Position Summary

Core Responsibilities
* Play a key role in coordination with Engineering interfaces for executing the Engineering Work Packages.
* Collaborate with Maintenance and Operations teams to develop maintenance strategies for implementation of projects.
* Identify and manage, in support of Project Construction Supervisor, the project execution through optimizing resources and coordination with vendors and suppliers for timely availability of resources and materials.
* Coordinate with Supply Chain for ensuring strategies are implemented for execution of projects as identified in the business objectives * Develop estimates for materials, manpower and resources for new projects.

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
* Any trade related engineering or technical certification * Interpersonal skills and conflict resolution training * Planning certificates from third party training institutions relating to planning, estimating, scheduling, asset management, RCM, PDM and project or turnaround management * Minimum 5 years' experience working with maintenance CMMS systems * Minimum 10 years' experience working with scheduling programs * 5 years' experience working with SAP is an Asset * Minimum 10 years' experience in Projects planning, scheduling and execution experience a definite requirement * Minimum 10 years' experience in a maintenance role within a refinery, gas plant * Min. 5 years' experience with maintenance programs/databases * Projects contract negotiation experience * Scope building, budgeting and cost control experience * Familiarity with government regulations, QA/QC requirements and MOC procedures

Our Client who is a leading Oil and Gas company are currently looking for a Completions and Commissioning Execution Manager for a long term contract based initially in Calgary. The Commissioning Execution Manager is responsible to plan, develop and oversee the safe execution of all aspects of C&C activities for their respective area. They will ensure that the Areas are adhering to the schedule and priorities based on the developed plan


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop training criteria for all C&C personnel.
  • Track and report progress on the continuing development of ICP's.
  • Develop C&C criteria for walk downs.
  • Support and assist in development of the detailed commissioning and start-up schedule and overall plan, including adequate resource loading for all phases of the project.
  • Plan and estimate safe, efficient, and cost effective execution of jobs while minimizing the impact to C&C, RFO and incurred costs.
  • Provide direction to Operations and Maintenance Technicians participating in pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities by liaising with the C&C and RFO teams.
  • Support and assist with the start-up plan, sequencing and changes as they arise.
  • Organize the creation and facilitation of all required C&C Risk Assessments.
  • Support and assist the Operations, Mechanical and E&I Coordinators.
  • Assist vendor coordinator with SOW creation and reviews.
  • Ensure equipment, tools and materials required for start-up are in place and available.
  • Ensure spare parts and C&C consumables are identified, procured and plan for warehousing is in place.

  • Lead and participate in all aspects of the safety program
  • Ensure regulatory compliance standards are met and required documentation is completed
  • Ensure CHEPTW (Control of Hazardous Energy Permit to Work) are implemented prior to any maintenance activities and periodically audit the areas of responsibility, confronting unsafe behaviors and conditions.
  • Support technical issues process, MOC creation.
  • Support and assist with PSSR process ensuring PSSR's are completed on time.
  • Provide feedback to Maintenance Planning and Reliability to improve effectiveness of maintenance strategies and procedures.
  • Actively participate in post event failure analysis, root cause discussions, and contribute to developing solutions.
  • Periodically review construction activity and progress and identify to Construction those issues, if any, affecting the operability, maintainability and safety of the process system, plant or individual equipment.
  • Audit walk down processes, providing guidance to C&C Operations, Mechanical and E&I Technicians ensuring walk down processes are effectively identifying items that are not acceptable for the safety, operability and maintainability of the plant.
  • Working jointly with the Construction Manager to manage safety in their unit during the turnover process to ensure workers are safe through proper identification of live systems, safety lockout procedures and effective implementation of the safe work permit system.
  • Coordinate/Manage C&C maintenance resources to commission and start-up all systems/units to sustained production at design capacity in the shortest duration safely achievable.
  • Monitors the progress of all pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
  • On a daily basis, provides direction to C&C Operations and Maintenance Technicians, ensuring efficient use of resources.

Skills Required

  • Power Engineering Certificate or Journeyman trade ticket with sufficient Operations background or equivalent experience
  • 15 years of experience in similar Commissioning roles in both Brownfield and/or Greenfield Projects
  • Strong Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a variety of Industrial backgrounds
  • Strong working knowledge of OH&S Regulations
  • Proven Leadership experience

Role Synopsis

We are recruiting a piping construction engineer to work on a jack-up rig in the Caspian. The Project is a new Integrated Production, Drilling, Utilities and Quarters Offshore platform. This will report to the lead piping construction engineer, ultimately reporting to the construction manager.

Key Accountabilities

The ACE Piping Construction Engineer will be responsible for delivery of piping construction/installation across the ACE Topsides, with specific emphasis as follows;

Demonstrate excellent personal HSSE leadership and HSE behaviours. Lead, by example, with regards to company's HSE policy.

Fulfil the role of ACE focal-point for piping construction/installation delivery, across designated areas of the platform-build.

Actively participate in construction-related decisions; collaborate with ACE Lead Piping Construction Engineer to provide a discipline perspective to schedules, design deliverables, materials purchases, degree of shop fabrication, material delivery configuration and sequence, as well as development of any required subcontracts.

Interface with Design and Fabrication Contractors to ensure piping constructability input is being actively considered and implemented.

Develop and maintain all required project documentation for ACE Build-It-Tight and Build-It-Clean programs, including all associated construction preservation procedures and piping installation assurance document.

Provide all necessary piping technical input to ACE Construction Execution Plan, Mechanical Completion Plan, Construction Work Package Plan (CWPP) and Construction Site Surveillance Plan.

Support the development and implementation of project modernisation and transformation solutions across the project construction discipline.

During the Execute phase, provide oversight of all piping construction activities, from start through final acceptance including Mechanical Completion Handover processes.

Anticipate and identify adverse trends/events throughout the piping fabrication and construction cycle and work with the relevant parties to avoid them or achieve timely resolution.

Review Hydrotest packs and attend line walks to insure all requirements within test packs including weld log has been met test criteria.

Participate in piping system completion try-party walk downs and generate punch list.

Essential Education

Educated to Degree Level

Essential Experience and Job Requirements

A high-level of communication and interpersonal skills.

Significant experience (5 years) of leading piping construction, including knowledge of associated codes and practices.

Experience of effectively interfacing and working together with Design / Construction Contractors and Operations entities.

Experience with HSSE issues related to on-site construction activities.

Deep understanding of construction methods and the latest international standards that assure integrity of build and construction quality.

Desirable Criteria

Previous experience in similar role would be a distinct advantage.

Knowledge of the Azeri and/or Russian languages would be a distinct advantage.

Our client is looking for a Lead Field Representative who will be responsible and accountable company for the overall supervision (technical and operational performance) of the Seismic Contractor, reporting to the company Seismic Acquisition Project Manager.

The Lead Acquisition Field Representative provides technical and operational programme oversight for geophysical surveys conducted for the project.

The LFR executes the project Oversight Plan and reports back to the company as detailed in the Plan, as well as providing major input to the Acquisition or Site Investigation Performance Scorecard.

This is a crew based rotational position

Key activities, responsibilities and accountabilities

To fulfil these responsibilities the Acquisition Field Representative should:

  1. Read and understand the relevant parts of the applicable contract
  2. Monitor and report Contractor compliance with the contract terms and HSSE Bridging Document
  3. Monitor and report Contractor compliance with any prevailing regulatory Compliance Matrix and/or Environmental Commitments Register
  4. Promote awareness, understanding and achievement of company's goals and expectations
  5. Promote an operating culture of open reporting and management feedback
  6. Promote continuous improvement and sharing lessons learned.
  7. Attend the Field Representatives' briefing/s in MoGO Stage 4.
  8. Attend the crew start-up orientation meeting.
  9. Review and fully understand contract, the Oversight Plan and the contractor's Execution, Quality and HSE Plans.
  10. Execute the project Oversight Plan in the field, including monitoring and reporting of crew performance, data quality, HSE and emerging issues, and provide reports to the Project Manager as directed.
  11. Provide input to the Acquisition/Site Investigation Performance Scorecard.
  12. Provide a final report to the project Gas Seismic Acquisition Project Manager within two weeks of completion of the survey
  13. Ensure quality control and specifications monitoring seismic data acquisition project by providing independent and objective survey supervision and to provide the company with optimum survey results.
  14. Oversee the implementation of the agreed specifications and controlling the costs associated with the Project in company's behalf and ensure that as far as practical, these specifications are maintained.

Experience

20 years of seismic data acquisition and 5 years on supervision roles, previous experience as Field Representative on onshore seismic acquisition projects is necessary.

Experience of managing and supervising large onshore seismic operations, simultaneous acquisition operations and leading multi-cultural teams

Experience of Land Seismic Acquisition in difficult areas, particularly experience with High Productivity Source Acquisition (ISS, DS3 or similar) and experience on Technical roles.

English, preferably French, Arab
