Our client is looking for an integrity engineer to support a team of engineers, providing expert discipline advice to support operations and safeguard technical integrity.

Experience/Qualifications Needed

  • University graduate in an engineering discipline, preferably mechanical, with minimum 10 years with oil and gas design, construction and project engineering work experience.
  • Significant experience in the physical inspection of static equipment with recognised international certification in inspection
  • Experienced RBI facilitator


Principal Accountabilities

  • Improve inspection approaches, and better understanding of static and pipelines integrity to become more dependent on the equipment condition through RBI approach to optimize maintenance and inspection plan for static equipment and pipelines
  • Carry out corrosion related investigations of equipment failures and selection of the required repairs and quality control tests to restore equipment integrity.
  • Initiate pre-screening RBI exercise and final implementation to reduce and optimize turnaround, maintenance and inspection plan.
  • Facilitating Risk Based Inspection Workshops and providing the Material & Corrosion input to the development of corrosion control and inspection strategies and methodologies in line with asset maintenance reference plans
  • Provide Support to Asset team Oxo6 groups team to assess accordingly integrity of equipment and facilities
  • Responsible for preparing the inspection programmes and executing them against budget and plan.
  • As contract site representative for the risk Based inspection contract, ensure quality deliverables, data gathered is accurate, assumptions are logical and documented.
  • Appropriate personnel is utilized to provide data and assumptions, appropriate quality and validity checks are employed in order to fulfil RBI implementation for facilities
  • Provide technical support to Plan and manage improvements in inspection Data management
  • Support integrity engineers and plant inspectors (when, where & how to inspect) and interpretation of inspection findings to guarantee fit for service condition of the equipment

Our client, a large renewables organization is looking to add a Chemical Commissioning Specialist/Operator to their team for a 5 - 6 month independent contract based in Edmonton. This is a local Edmonton position with a rotation of 4 days on, 5 days off.

Job Overview

The Commissioning Specialist will work with other technical and/or professional staff, consultants and contractors to ensure the successful ramp up of plant production.

Responsibilities:

* Operate the process safely and reliably by performing routine operating tasks (monitor levels, temperatures, pressures, flow rates, etc.)
* Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or perform optimizations on equipment such as centrifuges, conveyor systems, gas compressors, various types of pumps
* Make safety the top priority and incorporate this and demonstrate it in all tasks
* Ensure work permits are completed properly and issued in a timely manner
* Participate in the lock out and safe out of equipment for maintenance
* Have a keen eye for signs of trouble with mechanical equipment during inspection rounds; report abnormal conditions
* Intervene in the event of an emergency or a disruption to protect people, stabilize the process, and protect the environment
* Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards of quality and safety at work
* Communicate with team leads, technical personnel and other resources to support the commissioning scope
* Work as a team to ensure continuous improvement of commissioning service delivery

Key Requirements:

* 10 - 15 years of experience with the Oil & Gas Industry, with a focus in gas plant production, treatment and compression

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Experience:

Must have 5 years' experience in the development and implementation of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental programs preferably dealing with offshore supply vessels.

Must have experience interacting with clients on HSE matters and building HSE culture.

Experienced Mariner preferred.

o Support development of procedures for underwater diving operations (recognizing constraints)
o Oversee the use of motion data acquisition

Key Requirements:

o 6 - 10 years of relevant project engineering experience with a focus on fatigue/stress analysis
o P.ENG is highly desirable
o Previous subsea/marine project exposure is an asset
o Team focused individual
