Sales Manager - Lubricants (Greece)

Role summary:

The role is designed to provide additional support to the expanding business in Greece. The role holder will develop trading function in Lubricants Oils and is required to work with the Line Manager to expand lubricants sales in the direct responsibility area as well as support, coordinate and develop traders' sales of Lubricants in the region.

The duties and responsibilities for the role are listed below:


* Solicit and actively seek new enquiries from new and existing customers, obtaining credit limits through the company process, namely in agreement from the Global Head of Lubricants.
* Work trading accounts within agreed credit limits and using VISTA and COMET.
* Assess customers inquiries for spot or contract businesses.
* Obtain quotations for lubricants enquiries, negotiate with customer to win business and communicate confirmation of agreement through relevant means e.g. VISTA / COMET
* Arrange supply for Greek trader's inquiries as well as other offices inquiries upon request.
* Assist Greek traders in pricing and offering using own and group market knowledge,
* Develop the Group network of suppliers and register new suppliers in Vista according to the process.
* Communicate actively and regularly with all group lubricants stakeholders.
* Report regularly to management on sales and supply developments and progresses.
* Assist in maintaining up to date information on lubricant prices, movement and availabilities.
* Accountable as part of the Lubricants team for increasing Group profit whilst acting morally within commercial constraints.
* Conclude trading with awareness of and adherence to the Group's strategic objectives regarding acceptable trading margins.
* Abide by service level agreements in relation to quality assurance, both internally and externally.
* Comply with legislation and promote the group's safety culture with responsibility.
* Ensure compliance with quality assurance and Group documentation including resolving queries/discrepancies in a balanced and satisfactory manner.
* Ensure the maintenance of record including invoices, letters, emails, notices are checked, filled and archived correctly and VISTA is used at all times as and when appropriate.
* Adherence to the Group's policies, processes, procedures and systems and Employee Handbook as well as relevant legislation.

Integrity within the role is imperative, and the employee must always comply with policies and procedures.

English - Written & Verbal (Fluent)
Bachelor's degree
Second language is an advantage
Required experience:
Previous proven experience in marine lubricants sales / trading in the Greek market - min 5 years
Previous experience within a major supplier - min 2 years
Understanding of lubricants re-selling
In-depth product knowledge

Main area of responsibility

The role of Business Development Manager's main purpose is driving revenue and profitable market share growth within targeted offshore decommissioning services. The job scope covers a wide range of commercial functions, including developing and broadening relationships with existing and new clients, as well as working closely with a broad network of partners and subcontractors to develop unique product offerings. The role will be a primary driver for the company's global strategic growth plans in the offshore decommissioning market in the Americas. Additional focus is required upon Inspection, Repair and Maintenance (IRM) segment.

Detailed responsibilities

  • Identifying and securing new business with both new and existing clients within the Americas. Regional experience and experience of key account management is a must have credential.
  • Identify and develop new commercial opportunities that will allow the company to broaden our remit within the defined market segments.
  • Manage market knowledge diligently, maintaining competitor and industry knowledge and utilizing business development tools available (CRM, Sharepoint, Trackers, etc.).
  • Ensure business development information is in a form that can be communicated and shared easily across the company.
  • Ensure the company is included on any relevant tender lists and conduct win/pursuit plans and provide intelligence to better our position.
  • Provide input to tenders working with team members from commercial, engineering, and finance.
  • Provide proactive relationship management for existing business and future projects, including utilizing the company's colleagues' contacts for pursuing opportunities.
  • Identify and build strategic partnerships, in order to develop unique product offerings.
  • Build relationships of trust with all stakeholders - internal and external.
  • Build detailed knowledge of the company's products, service capabilities, and contractual instruments common to our activity.
  • Ensure that the leadership team has sufficient business development and commercial information so that informed decisions may be taken on current and future projects.
  • Interface in a collaborative fashion with both company pillars (Projects & Emergency Response), sharing market intelligence and providing cross-selling of multiple product lines.

Required / Preferred Training and Education

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant discipline (Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, etc.).
  • Proven commercial success in offshore energy industry (min 5 x years).
  • Knowledgeable in various types of contracts standard to marine and offshore contracting industry.
  • Technically knowledgeable in relevant areas to sell services to offshore energy segment.
  • Existing relationships with vendors and clients in target segments strongly preferred.
  • Experience developing project business cases a plus.
  • Must have extensive industry experience and knowledge, including relevant contacts.

Must be able to travel domestically & internationally as needed, but likely frequently

Position: HSE Manager

Job type: Permanent, Monday to Friday

Location: Westlake, Louisiana

Petroplan is currently working with a Petrochemical facility who require an HSE Manager for their Westlake facility as they head into the Operational phase.

In this position, you will act as the focal point for all site safety matters and report directly to the Head of the Facility. You will be involved with ensuring that all activities are planned, scheduled and executed to achieve the agreed requirements in a safe and efficient manner. Key challenges will include:

  • Schedule, plan and execute all HSE functions in coordination with Operations and in compliance with safety procedures, relevant safety, environmental, legal and ethical rules.
  • Write, implement and manage HSE Programs, Policies and Procedures.
  • Train staff to promptly respond to HSE-related issues, concerns, etc., and advise the HSE Manager immediately.
  • Be knowledgeable and enforce compliance with Regulatory requirements (i.e., OSHA, EPA, etc.) as well as company HSE policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate for the HSE Manager position will have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent experience), with over 10 years of HSE experience in Refining or Petrochemical (Oil & Gas) environment and fire brigade experience (must have fire response training/experience).

Suitable candidates will be a driven, autonomous, self-motivated safety professional who is passionate and hungry to succeed.
