This position is contract, 8 days on / 6 days off, and will be located in Loving, New Mexico. Prospective candidates will be responsible for well operations, gas lifted wells, ESP's, three phase separation, gas compression, control board operation, pipeline operation, minor maintenance of valve, pumps and rotating equipment and assisting the other operators and craft personnel in their duties.

Scope of work:

  • Attend anomaly/MCDR body decision meeting Arrange for drafting, materials and fabrication for anomaly? /MCDR rectification
  • Provide engine? Engineering drawings to offshore for dimensional verification
  • Review engineering drawings prior to AFC release and provide comments on constructability, specification, conformance and weld ability
  • Monitor onshore fabrication and offshore construction implementation activities
  • Liaise with Senior Static Equipment Engineers for implementation and safety of assigned work scope
  • Co-ordinate the construction activities with the onshore and offshore planners
  • Obtain technical input from Engineering, HSEQ, Contracts and Logistics
  • Raise a work order (WO) for each individual Anomal? y/MCDR
  • Provide close out information for ? completed anomalies/MCDR's


Required competencies:

  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical engineering
  • Minimum 8 years' experience within the oil and gas industry
  • Sound knowledge of piping, pressure vessels and skid mounted assemblies
  • Familiar with MS Word, Excel, Project and Power Point
  • QA/QC

To operate the Client Plant within safe operating envelopes, following safe work procedures, maintaining plant availability, taking environmental care, economic operation and upholding Client values.

Educational Qualification
Minimum of 15 years of Gas Plant experience with 3 years supervisory role.
Degree diploma preferably in Chemical Engineering or equivalent relevant technical qualifications.

Experience profile
Comprehensive understanding of gas plant design, controls maintenance and operations.
Experience with distributed control systems, gas processing and gas turbine and compressor operations
Comprehensive understanding of wellhead maintenance including wellhead completion, Xmas tree valve and wellhead seal testing, completions, piping surface installations.
Strong verbal and written English skills, including the ability to draft concise operating instruction and procedures.
Computer literate-Microsoft WORD and excel
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Excellent teamwork, communication, leadership, organisational and planning skills.
Self starter able to work with minimal supervision.
Valid UAE license preferred.

Competencies
Must be familiar in the following unit operations, Slug Catchers, separators, condensate stabilisation column, heat exchangers, furnaces, mono ethylene glycol Unit, pumps, Gas compressors, Gas turbines, utilities including generators and fire protection systems and storage equipment.

Class 2 Mariner Foreign Going STCW 2010 11/2 certificate of competency OR class 3 deck officer Foreign Going STCW 2010 11/1 certificate of competency with 10 year VTS operator experience in similar Port layout.
Should hold Global Marine Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) Certificate and automatic Radar Plotting aids (ARPA) or Radar Observer certificate.
IALA V-103/2 VTS Supervisor certificate.
Completion of level VI English proficiency course.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
Good communication skills and telephone etiquette.
Computer literacy and MS OFFICE.
Knowledge of international regulations for the prevention of collision at sea.
Knowledge of the legal liabilities of a VTS Centre.
Detailed and updated knowledge of operational rules and procedures for a VTS.

Purpose

  • Must be assertive confident and knowledgeable and demonstrate significant leadership qualities and must be able to make considered decisions of regional and national importance in times of emergency within industrial cities.
  • Must have a proven history of managing and motivating multi-cultural society.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Qatar Laws and thorough understanding of the intenational emergency response procedures within the oil and gas industries and be able to develop high level emergency procedures autonomously, based on internationally recognised standards (ex NFPA AND BS) and current practices.
  • Detailed user knowledge of the following applications; Microsoft office, Power point, excel, Access, Word and Project. Should be able to effectively operate lotus Notes, GIS Software and SAP.
  • Must have an excellent command of the English.
