PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in product development
  • QA test new version releases
  • Design implementations, assist sales-engineering efforts
  • Support existing customer deployments
  • Troubleshoot complex routing layers and VPNs
  • Provide system-level patches, upgrades, and configurations
  • Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability, ensure capacity planning

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Extensive experience in Linux command line environments, especially Ubuntu
  • Deep understanding of network, routing, and security protocols

  • Ability to design network implementations and architecture. Develop high and low-level diagrams in tools such as Visio

We need someone who can manage the solution and perform application whistelisting. Someone who has previously been involved in Cyberark whitelisting deployment.

Our client are implementing this product as part of a Windows 10 roll out. They are currently installing but haven't done the configuration yet. So the successful candidate should have packaging four rules and exception handling.

Our client is a leading global provider of advanced analytical instruments for laboratories and online process applications in industries such as refinery, petrochemical, biofuels, environmental, marine, offshore, subsea, and pharmaceutical. To provide its customers with cutting edge technology, our client leverages significant R&D resources to support its core technologies, including chromatography, elemental analysis, physical properties, ultrasonic, fluorescence, spectroscopy, and microscopy/video imaging.
The Firmware Engineer designs, creates and maintains software (modules) that will be utilized in a wide range of analytical instruments to determine chemical composition and/or physical properties.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop embedded firmware
  • Maintain and drive firmware for current product portfolio
  • Write code for FW new products and current product portfolio
  • Participate in the technical evaluation of FW contractors required for product development or concept design work
  • Provide technical project management guidance to FW design contractors to ensure project planning is in place to produce production quality code
  • Take a lead role in defining required processes for FW quality control including validation testing
  • Define and implement high performance firmware by leveraging a strong understanding of embedded hardware design
  • Abide by and enforce FW programming standards for required programming languages utilized in the development of their products
  • Work effectively within a cross functional engineering team to design, debug, and support their instrument products


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's/Four Year degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, required
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Self-starter
  • Strong communication skill in English and local national language.


Firmware development skills:

  • Current detailed understanding of embedded system programming
  • C programming experience
  • Signal Filtering
  • UI design
  • Demonstrated capability to create and institute FW design specifications
  • Familiarity with various CPU architectures (ARM, Microchip etc.)
  • Responsible for testing during code design to maintain code quality throughout development
  • Experience in design of communication protocols (TCP/IP, USB etc.) between firmware and external software packages
  • Understanding of best practices in specification analysis, issue tracking and source code control
