Role Details

The Senior Contract Manager SMA role is located within the operations and maintenance department and the main purpose of the Senior Contract Manager role is to provide support during the negotiation phase of the SMA with OEM (original Equipment manufacturers), with a focus on the contractual and commercial requirements.

Assist the Lead Project Manager SMA in the negotiation of the WTG SMA, focused on conditions of contract and commercial requirements.

Leading the updating and re-drafting of SMA conditions of contract, including the identification of issues with highest risk and/or items for escalation.

Assist the Lead Project Manager SMA in obtaining RFIs (Requests for Information) to develop the OPEX estimations for FID.

Develop the BoP contracting strategy, liaising with Purchasing and each project work package to ensure a robust handover process to O&M.

Supporting development of the overall project O&M strategy.

Experience
Minimum five years contract management experience
Offshore wind experience is preferred
Must have sound knowledge of Offshore Wind Operations and Maintenance
Experience, knowledge and understanding negotiation of multi million pound commercial contracts.
Highly developed communication skills and interpersonal, particularly related to multicultural relationships, and ability to present effectively to management teams.
Strong understanding of H&S legislation applicable to offshore operations and electrical generation.
Experience of managing interfaces of multidisciplinary teams spread across multiple locations

Senior Operations & Maintenance Engineer

Job Title: Senior O&M Engineer

Location: UK - Home based initially but will move to London when appropriate

The position will be working in the O&M package of a major Wind Farm project Offshore UK.

The O&M team are responsible for taking the project through the Pre-FID stages and readiness phases to ensure the project is fully prepared for operation.

The project OPEX business case and overall O&M strategy needs to be developed for the FID in 2021. The main purpose of the O&M Engineer role is to assist the Lead Project Manager Interfaces in the development and documentation of the OPEX model, logistic strategy, Operations facilities and Yield in the pre-FID phase. This role will also work closely with the O&M commercial department in developing the business case for the project. Tasks will include input into modelling of logistics scenarios, fuel estimations and transport mean capabilities analysis and documenting OPEX assumptions and cost information in preparation for the FID investment dossier.

The job holder will be required to:

  • Work with the Project Manager interfaces in developing the project factbook, including the identification of issues with highest risk or items for escalation
  • Work with the Commercial department on updating and re-drafting of the project Factbook
  • Help to develop operational strategy with regards to the Service contracts negotiated
  • Assist in the development and execution of the Operation and Maintenance Strategies for both the Windfarm and the transmission assets.
  • Maintenance strategy development throughout WTG Group
  • Development of Yield on the pre-FID phase.
  • Ensuring the O&M facilities and assets meet the operational requirements.
  • Must have sound knowledge of Offshore Wind Operations and Maintenance
  • Experience, knowledge and understanding negotiation of large commercial contracts.
  • Highly developed communication skills and interpersonal, particularly related to multicultural relationships, and ability to present effectively to management teams.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a rapidly changing working environment and demonstrate a positive approach to change.

Experience

  • Must have an engineering orientated Bachelors (BSc/BEng) degree level or demonstrate significant experience in a relevant discipline
  • Minimum five years offshore wind experience is preferred, alternatively significant experience in a relevant discipline
  • Offshore wind experience is preferred

Job Responsibilities:

  • To provide the required input from a structural point of view during the procurement process of the Structural Engineering Services contract.
  • To ensure that Substation structural design is delivered according to employer's requirements, safety and quality standards.
  • To review the inputs and deliverables from the OSS designer. Management of comments to structural design documentation.
  • To provide technical support to the Engineering Manager from a structural point of view. To manage the structural input on the interfaces with other relevant packages and input providers. To identify risks and effectively manage mitigation measures.
  • Travelling to Contractors Offices and / or Facilities as required.
  • Proven experience in offshore wind business.
  • Proven experience in offshore substations projects

Offshore Substation Safety Engineer

Offshore Substation Safety Engineer

The Offshore Substation Safety Engineer will be dedicated to the Offshore Substation Supply and construction, along with offshore cable packages from day one.

Specifically the Offshore H&S Engineer shall provide full support to the Offshore Substation Package in its entirety, covering design, fabrication, transportation and installation through to commissioning; this will include the export and array cables packages. Interfacing with other packages such as WTG, Foundations and Onshore cables interfaces.

Specific Health & Safety Requirements

H&S Engineer shall be medically fit to conduct all aspects of work. If offshore work is envisaged then Offshore medical fitness examination shall be held. Certificates shall be held for all aspects of work if direct work is undertaken or access to site is required.

All UK Health and Safety Legislation shall be followed as well local legislation, company rules, guidelines and procedures and site rules

GIS Specialist

Role: GIS Specialist

The primary responsibility of the GIS Specialist role is to support the GIS function for the project. The role will involve providing tailor made GIS tools, mapping services, undertaking geospatial analysis and advise on the appropriate use of geospatial data to various stakeholders.

This role will require working closely with all packages working on the project and interactions with external parties such as clients, potential clients, consultants and contractors

Accountabilities

  • The translation of various datasets (offshore and onshore), manipulation of intricate data (offshore and onshore) and execution of complex queries, as well as, maintenance and updates of GIS databases.
  • Provision of GIS drafting/cartographic services as required by the offshore business.
  • Design and develop efficient programming solutions for the enhancement of existing GIS systems, including appropriate documentation; preparing test cases and carrying out unit integrations to ensure that modified systems perform correctly.
  • Provision of complex GIS analyses and data processing services to the desired quality, cost and level of traceability.
  • Utilise GIS and/or CAD for geospatial data management and Provision of high quality drafting/cartographic services to support all areas of the business.
  • Develop methodologies for advanced geospatial data analysis and implement.
  • Development of tools for a wide technical and non-technical user-base that enhance productivity and/or capability.
  • Maintenance of software, tools and systems to ensure robustness and usability.
  • Create and maintain geospatial data and metadata.
  • Receive, review and store consultant provided geospatial data.
  • Uploading data to statutory body websites.
  • Working with internal and external customers to support data requests either planned or unplanned.
  • Liaising with clients to understand their requirements and provide assistance in providing detailed work to strict deadlines.
  • Contribute to the development of specialist knowledge and practice within the business.
  • Provision of documentation and training in use of custom tools to the end users to ensure high standards of use.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • Python (ArcGIS); demonstrable skills in working with Arcpy library including mapping, cursors, dictionaries, lists, functions, etc.
  • Python (Standard); demonstrable skills in working with default and third party libraries; with an emphasis on Excel and CSV data manipulation using libraries such as xlrd, pandas, and numpy
  • Capacity to work independently to provide and technical solutions to engineering challenges using GIS.
  • Good digital cartographic and map production skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and in a client office environment.
  • Good written, presentational and customer-facing skills regarding GIS and Engineering
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience working with Spatial Analysis for Hydrology, Bathymetric surveys, Geomorphology, earthmoving estimations, etc.
  • Experience in handling CAD to GIS Conversion
  • experience working with ArcGIS Pro
  • experience working with AutoCAD Civil 3D



MINIMUM CRITERIA

  • Educated to Honours Degree level in appropriate subject
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Proficient in Python
  • Three years' experience in the wind industry or major construction projects (offshore wind preferable).
  • IT literate with the ability to operate MS Office systems and other IT based project management software.
  • Flexible to work in different parts of France and travel within Europe
