Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of general pipeline or plant welding experience with an emphasis on welding or pipeline construction
  • NDE Certifications

MWD Service Technician

I am currently working with a Downhole Tool manufacturing and service company located in the North Houston area. They are looking for a qualified individual to work in shop setting assisting with the assembly/disassembly, troubleshooting and testing of downhole tools. This is a full time, permanent role.

Daily duties:

  • Assembly and disassembly of tools
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on tools.
  • Operate breakout machines and torque equipment
  • Calibrate and inspection of equipment
  • Assisting with in-shop testing and troubleshooting
  • Preparing items for shipping
  • Forklift, pallet jack, and/or overhead crane operation
  • Utilizing various hand tools
  • Standing for multiple hours
  • Handling materials that weigh 50 lbs


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 3 year of experience working in a similar environment
  • Break out machinery background (make and break equipment)
  • Able to stand for multiple hours
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Able to work weekends (either schedule shift or on call rotation)

Summary

Under direct supervision, responsible for ensuring timely materials goods movements, accurate and appropriate storage and movement of products and inventory accuracy. Also responsible for other daily operations functions of the warehouse which includes various clean-up and housekeeping activities. Two year degree and 1 years work experience preferred. Experience working in an operations environment is preferred, including knowledge and use of handheld scanners and lift truck certification. Job will also require the performance of other duties and activities as directed.

1. Participates in physical inventory counting to ensure inventory accuracy
2. Performs SAP materials management transactions such as goods receipts, goods issues and transfer postings as required to ensure timely processing of goods movements.
3. Picks materials for goods issues and transfer posting following established processes to ensure inventory accuracy and timely goods movement. Packs materials for transportation using appropriate packing materials and methods. Creates shipping documents which comply with local and country requirements for material type and mode of transportation.
4. Participates in activities to ensure warehouse organization is optimized, meets company standards and is clean and tidy. Participates in 5S initiatives in the warehouse environment.
5. Participates in Lean and continuous improvement initiatives relating to materials management and warehouse processes.

  • Develop or improve work instructions, assembly, test, or training procedures, routers, and other manufacturing documentation to enhance customer satisfaction and manufacturing performance.


Requirements:

  • 3-5 years experience creating document packages for traceable parts.
  • Knowledge of and experience reviewing Material Test Report (MTR) to ASME and other industry standards.
  • Knowledge of and experience reviewing Non-Destructive Test(NDE) Report to NDE procedures (like Penetrant testing, Magnetic particle testing, hardness testing, Ultrasound testing and Radiography testing procedures)
  • Knowledge of ASME, API, ABS, and DNV standards.
