provide advice regarding process safety considerations as part of management of change (MOC) and pre-start-up safety reviews (PSSRs).
  • Lead and participate in process safety related incident investigations.
  • Assess Process Safety Management Program standards and practices for alignment with regulatory, industry, and company requirements.

Qualifications

  • Relevant technical diploma or engineering degree in chemical engineering or safety discipline or related technical field with demonstrable experience in process safety management.
  • 4 or more years of experience in gas processing, pipeline, petrochemical or refining industries including experience working with field operations personnel.
  • Experience facilitating and participating in various forms of process safety analysis using standard techniques (e.g. HAZOP, LOPA, bowtie).

Suitable candidates will be a driven, autonomous, self-motivated safety professional who is passionate and hungry to succeed.

HSE Lead (Marine & Subsea Construction)

Petroplan is actively recruiting for an HSE Lead (Marine & Subsea Construction) to join an operator company based in Azerbaijan. The position is an office-based contract position that will include occasional weekend and/or offshore presence.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field, NEBOSH Diploma/Environmental Management Certificate or equivalent degree/certifications and experience.
  • 15 years in Marine HSE Management with Current knowledge of Industry HSE Regulations and standards required.



Competencies/Skills/Others:

  • Advise HSE Team Lead of HSE issues related to Suppliers and Contractors and ensure HSE requirements and expectations are being met.
  • Act as mentor to Offshore HSE Advisors.
  • Ensure that full compliance with company's HSE procedures and requirements have been implemented and maintained by all associated Contractors and Suppliers.
  • Review Supplier and bid tenders on behalf of the client as requested.
  • Ensure that Contractor Reporting and Recording are compliant with HSE Procedures.
  • Engage in clear, two way communications with employees and contractors on HSE issues.
  • Ensure proactive communications are established and maintained with employees, contractors, and authorities, regarding HSE aspects of the project.
  • Review and prepare HSE Documents, Procedures and review of Risk Assessments.
  • Undertake offshore tours as Company HSE Lead as and when required.
  • Participate in required Safety Meetings, HAZID's Safety Surveys / Inspections / Conferences, Forums and Kick-Off meetings.
  • Ensure that Suppliers and Contractors execute their work in accordance with established Project Procedures.
  • Co-ordinate safety and operational activities with third parties where necessary.
  • Ensure Permit to Work Systems are managed in accordance with company's approved procedures.
  • Ensure that all accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions are investigated and reported, and corrective actions are promptly taken to prevent reoccurrence of the same.

Requirements:
15 years of experience in Quality Assurance Management positions;

Key Accountabilities:
- Develop a small Quality Management organization responsible for assuring adherence to the project Quality Plan
- Develop Quality Objectives for Project
- Develop Project Quality Plan
- Ensure Quality Plan and Objectives in-line with Quality Management System (QMS) and the Integrity Management Standard
- Complete quality management component of Statement of Requirements and Basis of Design
- Ensure implementation of Engineering and Quality Management Guidelines
- Ensure that design and specification requirements are met by Suppliers and Contractors
- Develop quality management organizational planning and recruitment strategy
- Develop Quality Improvement Processes

Candidate Requirements:

  • 5 years' experience in HSE
  • NEBOSH or equivalent certification/ degree
  • Competent in communicating in English, Azeri and Russian language.
  • Previous offshore vessel experience required
