Job Duties:

  • Calibrate testing equipment ranging from; micrometers calipers, plug & ring gages, height gages, dial gages, bore gages, mic-trac, FARO Arm, CMM and various other testing equipment.
  • Adhere to calibration procedures and specifications.
  • Prepare and maintain calibration documentation and input to database as required.
  • Work with third party vendors to schedule and maintain calibrations on equipment that cannot be calibrated internally.
  • Generate monthly calibration reports, outlining upcoming calibration dates, number of equipment needing calibration, total calibrated for the month and various other metrics.
  • Basic understanding of measurement uncertainties.
  • Maintain standards and measuring instruments and test procedures utilized by the company.
  • Write calibration procedures as needed for new equipment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of technical experience in metrology, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of metrology in accordance with ISO17025:2005, ISO 9001:2008, and ANSI/NCSL Z540-1.
  • Knowledge of measurement parameters and procedures of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
  • Knowledge of basic electronics, engineering, and metrology principles, theories and concepts in accordance with standard company procedures and policies.
  • Ability to work with all types of electronic test equipment.

Quality Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the quality system, is established, implemented and maintained in accordance with standards such as ISO 9001:2015
  • Review contracts, drawings, routings, purchase orders, shop instructions and various related production and development plans for quality requirements
  • Assist qualification of new manufactured quality products
  • Investigate all client complaints and issues

  • Participate as Material Review Board member to review and temper Non-Conforming Material as suitable

Petroplan is currently working with a large E&P business who require an additional HSE Advisor for their Drilling, completions and production operations.

In this position, you will provide technical assistance to field personnel for the implementation Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures. You will be involved with ensuring that all activities are planned, scheduled and executed to achieve the agreed requirements in a safe and efficient manner. Key challenges will include:

  • Working with the operations staff to collect and maintain required EHS data
  • Communicating effectively with the EHS Supervisor/Lead to resolve violations, maintain permits and address releases. Collaborates with data collection, and provides field input for the evaluation/improvement of Company policies and procedures
  • Providing support to the investigation of Company violations of a regulatory nature, including field investigations

You must have at least 5 years of experience, including 2 years' of recent experience working in the oil and gas industry.
