Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a facilities engineer to be responsible for leading and strategic planning of the following key projects:

  1. All flowline network modelling including GAP, PIPEFLOW analysis and planning for flowline "jumpovers" with existing wells and/or expansion of the GC manifolds.
  2. Urbanization Planning for the project (all reservoirs and exploration)
  3. Efficient development of multi-well pads and facilities corridors.
  4. Coordination of hooking up to all new wells, validating communication connections
  5. Surface planning for first pilot dumpflood or HW injection with source well and temp s. injection facilities on time

Key Skill Sets

Strong and proven experience in network modelling, s. hydraulic balancing, multi-phase flow predictions and flowline planning. The facilities engineer will be very strong in connecting PROSPER Models with GAP analysis to model and balance existing and plan for new flowlines, design for pipeline corridors and debottlenecking of GC and header systems. Also, be able to quickly assess surface facilities bottlenecks and recommend efficient/economic engineered solutions.

Planning and design of integrated surface facilities for growth projects including multi-well pads, facilities corridors, surface WI facilities and future GCs. Experience in multi-well pads and development of creative pad solutions in soft soil, high water table areas will be a requirement.

Must be a leader in project planning and daily engagement of full cross-functional team members in planning of strategic projects. Gantt Chart planning of all work flows, analysis and planning forward will be a requirement of this position.

In addition to the technical skillset requirements, the facilities engineer must be very strong at verbal and written, presentation communication skill sets. Further, candidate will be extremely proactive in engaging the client on surface facilities issues and have superior ability at building positive working relationships with the project team.

The successful candidate will be extremely proactive, engaging in client's office and visible leadership with his work to quickly assess modelling and facilities planning issues, engage the client in range of practical solution sets, and be able to independently produce well intervention/remedial procedures for execution. Weekly reporting and presentation updates to the client will be a requirement of this position.

The project plans to add at least 14 producing wells in 2018/2019 and 12 wells in 2019/2020 and ramp production up to 45,000 by 2020.

Greenfield development requires immediate, integrated urbanization planning with other projects in North Kuwait.

Instrument and Control Engineer

We are looking for an instrument and control engineer to work with a leading operator on a rotation in the North Sea.

The instrument engineer works closely with the Client's Technical Authority to ensure technical quality and the application of practical, operable, and innovative technology by the engineering contractors. The discipline engineer also helps to ensure contractor engineering discipline work is completed in an efficient manner and supports project schedule milestones. The discipline engineer's roles and responsibilities include:

  1. Provides safety leadership enforcing the Client's Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures, and objectives to ensure that instrument and control designs are inherently safer, risks are reduced, and HSE requirements are satisfied.
  2. Provides leadership, along with the Clients' Technical Authority, for the overall instrument and control design efforts.
  3. Develops instrument design practices and philosophies including overall control schemes and shutdown philosophies.
  4. Ensures that appropriate design specifications and standards are being used in the design process.
  5. Ensures project design is consistent with the client's integrity management standard use of Guidance on Certification and industry standards.
  6. Reviews and provides comments on instrumentation and control designs.
  7. Reviews P&ID's, loop drawings, instrument specifications, and instrument selection.
  8. Provides safe, operable, and efficient equipment designs,

  1. Evaluates and selects vendors and equipment.
  2. Identifies integration and infrastructure issues.

  4. Assists with performance tests and problem resolution.
  5. Assists in checkout, commissioning, and startup.
  6. Actively participates in fabrication shop visits.
  7. Assists with the development of operation procedures and training.
  8. Communicates and coordinates with Project Engineers and Project Leads.
  9. Monitors performance of Engineering Contractor discipline engineers and reports deviations from acceptable performance.

Job Overview

The logistics manager will work in the disciplines of field logistics, field camps and transportation services as well as the management of staff turnaround accommodation in Muscat.

The primary responsibilities of the role are to actively lead, inspire and foster a professional oilfield logistics operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The logistics manager will liaise with Operations Director and Head of Production on operational issues.
  • Study current logistics operation process and procedures and design information systems and reporting solutions to help logistics operation run more efficiently and effectively.
  • Recommend process improvements based on report data; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective action.
  • Develop and implement department Policies, Procedures and operational and safety manuals and maintain them and ensure that all activities are within national or local legislation and comply with company guidelines and procedures.
  • Provide all team members with clearly defined and documented accountabilities. Set performance standards, goals and objectives which are aligned with their performance contracts and reward mechanisms.
  • Provide technical support to the worksite team; as an example, during the planning and execution of complex lifting operations and during critical/unusual operations.
  • Responsible for the HSE of Field Logistics Support, Field camps ( /- 800 occupants), Muscat Support, Transport Vehicles, and the Journey Management operations.
  • Responsible for the contract management of (4) or more major contracts.
  • Ensure that equipment and procedures are in place to deal with emergencies and unexpected incidents and exercise leadership and judgment in dealing with emergencies.
  • Responsible for developing and managing field logistics and camp services budgets, follow budgeting guidelines, identify and bring about necessary changes to reduce costs and to improve work programmes and effectiveness without sacrificing quality or productivity.
  • Help enhance the career development of the personnel in the department by providing guidance, tuition and support. Liaise with Operations Director regarding career development for engineers in Drilling Operations.
  • Responsible to meet KPI's for the Logistics and Services department.
  • Liaise and manage daily interface between logistics and all other stakeholder departments; production, drilling, well intervention, projects and supply chain.
  • Responsible for the overall safety and security of the field logistics services. Conduct regular safety meetings with the field management, sharing lessons learnt from incident reviews and leading indicators. Lead Incident Free drive for the operations and conduct a quarterly safety meeting with logistics contractors.
  • Assesses the businesses financial and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) risks
  • Conduct regular visits to the field to ensure that contractors are executing the work safely
  • Develops scopes of work for tendering, evaluates, and recommends contractors for awarding. Sourcing, tendering, and contracting, mobilization and management of equipment and materials used in drilling and well intervention.
  • Prepare Work Plan, Leads quarterly KPI reviews and annual operation planning.
  • Continuously learns and applies updated logistics techniques and adapt to changing logistics landscapes, keeping up with current trend and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • The logistic manager will hold a relevant degree; preferable is a post graduate qualification in Logistics Management.
  • Preferable also to be an active member of the Oman Logistics Association/ Chartered Institute of Logistics in Oman.
  • Hold NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum.
  • Must have no less than 10 years' relevant filed logistics experience in the oil industry.
  • Ability to lead a multidiscipline team of internal/external technical experts and services and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments and officials
  • Fluent in English Language (Speaking, reading, and writing) to effectively interact with multiple levels and functions within the organization.

We are working with a leading oil and gas client who are looking for a senior reliability engineer to work in a new position in Qatar.

The reliability engineer;

  • Ensures high level of plant equipment reliability by carrying our regular study of problems/difficulties and failures of the systems/equipment and produces recommendations for improvement to prevent such problems.
  • Carries out analysis to determine reliability of components, equipment and systems.
  • Collects data and analyses the data.
  • Prepares reports to define reliability problems and recommends improvements.
  • Conducts an analysis of equipment reliability problems and investigates to determine the reliability required for particular situation considering the cost limitations, equipment up/down time, repair/ replacement costs, weight, size and availability of materials/equipment



Experience & Skills

  • Minimum of 12-15 years' experience, in designing, sizing, erection , installation commissioning and maintenance of plant equipment in oil/petrochemical industries out of which at least four (4) years' experience infield of design and maintenance.
  • Appropriate computer literary and knowledge of using computer features to soVe/suppoit different technical and reliability problems.
  • Fully conversant with failure analysis and failure mode (FMEA) and equipment criticality analysis (ECA)
  • Experience in selection of equipment and maintenance strategy.



Education

Sr. Process Development Engineer

Overview:
Petroplan is seeking a Sr. Process Development Engineer to be responsible for translating technology R&D programs to commercial readiness. This role will support technology scale-up as the liaison with the Engineering and Business groups to translate pilot results to practical commercial design packages for new technologies.
Reports to: Manager, Process Development
Activities & Responsibilities:

  • New technology scale-up and commercialization:
    • Work with Business groups to define scale-up targets for new technologies and guide testing programs accordingly.
    • Translate pilot plant data to commercial-ready process design incorporating all practical cost, operability, and safety considerations.
    • Develop required engineering documentation (P&ID, equipment costs, etc) needed for further scale-up evaluation.
    • Develop proprietary equipment design opportunities.
    • Develop catalyst scale-up requirements and commercialization plans.
    • Carry out technology transfer and process training activities with Technical Service group for field implementation of new technologies.


Experience Requirements:

  • BS/MS in Chemical Engineering with 10 years of experience in a process development or process engineering role.
  • Excellent teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical engineering fundamentals.
  • Strong skills in process simulation, flowsheet development, and development of design materials (H&MB, PFDs, P&IDs, equipment PDS, etc).
  • Experience with pilot plant operations and technology scale-up.
  • Self-motivated with emphasis to push projects towards commercial application.


Additional Requirements:

  • Experience in plant commissioning, startup, and operation.
  • Available for 15% annual travel, both foreign and domestic.

A. Requirements
Educational Level : University Graduated
Work Experience : Experience required minimum 10 years in NHDS, CCR, PENEX and AROMATIC
unit operation or relevant section with 3 years' experience as a Panel Operator, and
engaged in actual field operation for 3 years which includes not only routine
operation but also trouble-shooting, trial operation, preparation for daily and
turnaround maintenance.
Specialty/Qualification : Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Petrochemical, Mechanical or equivalent.
Skills :

Passionate dedication to maintaining safe operations enforcing strict
conformance with all government regulations, and applicable company
procedures and policies.


- Operation, commissioning and start-up of the petroleum & petrochemical

Purpose
Specialist Panel Operator has responsibility for performing all tasks assigned in a safe and responsible
manner in accordance with the established operating procedures and written and oral instructions from the Shift
Supervisor/ Specialist Shift Supervisor. He is responsible to actively supervise DCS Operators, and operate DCS
control console to coordinate and regulate process variables.
C. Responsibility
Section-1.2 has responsibility of the refinery petroleum & petrochemical process operation including
NHDS, CCR, PENEX and AROMATIC. Specialist Shift Supervisor is in charge of following duties:

- Have a considerable amount of experience in plant commissioning, startup, troubleshooting and
normal operation, especially DCS operation.
- Responsible for support of DCS Operators, and supervision of Lead operator, and Field Operators
together with DCS Operators. Specialist Panel Operator works very closely with DCS Operators to
convey their instruction to all Field Operators. They report to the Shift Supervisor and/or Specialist
Shift Supervisor.
- Read processing schedules, operating logs, test results of samples, and laboratory recommendations
to determine changes in equipment controls required to produce specified quantity and quality of
product.
- Monitor the operating conditions constantly to ensure the quick resolution of abnormal operational
situations and set controls to adjust process variables, such as flows, temperatures and pressures.
- Responsible for recording, compiling, reporting and documenting operating data, and monitoring
process indicators.
- Coordinate the startup, shutdown and normal operations with the outside operators
- Perform basic calculations for determining process parameters and material balances.
- In the event of any incidents, evaluates the root causes and determines remedial actions and involves
the section manager, deputy section manager and shift supervisor when necessary.
- Participate in the development of training programs as well as building up the operation team and
ensuring their competence for the tasks in the assigned area.
