  1. Senior I&C Engineer with a minimum of 10 years experience in the oil and gas industry.
  2. Knowledge of multi-phase and single phase measurement technology (design, specification, commissioning, and operation) is required.
  3. EPC experience is required.
  4. Experience with field instrument design, specification, and commissioning is required.
  5. Experience in Control systems design, including development of control narratives, cause and effect diagrams, management of automation contractors, and integration of instrumentation into control systems is required.
  6. Experience with Safety Instrumented Systems design, Emergency Shut-down, SIL/LOPA analysis and verification is required.
  7. Experience in dealing with construction contractors to resolve installation and start-up issues is required.
  8. Experience in procurement of instrumentation, vendor document reviews and liaison is required.
  9. Experience in use of Intools is required.
  10. Experience with industry standards, including north American and European codes is required.
  11. Experience in use of SIL verification software is a definite plus.
  12. Experience in up stream oil and gas is a definite plus.
  13. SIL certification is a definite plus.

They are currently looking to bring on a well-versed Senior Mechanical Engineer with prior experience around designing, testing and commercializing oilfield technology more specially, Hydraulic Fracturing equipment. Responsibilities:

  • Work with the mechanical engineering team within a multi-discipline engineering department.
  • Utilize 3D and 2D modeling software to create designs
  • New product development and sustainable engineering work
  • Participate in the development of designs and test fixtures
  • Conduct various analysis and simulations
  • Create manufacturing drawings and designs
  • Mentor junior engineers
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Travel requirements to field and customer locations (potentially up to 25%)

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)

CNC programmers sought for a Calgary based downhole tool manufacturing company servicing the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate must be experienced in multi axis CNC operations.
This position is on a shift cycle with set hours a week, requirement for overtime is based on scale and timeline of individual projects. Permanent position based on completion of probationary period.

Job Description:

  • Requires machine programming, set up, clean down, and visual inspection of completed parts.
  • Ensuring all parts are manufactured according to design requirements
  • Service equipment as necessary to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Adherence to client tolerances must be met.
  • Adhere to deadlines of manufacturing work orders
  • Always maintain a safe and clean work area


Requirements:

  • At least 2 years experience programming CNC operation in Milling, Turning or both.
  • Experienced on CAD-CAM packages such as MasterCAM, EdgeCAM, etc.
  • Experience with multiple material types e.g. Carbon Steels, Brass, Aluminium, Inconel, and Stainless Steel.
  • Ability to read and understand basic drawings
  • Ability to verify dimensions of parts machined using basic measuring tools such as micrometers, callipers, bore gages and other precision measuring instruments
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

Petroplan are looking for a Test Services Technician to work in the South East UK on a permanent staff basis.

This role supports the Electrical and Instrumentation side of the mechanical/engine/rig testing team.

The Test Services Technician Role is an integral part of the Test Services team working to support the on-going projects within Product Testing and Engineering.

They are required to complete a variety of tasks ranging from mechanical fabrication, maintenance of established test beds, support the mechanical team with on-going installations and maintenance equipment programs.

The role will support engine and rig testing operations throug build, disassembly, problem solving & diagnostic skills. They will work closely with the Test Services Team to support of a variety of fuels or lubricant technical projects.

Educational background:

  • NVQ L3 in engineering/science or equivalent experience.

Essential Experience:

  • Knowledge of the installation and operation of test engines.
  • Knowledge of gasoline and diesel combustion processes.
  • Knowledge of diesel and gasoline fuel delivery systems and operating strategies.

Desirable Experience:

  • Ability to use CAD/ 3D drawing packages.
  • Experience of engine test control systems.
  • Experience of data acquisition and analysis of data.

The client are looking for someone with experience designing tools such as Liner Hangers, Packers, Sliding Sleeves, Frac Plugs and related equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity to get involved in company developing new product lines whilst continuously improving manufacturing methods.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for product design, testing and manufacturing process. This involves initial design and prototyping, calculation overview, design for manufacturing, qualification, documentation, R&D and manufacturing.
  • Review and maintain quality standards in all processes and documentation ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Verify existing test methods and develop new efficient tools and tests.
  • Oversee all staff involved in manufacturing and design process for specific products to ensure quality standards are met and adherence to production schedules.
  • Guide and assist team under product banner, such as R&D, Design, Sales and Manufacturing.
  • Create to workflow schedules to achieve production target and to market goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or qualified Mechanical Engineering Technologist with experience.
  • Over 4 years' experience in design and manufacturing of downhole tools is essential.
  • APEGA registration as P.Eng is preferred.
  • Proficient is design software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
  • Experienced leading teams of varied skill levels to achieve set goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • For consideration candidates must have knowledge and experience with flow control and fracturing tool manufacturing.
