Job Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Secondary (10 years) education followed by 3 yrs. Diploma or apprenticeship in Production, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical engineering or equivalent (equivalent to UK NVQ, HNC or preferably Bachelor's Degree)

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years' oil & gas field experience in Maintenance or Operations (of which 3 years spent in a supervisory position).
  • Thorough understanding of Operations Safety Case requirements, statutory requirements and safe systems of work including the Permit to Work (PTW), isolation procedures and risk assessment.

Other Competencies / Skills / Others:

  • Working knowledge of computer applications software such as Microsoft Office / Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (ideally Oracle Enterprise Asset Management).

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop and provide recommendations to strategically enhance the financial and commercial performance of the organization to the CEO
  • Create, implement and evaluate long-term financial targets for operational efficiency initiatives which includes reducing costs, increasing efficiency, enhancing utilization of resources as well as outsourcing non-value add activities plus optimization of the organizations capital structure
  • Formulate the budget for Support Functions and monitor financial performance versus the budget
  • Lead the development and roll out of manpower planning and forecasting activity, ensuring that company is sufficiently resourced and appropriately structured to deliver on its objectives
  • Lead cost-efficient usage of all other applicable other resources to reduce if not eliminate wastages resulting to unnecessary expense
  • Adhere to compliance with all applicable governmental laws and ministerial policies
  • Lead continuous optimization of systems and processes without sacrificing the required quality of products and services
  • Ensure effective internal controls and management information systems are in place

Lead Construction Engineer

The experience required:

1. Graduate with BSc in engineering science from reputed institute. An advanced degree or qualification in construction management is highly desirable.

2. Minimum 15 years of experience in oil and gas industry with at least 10 years in construction engineering & management including brownfield & marine projects.

3. Certified construction manager as per recognised international bodies like APM, PMI or equivalent.

4. Awareness of Shell DEP on Construction Management, Marine & Diving Standards.

5. Experience as a Construction Lead is a must for coastal marine or marine and civil projects. Experience in building temporary construction facilities is preferred.

6. Experience as Contract Representative in delivering offshore projects involving marine barges, vessels, installation vessels is a must.

7. Experience in turnaround management and permit to work management is a must.

8. Experience in managing EPC contractors of > 15 mm USD including mobilisation is a must.

9. Experience in delivering project assurance activities like Maintainability, Operability & Constructability Reviews, SIMOPS, HAZID, Permitting Plan, Turnaround Assurance Review.

  • To plan and support all aspects of the execution of the deepwater exploration well in South America
  • To conduct operational planning prior to well execution, write the Drilling Programme and ensure it is followed during the well execution
  • Ensure the End of Well report and Well Close out phase is completed in a timely and effective manner
  • To assist in preparation of contingency plans for well control, general emergency response and oil spills are in place prior to commencing operations
  • Assist in ensuring that QA/QC standards are applied and enforced on Rig contractor and all service providers.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification, Shell Round II or equivalent technical competency
  • 15 years of Well Engineering industry experience
  • With a minimum of 10 years in Drilling
  • A minimum of 6 years' experience as am Operations Drilling Engineer
  • Extensive experience of international remote location, offshore exploration well operations
  • A high level of competence with well control techniques (IWCF certificate mandatory)
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of all aspects of well engineering associated with well design and construction including well design, kick tolerance, well control issues, bore-hole stability, mud chemistry, under reaming whilst drilling, fishing and milling, wireline logging and data acquisition
