Airport Depot Manager

Petroplan are looking to recruit a Airport Depot Manager to be based in Prestwick Airport 5 days a week.

  • The post holder is required to display a high degree of proficiency in managing employees and accredited maintenance contractor/s, handling a wide range of issues without guidance
  • The post holder must have a sound knowledge of aviation practice and a good understanding of standards
  • Working with personnel and being able to work on day to day issues, resolving any such issues and ensuring the operation functions in a safe and efficient manner
  • Run the interface with Airport Operations and third party ground handling companies on safety and the interaction between their operation and ours
  • Cost effective management of the Depot and Into plane operation
  1. Educational background
  • Tertiary Qualification in Engineering/Science or other related discipline with relevant experience and mechanical aptitude
  1. Experience (years and nature)
  • Sound knowledge of equipment maintenance and aircraft refuelling
  • Team leader with experience in people management and robust negotiation skills
  • Customer relationship/Responsiveness
  • Stocks accounting/balancing

Finite Element Analysis Engineer

I am currently working with an Engineering Consultanting firm located here in the Houston area that provides Finite Element Analysis(FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling and simulation to a variety of industries, including but not limited to: Oil & Gas, Medical Device, Aerospace, Maritime, Architectural, Industrial Equipment, Defense, and many more. They are currently looking to bring on an Engineer with a strong background in FEA modeling. This individual would need to a wide array of knowledge across multiple industries, and be able to "think outside the box". Please see below for further details around the role and requirements.

Duties:

  • Assisting with providing expertise and services in simulation and design exploration
  • Implement consulting projects and solutions
  • Work with Sales representatives in understanding customer needs and developing solutions
  • Assist with managing technical, QA, and scheduling of projects
  • Identify business opportunities and trends
  • Work with different levels of employees, clients, and customers,
  • Support Sales reps with providing industry knowledge, skills, and solutions



Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related STEM degree (Ph.D. preferred)
  • Strong FEA background utilizing various software including ABAQUS and ANSYS
  • Strong background with:
    • Fatigue and Fracture
    • Solid Mechanics
    • Thermal
    • Data Analytics
  • Experience in writing technical Papers and Research Reports
  • Able to travel domestically and potentially internationally

We are recruiting a NDT Technician with experience of Bond testing, Eddy Current, Radiography and RPS with DPI/MPI to work with a leading energy, inspection and testing company.

The NDT technician will be responsible for carrying out in service and pre-service Non Destructive Testing / Inspections of Aerospace & Industrial components by using various NDT methods mainly Ultrasonic, Radiographic and Penetrant Testing of Aerospace & Industrial metallic & Composite components

About the job

  • Carry out inspection of incoming material and equipment before it's use
  • In depth understanding of all current company, client or legislative requirements affecting NDT techniques and conduct all work in accordance with them
  • Follow all company and site health and safety regulations
  • Maintain all NDT equipment in good condition and ensure scheduled checks are carried out


Job requirements:

  • EN 4179 Aerospace qualifications are most desirable but consideration will be given to experienced Industrial Qualified Technicians willing to cross train
  • Experience of working in a NADAP approved test house is desirable
  • Ability to work on their own initiative and work well in a team environment
  • The ability to Communicate with Colleagues, Managers & Clients
  • Excellent organisation skills as well as being able to prioritise workloads
  • Valid Fork Lift Truck License or willing to achieve this
