HR Data/Process Analyst - Houston, TX

This is your opportunity to join a leading Oil and Gas company as an HR Data Analyst to provide value through various reporting, data analysis and process improvement projects. This is an long-term CONTRACT position, with the potential to go Permanent, that is located in the greater Houston area.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Ensures data in various platforms of HRIS, such as PeopleSoft, is complete and accurate
* Generate reports (ad-hoc) and automate metrics and analysis in dashboard
* Assist with audits, both external and internal
* Look for opportunities to improve current processes and reporting procedures and make recommendations
* Performs other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate will have:

* 4 year degree preferred
* At least 4 years of HR Reporting/Data Analysis experience
* Experience with process generation and design; HR application desired
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Visio; VLookups and Pivot Tables a must
* General knowledge of VBA is a plus
* Experience with HR platforms/systems in a reporting/administrative capacity; Workday would be a plus
* Eligibility to work in US without sponsorship

Major Incident Manager

Job Summary:

The role of the Major Incident Manager will be primarily responsible for the effective day to day running of all high priority incidents within SIAM based ITIL Incident Management framework.

The primary aim is to restore normal service provision/ operations as quickly as practicably possible minimising disruption to the business.

You wil provide governance and oversight of all incidents through to timely resolution, providing effective communication and escalation with vendors and key stakeholders

It is essential you champion high quality Incident and Problem Management practices across our Global Technology, in an effort to ensure effective end to end delivery of our IT services.

This role will be covering UK, India and North American, Operating hours however it will primarily cover US hours. At times you may be required to work as part of a shift team covering weekends

Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

This highly pressurised role will champion quality major incident management best practices across our global IT. Day to day the role will involve:

  • Responsible for driving, managing and coordinating the response to all critical, major and high priority incidents
  • Co-ordinate rapid and effective response to Major Incidents including escalation, follow through, dissemination of workarounds, or resolution advice and closure.
  • Responsible for timely clear, accurate and punctual communications to internal stakeholders and customers (EMAIL and SMS)
  • Carry out monthly trending on ticket volumes to identify improvements and feed into Problem management
  • In conjunction with key vendors, identify and drive continuous service improvement opportunities to enhance Incident Management practices
  • Responsible for chairing and driving major incident management bridges
  • Responsible for effective internal and/or vendor escalation
  • Lead and/or Contribute to effective Post Incident Reviews - Engage teams for PIR activities, produce Post Incident Reports, as well as input to the Change and Problem Management Processes as and when required
  • Single Point of Contact for internal stakeholders for all High Priority Incidents
  • Produce daily and weekly and monthly incident reporting summaries
  • Quality assurance of High Priority Incident tickets within Service Now across all Major Incidents
  • Ensure that post incident reviews are completed and details are smoothly handed to problem management as per established process
  • Ability to work across 24/7 coverage via Out of Hours/On Call rota as required

Product Specialist JOB DESCRIPTION


U.S. 'Product Management' and Technical Liaison for the advanced automation and control software. This involves both technical aspects and marketing efforts.

Software product management for North America including product release and rollout strategy, market feedback, product promotion, marketing campaigns, seminar and conference presentations and high level customer interaction.

Assisting industry leading companies adopt advanced technology, solid implementation practices.

Advocate for the advancement of technology in manufacturing and the convergence of industrial technology with traditional IT technologies.



Essential Functions

  • Provide product trainings to internal sales and technical teams as well as customers.
  • Answer and log support issues that are escalated to your level.
  • Coordinate the escalation and resolution of issues that are directed to the developer level.
  • Assist Sales and Marketing in understanding best practices of applying your product.
  • Assist Marketing in development of the "message" for display at trade shows.
  • Assist Marketing with articles and webinars promoting your product.
  • Assist with staffing at trade shows as available.
  • Assist in launching new products within U.S. market.
  • Collect feedback from the country about products and report to HQ.
  • Be the interface between the local team (technical & sales) and Germany HQ team, as well as our Global Product Specialists team.

Work Environment


This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. However, the position may require visiting customers and could be exposed to the manufacturing areas, manufacturing equipment, industrial equipment, active machinery, and high voltage equipment; which may require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection; and/or require extensive periods of standing.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field from a four year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience, 35 years' experience.
  2. Experience with industrial control systems (PLC, embedded, PC based. etc)
  3. Ability to handle multiple issues, prioritizing and effectively managing team resources.
  4. Ability to lead team efforts in recognizing large scale issues and coordinate efforts with other team members to quickly solve large scale problems.
  5. Knowledge and experience with multiple desktop operating systems (Windows based).
  6. Familiarity with incident or call tracking response system.
  7. Ability to work in a high stress environment while maintaining professionalism.
  8. Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present to customers, companywide, and/or departmental meetings.
  9. An active and valid driver's license with the ability to travel.

We are looking for a skilled, bright, pragmatic and adaptable Junior Developer to join their DevOps group. The role will suit either recent graduates with previous development experience Successful candidates will have a strong academic background and exposure to at least one major commercial programming language and scripting languages such as PowerShell.
Good communication skills are also vital, as the role will involve interacting with a diverse range of people in the organisation. An ability to think "out-of-the-box" and some knowledge or understanding of the commodities business will be an advantage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As a member of the DevOps Kanban team, you will need to contribute to the analysis, review, development and deployment of "IT for IT" solutions
  • Design and develop DevOps applications and solutions that adhere to, and demonstrate best practice and that use a standard and consistent approach

Fintech Developer (Developer SQL and Business Analytics)

Our client is one of the world's leading integrated producers and marketers of several commodities around the world They have worldwide activities in the production, sourcing, processing, refining, transporting, storage, financing and supply of metals and minerals and energy products.
The role will suit a developer who has played a key part in development projects, preferably in commodities or financial services environment. The developer will have significant SQL experience, and will have exposure to the full software development lifecycle. Experience with Business Objects and other analytics tools such as Tableau is also key.
The successful candidate will be a good all-rounder, with a "can-do" attitude and good communication skills. Enthusiasm and an ability to think "out-of-the-box" will be valued as will a focus on quality and teamwork.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delivery of high quality software as part of the FinTech scrum team, with particular focus on datacentric and Business Analytics stories
  • Work closely with IT colleagues and users during the course of delivery to specify, design and develop high quality solutions
  • Contribute to overall architecture development to ensure modernisation of analytics environments by leveraging big data technologies, including integration with existing data and analytics platforms and tools (EDWs, data integration, BI platforms etc)
  • Participate in code reviews and unit testing.
  • Contribution to the development and implementation of software development best practices.



EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years' experience with SQL Development
  • Minimum of one year's experience with Business Objects (including universe design)
  • Experience in working as part of an Agile team an advantage
  • Experience working in a commodities or financial services environment also an advantage


SKILL SETS

  • Excellent SQL knowledge (stored procedures, packages, etc), in particular SQL Server T-SQL/Oracle
  • PL/SQL Programming
