Petroplan is currently working with a MAJOR oil and gas client for 2 Sr. Audit Operations roles.


Primary Focus:

Responsible for planning and conducting business process, risk, compliance and operational assessments; carrying out independent, objective reviews of Company activities; providing analyses and customer-focused recommendations. Act as the Auditor-in-Charge on select engagements which involves leading the team during the planning and execution phases as well as drafting the audit report.
Responsibilities
o Participate in/establish the audit scope and objectives to ensure activities are consistent with the ethics, values and strategic objectives of the Company.
o Take ownership of and perform end to end audits including planning, scoping, fieldwork, testing and the delivery of high quality audit reports both verbal and written.
o Lead teams on select engagements (acting as the Auditor-in-Charge) providing junior staff members with coaching and performing first level of review of their work, as appropriate.
o Perform detailed risk and control assessments of areas under audit consideration.
o Develop and execute audit programs and procedures to effectively address the risks, controls and governance issues identified - this includes estimating and obtaining required resources and setting realistic deadlines.
o Identify and resolve complex issues and provide recommendations which add value.
o Communicate the results of work by preparing audit reports to appropriate parties, which may include Executive and senior management and the Board of Directors.
o Conduct/assist in research and analysis of technical and best-practice standards.
o Work with external auditors on selected assignments.
o Perform special project work at the request of management or the Audit Finance & Risk Committee.
o Promote the Internal Audit function within the organization.
Qualifications
Required
o Undergraduate degree in Engineering, EHS, Business or other technical field with experience working either in Internal Audit or Field Operations.
o Able to travel and work across border (Canada/US).
o Working knowledge of Canadian/US pipeline / asset regulations and auditing standards.
o Project management and operational risk management skills required.
o Previous experience in operational management system development and implementation as well as auditing management systems required.
o Strong business acumen and knowledge of progressive audit practices; process development; performance bench-marking.
o Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal) allowing clear communication of simple to complex concepts/ideas appropriately tailored to target audiences.
o Strong organizational and teamwork skills, including ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects.
o High level of analytical skills facilitating the development of complex audit plans or analyzes and the creation of new ideas.
o Demonstrates great diplomacy and tact. Builds informal/formal network of mutually beneficial relationships.
o Strong customer service orientation that anticipates and understands customers long and short term needs.
o Excellent facilitation, negotiation and influencing skills at various management levels of the organization.
o Ability to work independently.
o A minimum of 5-7 years of business/operational experience.
Preferred:
o Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or other audit related designations would be considered an asset.
o Knowledge of Construction Projects processes and procedures considered an asset.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support Construction Vessel Rep / Site Safety Leader to ensure that full compliance with HSSE procedures and requirements have been implemented and maintained by all associated Contractors and Suppliers.
  • Ensure that Contractor Reporting and Recording are compliant with HSSE Procedures.
  • Engage in clear, two way communications with employees and contractors on HSSE issues.
  • Review and prepare HSE Documents, Procedures and review of Risk Assessments.
  • Ensure that Suppliers and Contractors execute their work in accordance with established Project Procedures and that Contractor Self-verification and Oversight of Contractor Self-verification are completed per schedule.
  • Ensure Permit to Work Systems are managed in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Ensure that all accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions are investigated and reported, and corrective actions are promptly taken to prevent reoccurrence of the same.
  • Able to work 12 hour days and 14 day Offshore rotation (equal time working offshore / days off).


Qualifications:
NEBOSH Diploma/HSSE Advisor/Tech SP, HSSE Lead Auditor (External) to OHSAS 18001, NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate or equivalent certifications / degree and/or experience required.
Competent in communicating in English, Azeri and Russian language.
Current STCW training required
Current BOSIET water survival training required
Experience:
5 years in HSSE role with current knowledge of Industry HSSE Regulations required. Previous offshore experience is required.

Operates mechanical and electronic equipment to setup and produce tubing of various grades of material, wall

JOB DUTIES:
Changes mill filters and seam annealer fiberglass.

Threads material through forming and sizing sections of the mill to initiate setup of the mill.

Makes adjustments on driven stand rolls, side pass rolls, and weld rolls in accordance with Mill Tooling Setup Charts to properly set mill up for given sizes, walls, and grades of material.

Makes adjustments on sizing section driven stand rolls and side pass rolls to properly size tubing.

Operates the OD scarfing unit to properly scarf OD excess material produced adjusting cutting depth as necessary.

Operates control panel for mill, seam annealer, and full-body stress relieve to start and run strings of tubing as well as setup/pull test samples.

Performs dimensional and visual inspection of samples provided for beginning/end of strings and setup/pull test to verify quality of weld.

Sets and monitors temperature for full body, seam annealer, tube welding temperature as per instructions provided on the Mill Production Order and Work Instruction Manual.

During tube size changeovers, monitors and directs changeover team to insure a proper and efficient changeover,
performs changeover of weld rolls, installs impeder line and welder coil.

Perform all duties in accordance with Work Instruction Manual Chapter 2.

Comply with all applicable HSE requirements as specified in Quality Tubing?s HSE Operational Requirements for roles and responsibilities.

  • Extensive skills in management and leadership, team building, effective communication, conflict resolution and presentation.



Education

  • B.Sc. Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from an internationally recognized University.
  • Membership in a recognised professional engineering association (or institution) is preferable.

  • That the refinery's facilities are maintained by the workshops' resources with effective methods so that the planned availability can be maintained.
  • To work with preventive, corrective and development for all equipment within area of responsibility.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the Maintenance organisation at the refinery.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that subordinate staff have the necessary skills and instructions to be able to take independent responsibility and carry out their tasks towards set goals.
  • Be responsible for ensuring safety and working conditions for subordinate staff and for work environment and self-control work in their own area.
  • Be responsible for necessary and targeted competence development within their own area of responsibility. Manages training and training of subordinate staff. Decide for education within a given framework.

  • Be in overall responsibility for the process "Maintaining Facilities / Maintain Assets" at Nynäshamn's refinery.

  • Responsible that maintenance is performed in a cost-effective manner from preparation, planning to execution within the agreed time and quality framework.
  • Responsible for monitoring that the workshops' preventive maintenance is carried out according to schedule and, where appropriate, to propose re-prioritization of work placement.
