SUPPLY CHAIN Analyst

  • Strong knowledge and skill set in executing procurement processes including demand planning, Sourcing and contracting

  • The ability to conduct necessary analysis, devise and present appropriate approaches and solutions, and ensure the timely delivery of high quality services is a must.
  • A strong contracting background, negotiation skills, interpersonal skills and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of category management concepts



ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support procurement demand planning process including creating and updating key metrics to support demand planning process
  • Conduct sourcing using structured sourcing processes including spend, market and demand analysis
  • Negotiate legal and commercial terms that achieve optimal business results. Create contracts ensuring adequate cross functional collaboration and per policies and procedures
  • Price book creation and compliance for identified categories and suppliers
  • Work with business partners to understand business needs/ requirements and define supply chain services needed to address these needs/requirements. Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners, keeping them fully informed of changes to specification/terms of service with a particular supplier/contractor
  • The Specialist (Contractor) will support specific projects/initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency of GSC
  • Manage supplier relates issues as needed
  • Ensure compliance with legislative regulations and corporate policies and procedures (Sarbanes-Oxley, FCPA, etc.).
  • Develop working relationships that motivate suppliers/contractors to deliver required level of service and to facilitate the speedy and effective resolution of issues, as needed
  • Drive continuous improvement
  • Identify key contract risks and the associated mitigation strategies
  • Work with GSC colleagues and business partners to understand business needs/requirements and define GSC services needed to address these needs/requirements
  • Plan and schedule work activities, within prescribed parameters


EXPERIENCE: 4 years professional level work experience in Supply Chain, Exploration and Production related experience is a plus.

Our client, an emerging Operator within the Oil & Gas Industry, has a requirement for an experienced Senior Contracts Advisor with a focus on Downstream / LNG Projects.
The role will be initially based in Houston, TX however may require visits to Project Sites both domestically and internationally.

Job Overview
This role will be an integral part of the Snr Leadership Team and will be at the forefront of the development and execution of a Major Petro-Chemical facility.
The Snr Project Contracts Advisor is primarily responsible for assisting the Sr. Project Manager for Contracts and Project Controls in contracting for, and administering an Engineering Design and Services Agreement, and negotiating an EPC Agreement. The Snr Project Contract Advisor initiates, tracks and monitors the RFP process and contract development process, contract changes, deliverables, correspondence and risks, and maintains associated documentation.

Roles/Responsibilities

  • Understand and aid in the project teams' understanding of all contract requirements and coordinate with the project team to ensure compliance with all contracts throughout the life of the project. Responsible for informing the project team of the requirements of the contract and monitoring compliance. Works with the project team and/or business unit and Legal, ensuring that all legal and contractual matters are addressed efficiently and promptly and manages the OBE process to convert from a cost reimbursable phase to a Lump Sum phase.
  • Responds to complex inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions and prepares change order and amendment documents in conjunction with legal and the contracts manager. Aids the Sr. Project Manager, Contracts and Procurement in managing the ongoing life cycle of the agreement including any potential amendments to product/service price and/or terms and conditions, contract performance against commitments, and compliance to agreed terms.
  • Aids in negotiating contract terms, pricing and payment schedules, ensuring that the agreements with vendors/suppliers are commercially advantageous. Prepares negotiation plan and prepares back up documentation prior to negotiations.
  • Prepares reviews, drafts white papers and creates tools for analyzing and tracking of Contractor OBE process and claims.
  • Prepares and initiates letters and responses to the EPC contractor regarding various aspects of the project and contract. Prepares notices and facilitates quick responses to EPC contractor's inquiries.
  • Liaise between the risk and tax departments and contractors to develop and administer insurance and tax programs required for specific projects, regions, or financing needs.
  • Develops and integrates contract management tools, templates, methods and processes. Using tools and templates, prepares and disseminates information regarding contract status, compliance, modifications, etc. Works with Project Analyst to develop and maintain the contract database and manage the contract document repository in SharePoint.
  • Actively involved in regional and global contract management initiatives and aware of impacts to the project, including any weather threats to the region or job site, or governmental tariff risk and ensures proper documentation and management of the initiatives or events.


Experience / Education

  • Recognized Bachelors Degree - Preferably in Business or English
  • Minimum of 10 x years experience within the energy / oil & gas industry
  • LNG and Commercial Legal experience a plus.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of general corporate business practices, government and commercial contracting regulations and principles, subcontracting practices, and accounting and finance principles
  • Clear understanding of contracting strategies, including Convertible Contracts (i.e. OBE to LSTK Agreements)
  • Experience in Open Book Process is a plus
  • Strong contracts negotiation skills
  • Able to resolve contracts and pricing issues
  • Detail oriented and adheres to deadlines
  • Able to demonstrate excellent analytical and mathematical skills
  • Certification a plus (i.e., CFCM, CCCM, CPCM, CPM)

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership in all areas of Procurement to the project team, delivering the procurement of Services, Materials and Equipment in an effective and timely manner.

The Deputy Project Business Manager will assist the Project Business Manager with the development, management and administration of Project Business Services - insurance, tax, procurement, assisting with employee logistics, contract administration and compliance, legal affairs, commercial negotiations, project risk management as well as financial and commercial reporting and analysis.


Duties / Responsibilities:
Assist the Project Business Manager with the following:

* Commercial and financial analysis
* Project cost assessments
* Risk assessment and risk register
* Contracting strategy
* Potential execution options
* Sets up Project account budgets and cost management and accounting system
* Tax strategy and tax accrual processes including interface with the tax department and local Tax authorities - this includes import and export duties and tariffs

Our client is a full service pipeline contractor for the energy industry! They are looking to add an experienced Estimator to their team. This person will be working remotely from their home but would ideally be located in Kansas City, MO or Houston, TX.

Estimator Job Description

To prepare accurate estimating and oversee projects to maximize profits for the division in doing so have a successful, safe and successful job. Act as lead contact person for all jobs; communicate with contractors, suppliers, and management as to progress of jobs.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferable in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent working experience in Pipeline Construction
  • 5 years' experience working in the pipeline construction industry.


Skills: Proficient Math skills. Proficient Computer skills and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project) and basic knowledge/skills with PowerPoint and Visio. Basic working knowledge with Acrobat Reader (pdf). Must have excellent communication skills. Must be available to travel at least 50%.
