Our client, a leading multinational mining organization is looking to add a Maintenance Manager to their team for a full time permanent position in Boron, California. This is an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to provide leadership and drive improvements to the Engineering Maintenance team. Working a 5 days on, 2 off rotation.

The Job

  • Establishing a safe, transparent, and constructive maintenance culture that rewards good
  • behavior and performance using sustainable safety and organizational effectiveness processes.
  • Analyzing and communicating maintenance performance, monitoring and sustaining business
  • systems and solutions to reduce costs, and improving performance against asset management
  • metrics.
  • Establishing and reporting against expense budget.
  • Monitor and drive value from HME and other vendor contracts
  • Coaching and mentoring staff to deliver safety, efficiency and results.


The Ideal Individual

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Mechanical, Electrical, Mining or related discipline
  • 5 years' experience in industrial maintenance environment
  • 2 years' of leadership experience
  • Strong Knowledge in project management, equipment maintenance, and reliability fundamentals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to staff, peers and stakeholders
  • Prior experience to Union environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Advanced CMMS (Ellipse, SAP) systems knowledge and financial modeling software would be considered an asset.
  • Understanding of the ISO 14001 and 9001 systems would be considered an asset.

The Company

The Job

Managing a team of multi skilled individuals, you will be responsible for ensuring mining equipment is kept well maintained and operational whilst following adherence to appropriate QSHE policies. You will be working with the planning and scheduling teams for planned maintenance activities as well as performing necessary audits and incident reports.

The Individual

You will have extensive experience working within the mining sector including time spent in a superintendent/supervisory position. Six or more years of leadership experience mobile maintenance or fixed plant maintenance or operations. Ideally you will have worked in a unionised environment. Engineering degree or technical diploma/certificate is preferred, however, relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

The Schedule

The shift schedule is a six days on/six days off rotation (three days on, three nights on, six days off; 12-hour shifts). If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory

You will be working with the Mining Operations Manager to monitor shovel pits, placement areas and haul roads and ensure necessary resources are assigned to ensure production targets are met.

The Individual

You will have extensive experience working within the mining sector including time spent in a superintendent/supervisory position focused on managing mining operations. At least eight years of heavy equipment operating experience. Mining engineers with practical field experience as a front line leader will also be considered. Computer proficiency, specifically in Modular Mining

CNC Machine Maintenance Technician

We are currently working with a global oil and gas service company that specializes in artificial lifts. They are looking to bring on board a well versed Maintenance Technician to help with maintenance of there CNC machines and equipment. This role is a permanent, full time opportunity with overtime. Job Duties

  • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair plant equipment including CNC Machines and facilities
  • Perform Preventive and Predictive Maintenance on CNC machines and equipment and ensure timely completion using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Execute regular work orders assigned by the maintenance management system
  • Analyze common trends in equipment malfunctions to help better prevent issues from happening
  • Keep active track of spare parts
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a mechanical repairs and troubleshooting of industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working on CNC Machines, Okuma, Mazak, Doosan preferred
  • Experience/knowledge of CNC process such as operating and setups
  • Basic Knowledge in hydraulic and pneumatic systems required, basic knowledge in electrical systems preferred
  • Ability to read electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and diagrams
  • Good computer skills (examples: Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.)
  • Commitment to work overtime as needed, such as weekends
  • Required to work on third shift
