Cathodic Protection and Corrosion Specialist

The Cathodic Protection and Corrosion Specialist shall be the Operations Technical Authority responsible for the timely development and implementation of Cathodic Protection and Corrosion Control Inspection and testing strategies; ensuring that supporting processes and systems are established to manage and optimise production and availability and realise the highest standards of safety and integrity.

Reporting directly to the Technical and Asset Integrity Manager, they shall be accountable for providing operations technical assurance for the pre-commissioning, commissioning and operation of all the Company's Cathodic Protection and Corrosion control systems.

The Incumbent shall be the focal point in defining robust inspection and test plans for cathodic protection and corrosion control. They will support the in-country direct and contracted resources in addressing technical issues, improving performance, providing technical guidance and lead any failure investigations. They shall engage with external parties including shareholders, specialist equipment & service providers, industry technical bodies, and technical experts as required to drive continuous improvement.

Experience Required:

  • 10-12 years' supervisory/frontline, Cathodic Protection and Corrosion Specialist engineering experience. ideally involving gas compression and transmission systems
  • Experience in the development of cathodic protection and corrosion control procedures
  • Excellent understanding of safe systems of work, isolation control methods and job safety analysis
  • Experience of performing technical authority role or equivalent
  • Cathodic protection and corrosion inspection database
  • Software (CorrPro an advantage)
  • Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
  • Geographic Information System (GIS)
  • SSOW
  • Demonstrable understanding of expectation of contribution at Principal Engineer Level
  • Experience in the execution stage of a major green-field onshore/offshore hydrocarbon facility
  • Knowledge of corrosion degradation mechanisms for Pressure Systems, pipelines and structures.
  • Knowledge of mitigation controls to manage corrosion drivers Hydrocarbon Pipeline Transmission (advantageous)
  • Working Knowledge of key industry standard such as NACE
  • English speaking

Job Description:

Lead the project coordination and warehouse department to make sure our customers are happy and return. Manage your team and organize project execution. Projects are diverse and you will manage many suppliers and complex logistics to give customers what they want. You will have management experience in the Energy industry either with a procurement or operations background.

Job Duties:

  • Agree execution strategy for each order with the project coordination team.
  • Overall responsibility for order performance - on time delivery, low reject rate.
  • Ensure staff are working within order management process and procedures.
  • Work with the finance department to ensure smooth transition from delivery of product to invoicing - responsible for ensuring finance is aware of when to submit invoices to the customer.
  • Regularly review supplier performance and work with suppliers to improve performance
  • Report monthly and quarterly performance figures to management.
  • Assist with recruitment - interviews, hiring decision. To grow your operations team
