Corrosion Engineer III - Houston

Petroplan is currently recruiting on behalf of a well known Oil & Gas company located here in the Houston area in need of a Corrosion and Materials Engineer. Prospective candidates will be responsible for providing deep corrosion and materials engineering expertise to several teams in support of engineering risk and the delivery of safe, compliant and efficient operations.
Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience within in Oil & Gas industry
  • Bachelor Degree in relevant engineer discipline such as Corrosion Science, Materials, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer
  • Technical experience within materials selection, failure investigation, corrosion mechanisms, RBA/RBI etc.
  • Previous experience within erosion and erosion management
  • Ability to work within the US

Machine Operator Carrollton, TX

Currently recruiting on behalf of a major manufacturing company in need of a CNC Machine Operator to join their team. This position is contract to hire and located in Carrollton, TX. Prospective candidates will start as 1st shift for training purposes and switch to 2nd shift after.
Job Duties:

  • Under general supervision, sets up, adjusts, and operates a variety of machine tools which may include numerical control/computerized numeric control lathes, mills, drills, computerized numerical control/numerical control and /or manual machines.
  • Required to read blueprints, perform mathematics associated with machining operations.
  • Perform inspection procedures to verify work
  • ability to check parts with gauges
  • familiar reading/understanding drawings


Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of prior experience
  • High school diploma
  • Previous experience working with Okuma, Mori Seiki, Weiler, Mazach, etc.
  • Previous experience reading / understanding blue prints
  • Ability to work in fast pace environment

Topsides Site Estimator/Quantity Surveyor - Ingleside, TX

Petroplan is currently accepting applications for a Topsides Site Estimator / Quality Surveyor to join a well known Oil & Gas company. This position is contract and located in Ingleside, TX. Prospective candidates will be responsible for site estimating and quantity verification for the fabrication of various stages of Topside projects.
Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an accurate basis of Estimate for all estimates developed
  • Payment Certification Verification
  • Quantity verification per the Bill of Quantities
  • Maintenance of a variance Quantity logs


Qualifications:

  • 10 years of relevant Quantity Surveying or Estimating Experience in a large Project Environment
  • 5 Years of Bill of Quantity Management
  • Bachelor of Engineering
  • PE License
  • Quanity Surveyor or CEC Certified Estimator
  • PMP Certification (or equivalent) and AACEI Certification
