Petroplan is hiring a Transfer Analyst for a major Oil and Gas Company in Houston, TX.
This position requires a self-starter who is able to work independently with good decision making skills while gathering and analyzing complex data from a wide range of sources. The source of data includes but is not limited to leases, contracts, division orders, title opinions, curative and other such related documents.

The position requires someone knowledgeable about the upstream energy business who regularly acquires knowledge of industry practices, trends, regulations, laws, rulings as they pertain to our core business activities. This position requires someone skilled in all facets of ownership including various interaction levels with internal and external business partners.

This person in this role must possess strong analytical skills, computer skills and advanced knowledge about the use of core computer applications along with related applications that support our Project and business effort. The ability to interact with the upstream organization using excellent interpersonal skills, while being aligned to company goals and objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE AND ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
*Responsible for processing a high volume of transfer of interests in SAP while adhering to strict deadlines.
*Responsible for processing a high volume of Business Associate data related to Division Orders in SAP.
*Support and responsiveness to our Finance colleagues by making available ownership to allow for accurate and timely processing of production volumes, production revenue, and joint interest billing.
*Must possess advanced knowledge of formats of various legal descriptions so as to analyze spacing and unit map information and apply that information to our core business processes.
*Responding to phone calls, emails and mail from external and internal customers regarding title issues, inquiries and account questions.

Job Scope

  • Champion safe, and cost-effective preventative and loss management approaches in day-to-day pipeline and plant operations to minimize potential losses and ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate policies, standards, procedures, practices, etc.;

  • Work collaboratively with Operations management and staff to build a strong safety culture;

  • Conduct and/or review hazard assessments for higher-risk activities such as confined space entry and on construction projects. Provide on-site Safety and Emergency Management (SEM) assistance and ensure appropriate controls and resources are in place;

  • Assist in review, development and documentation of field procedures to ensure the clients operational activities meet regulatory and corporate requirements. Provide field reviews and task evaluations to verify procedures are implemented as required;

  • Perform or participate in various internal and/or external audits and reviews, including, but not limited to, ground disturbance, lockout-tagout, Certification of Recognition (COR), emergency management, Canadian Nuclear Safety commission, safety culture, etc.

  • Participate actively in area safety meetings and provide regular presentations on "Key SEM Topics". Follow up on the safety-related items identified at the meetings;

  • Review and assist with incident investigations, reporting and follow up to prevent recurrence;

  • Coordinate updates and development of SEM Standards and Learnings from Incidents;

  • Assist in the review, development and documentation of procedures and task analyses to ensure construction, maintenance and operational activities meet client and regulatory requirements;

  • Work with Project Managers to help establish and execute SEM project inspection requirements and activities. Liaise with third party project Safety inspectors and provide periodic SEM project oversight;

  • Review and assist with incident investigations, reporting and follow up;

  • Serve as the field SEM liaison for internal or external parties requiring field information or activities.



Qualifications
This position requires a background of safety expertise and/or extensive gas plant operations and/or maintenance experience


  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience in Safety related discipline within Gas Plant facilities.

  • Designation or completion of one of the following is an asset:

    • Canadian Registered Safety Professional (Canadian designation);

    • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate(s);

    • Occupational Health and Safety Diploma or Technical Certificates;

  • Strong knowledge of applicable industry safety requirements, standards, policies and procedures including those of OH&S, AER, NEB, OGC and CSA;

The Job

We are working with an oil and gas operator who require a Process Engineer for a long term contact in London. It will be for a minimum of 12 months and will require trips to hardship locations.

Description:

  • Maintain quality to support facility operation
  • Support the cross functional integration of risk assessments
  • Improve process safety activities
  • Participate in process safety incident investigations
  • Familiar with PSM systems, Process Safety Documentation, Facility siting and Safer Design principles Process Safety Engineers at each facility would be responsible for the application of all Process Safety related Specs, Standard, and Procedures. High points include:

1) Technically Skilled/Capabilities to Maintain quality in Risk Assessment, Facilitation, Communication, and Mitigation Plan Development to support the facility operation. Skilled with RAP sheets or Database process for risk capture and tracking.

  • Becomes a single point for training in Risk Skills and brings this directly to the facilities.
  • Supports the prioritization of facility resources in risk reduction activities.
  • Prioritize the Facility Hazard Parking Lot
  • Facilitate HRRs for each facility - create consistency, mentor plant engineers to develop risk assessment facilitation skills, share learnings throughout field in the process
  • Facilitate L2RA's when large production impacts associated - develop consistency, provide calibration for leaders making decisions
  • Develop TOR for more detailed risk assessments
  • Communicate risk assessment results
  • Support mitigation plan development

2) Supports the cross functional integration of risk assessments. For example Pipeline risks are owned by operations, with support from CIC and Resource, with compliance implications. Facility Process Safety Engineer would understand the cross functional relations within risk action plans and ensure critical activities are prioritized and budgeted by operations.

3) Support closure of S&O Audit findings related to Process Safety and Risk.

4) Facilitate the risk register development and communication of risk KPIs. Demonstration of Continuous Risk Reduction. (Yet to truly be developed).

5) Improve the rigor and quality associated with the process safety activities.

6) Imbed Process Safety related lessons learned at the facilities.

7) Provide a point of contact between Engineering TAs and the facilities to implement specs and standards

8) Facilitate PSAs for MOCs with immediate (i.e. weekend) need, or that are bigger than the Fac Engr feels comfortable with, but don't need town support

9) Participate in incident investigations for process safety related incidents - have accountability to formally share learnings in a meaningful way across slope

10) Assist with PSA action item resolution for O&M activities (i.e. dispersion modelling for gas pads risk assessment to allow for temporary derate)

11) Provide assistance for RISc score development for Compose entries to assist with meaningful pre-appraise project description

12) Dedicated support to OSM for prioritization of risk activities and action plans (potentially using a RISc methodology) to enhance the rate of risk reduction considering efficiency and resource availability.

13) Responsible for PHA Revalidation and Recommendations progressed to proper process

14) Assistance with SORA's, SIS test plans, C&E drawings, ISA 84 life cycle

15) Knowledgeable in all aspects of facility and well pad operations with the ability to support projects with facility upgrades.

-Familiar with and able to facilitate/scribe various hazard identification methods and scenario-based hazard evaluation procedures (What-If, Fault Tree, Hazard and Operability, Layer of Protection Analysis, Event Tree, and/or Bow-Tie Analysis).

-Strong understanding of PSM systems

-Familiar with Process Safety Documentation (P&IDs, Cause and Effects, Safety Instrumented Systems, automation and controls)

-Familiar with Facility Siting and Inherently Safer Design principles.

Hours/rotation: Rotation of 91 days on site and 15 days off (2 days traveling)

The Mechanical Supervisor will directs Subcontractor activities for Mechanical Construction, ensuring that Plant Construction works are performed according to the erection schedules and Project documents, within the assigned cost budget, and according to Quality & Safety procedures, as well as according to the terms and conditions of the subcontract.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Prior to the start of works, to check the Supplier's material and technical documentation delivery schedule. Check that the same is in line with Construction schedules and contractual commitments
  • Prior to the start of works, control and approve the Method Statements submitted by the Subcontractors, ensuring their correct application on the field
  • Ensures the implementation of all the HSE procedures and standards for the areas or activities (subcontractors) of responsibilities
  • Participates to the HSE activities at site as defined for his position in the Site HSE plan and related procedures
  • To check that the said schedule is kept to, and to promote action to recover any delay;
  • To check that the equipment and manpower employed by the Subcontractor are adequate and that the works performed by the Subcontractor conform to design documents, Safety regulations, and to the Quality level fixed by the same;
  • Perform inspections and sign the necessary certificates as per Site Inspection Plans;
  • To prepare the non-conformity register for each Subcontractor and co-ordinate nonconformity resolution;
  • To detect any design errors, and where possible rectify the same or request the Site Engineer to make the necessary changes;
  • To check Subcontractors' work progress status sheets and sign the same for approval;
  • To manage vendor specialists
  • To assist the Contract Manager/Engineer in defining new prices, in preparing amendments to subcontracts and in analysing and discussing claims.

Senior Production Engineer

Petroplan is currently looking to speak with Senior Production Engineering professionals on behalf of numerous Oil & Gas companies around the Texas area that are looking to add to their teams. Prospective professionals must have extensive experience in unconventional shale across the US.
Responsibilities:

  • Recommend wells for recompletion and or abandonment
  • Perform open hole and cased hole log evaluation
  • Work in concert with field operations staff to insure production goals and cost controls are met
  • Designing and recommending development plans for company assets


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related degree
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of field experience
  • Experience in artificial lift, well surveillance and workover operations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the USA with no sponsorship required
