Principal HSE Consultant

Petroplan are looking to recruit a Principal HSE Consultant/Manager to join a London based team on a permanent basis.

Candidates should be enthusiastic, self-motivated and keen to be part of the development of a dynamic and growing business.

As a minimum, candidates must hold a Bachelors (essential) and Masters degree (desirable) in a science related discipline, and have a minimum of 5-6 years relevant HSE consultancy experience in the offshore oil and gas sector.

Ideally candidates who have technical knowledge / experience of one of more of the following is great:

  • HSE Management Systems
  • UKCS permitting and consents management, including knowledge of the UK Oil Portal and BEIS Portal Environmental Tracking System
  • HSE Auditing
  • Offshore experience is desirable, but not essential.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of implementing and maintaining HSE management systems in the oil and gas industry and management of the ISO 14001 certification process
  • Knowledge of UKCS oil and gas regularly framework, industry standards and good international industry practice
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, but also as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organisational, analytical and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail at all times
  • Enthusiasm for mentoring and building knowledge and skills

Project HSE Manager

Petroplan is currently accepting resumes for a Project HSE Manager position, based in Houston.

This role would suit a seasoned HSE professional with a wealth of offshore oil & gas experience and a strong background working for oil and gas operating companies. A well-rounded skillset is key with exposure to all areas of subsea operations including production, design, installation, construction and commissioning.

The responsibilities of this position will include being a Technical Authority for both international and Gulf of Mexico projects so frequent travel to multiple company locations domestically and abroad will be required.

Regulatory Manager

This role will be responsible for managing the company's regulatory department, ensuring the organiztion is compliant with all local, state and federal regulations.

Experience/Qualifications Required

- Previous regulatory management experience at an E&P company
- Horizontal well permitting and completion experience
- 8 years regulatory & compliance experience within the state of Texas
- Exposure to regulatory inspections and company audits
- Bachelors' Degree in relevant field

Senior Technical Safety Engineer

Petroplan are looking to recruit a Senior Technical Safety Engineer to work in Qatar.

This will be based on a 5 day week paying a monthly salary.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Bachelor Degree in an Engineering discipline from an internationally recognized University. In addition, NEBOSH or equivalent certification is required.

Membership of a recognized professional engineering or HSE association/institution is required.

Minimum of 12 years' experience in HSE management functions and exposure on construction safety for major Infrastructure

Familiar with HSE and Environmental regulatory regimes, international safety engineering codes and standards.

Experience in development of project HSE related plans, philosophies and specifications. Relevant skills in HSE Studies, Environmental assessments and Project HSE Risk Registers.

Exposure to Accident/Incident investigation, review and learning from HSE incidents.

Experienced as auditor in key and critical HSE audits, inspections and reviews. Develop and maintain consolidated records, lessons learnt, Root Cause Analysis, etc.

Extensive leadership skills to motivate and organise HSE and Contractor HSE Teams to achieve a high performance level.

Proficient in the use of the English language (both written & spoken).

Work experience in the Arabian Gulf Countries.

OPS HSE Advisor

Petroplan are looking to recruit an excellent OPS HSE Advisor to join a great team on site in Algeria.

This will be based on a 4/4 on a years contract to start ASAP.

Required skills and experience

  1. A Chartered HSE engineer with a minimum 10 years' experience
  2. With at least 8 years' experience in the operation of gas plant as an HSE specialist at a supervisory level.
  3. Degree or above from a recognized university.
  4. Membership of a relevant HSE institute.
  5. Good interpersonal and Self-motivated.
  6. Good communication/organizational/administration skills.
  7. Computer literate.
  8. Strong skills in Office (Especially Excel)
  9. Fluent written/spoken English, French and spoken Arabic is desirable.
  10. Works well in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment.

Safety Supervisor

Position: Safety Superintendent

Job type: Permanent

Location: New Mexico, USA

Petroplan is currently working with a large publicly traded E&P business who require an additional HSE Advisor for their New Mexico asset team.

In this position, you will be responsible for leading a team of advisors, technicians and safety supervisors who are employed within the Permian asset team to push forward and improve safety programmes within the field. Some of the main responsibilities of this position will be:

  • Providing day to day hands on HSE support and leaderships to all departments within the Permian asset teams
  • Analysing Drilling HSE data to identify trends and make recommendations where you feel performance could be improved
  • Implementing training and coaching at the rig site
  • Being heavily involved in actively reviewing all HSE documentation

The ideal candidate will have experience working within Drilling, Completions, Production and well site construction with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Any experience working in New Mexico/Permian assets is preferential.

Suitable candidates will be a driven, autonomous, self-motivated safety professional who is passionate and hungry to succeed.
