Description:

Under strict supervision, performs maintenance functions such as repairs on down-hole tools, surface equipment and other production equipment in the application for down-hole tools. Assembles and disassemble down-hole tools, surface equipment, and other production equipment. Basic computer skills are preferred. Licensure to drive commercial equipment may be required. Given the nature of oil field service work, the ability to communicate effectively with others is necessary. The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required. Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required. In this crucial role, you will be requiring for managing all aspects of field operations for all teams throughout the US. This is a very strategic role encompassing both a technical "hands on" background and an operational management background. Duties:

Primary Focus:

Responsible for planning and conducting business process, risk, compliance and operational assessments; carrying out independent, objective reviews of Company activities; providing analyses and customer-focused recommendations. Act as the Auditor-in-Charge on select engagements which involves leading the team during the planning and execution phases as well as drafting the audit report.
Responsibilities
o Participate in/establish the audit scope and objectives to ensure activities are consistent with the ethics, values and strategic objectives of the Company.
o Take ownership of and perform end to end audits including planning, scoping, fieldwork, testing and the delivery of high quality audit reports both verbal and written.
o Lead teams on select engagements (acting as the Auditor-in-Charge) providing junior staff members with coaching and performing first level of review of their work, as appropriate.
o Perform detailed risk and control assessments of areas under audit consideration.
o Develop and execute audit programs and procedures to effectively address the risks, controls and governance issues identified - this includes estimating and obtaining required resources and setting realistic deadlines.
o Identify and resolve complex issues and provide recommendations which add value.
o Communicate the results of work by preparing audit reports to appropriate parties, which may include Executive and senior management and the Board of Directors.
o Conduct/assist in research and analysis of technical and best-practice standards.
o Work with external auditors on selected assignments.
o Perform special project work at the request of management or the Audit Finance & Risk Committee.
o Promote the Internal Audit function within the organization.
Qualifications
Required
o Undergraduate degree in Engineering, EHS, Business or other technical field with experience working either in Internal Audit or Field Operations.
o Able to travel and work across border (Canada/US).
o Working knowledge of Canadian/US pipeline / asset regulations and auditing standards.
o Project management and operational risk management skills required.
o Previous experience in operational management system development and implementation as well as auditing management systems required.
o Strong business acumen and knowledge of progressive audit practices; process development; performance bench-marking.
o Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal) allowing clear communication of simple to complex concepts/ideas appropriately tailored to target audiences.
o Strong organizational and teamwork skills, including ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects.
o High level of analytical skills facilitating the development of complex audit plans or analyzes and the creation of new ideas.
o Demonstrates great diplomacy and tact. Builds informal/formal network of mutually beneficial relationships.
o Strong customer service orientation that anticipates and understands customers long and short term needs.
o Excellent facilitation, negotiation and influencing skills at various management levels of the organization.
o Ability to work independently.
o A minimum of 5-7 years of business/operational experience.
Preferred:
o Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or other audit related designations would be considered an asset.
o Knowledge of Construction Projects processes and procedures considered an asset.

The Coating Inspector is responsible for the completion of all activities in his area of assignment in accordance with the appropriate Company specifications and the approved for construction drawings. The craft specific duties and responsibilities of the coating inspector are as follows: Understanding, monitoring, assessing, and reporting on painting and coating activities and items including but not limited to: Vendor Product data sheet (PDS) utilization Being able to understand and interrupt the PDS Ensure proper storage of the Paints/Coatings by the Contractor Tools required to monitor environmental conditions and their proper use Surface cleanliness testing Proper mixing of paint nd/or coating per the manufactures PDS Proper application of paint and/or coating Proper equipment for the type of coating Equipment is in working order Proper setup and use of holiday detector / jeep Check certification of the detector Know how to check and ensure the detector is working properly Know the different types of detectors and their application Proper repair of a holiday, void, or jeep in the coating Basic Qualifications: The minimum qualifications include a minimum of two years of experience in the application or inspection of coating; or one year of experience in the application or inspection of coating and either NACE CIP level 1 certification or SSPC PC1 level 1 certification. Additionally the position must meet the basic qualifications of a Utility Inspector (basic inspector). Desired Qualifications: The desired qualifications include one or more of the following: Demonstrated experience in the application of multiple coating systems API 1169 Certification NACE CIP level 1 certification or SSPC PC1 level 1 certification Demonstrated experience in the application of multiple coating systems Notes: Service companies need to provide potential and successful candidates the function description for Utility/Craft (Basic Inspector) T-INS-070 in addition to the function description for this position.
