Petroplan are currently seeking an experienced and driven sub-sea/marine professional to join a client that boasts an impressive global scope.
As Senior Master Mariner, you must have both sea going and shore based experience, comprising of Marine Superintendence, Operations, Marine Warranty and Marine Consultancy. During your time in this role you will also be expected to manage various marine projects on behalf of the organisation.
Day to day:

  • Technical authoring of rig moves procedures, lifting procedures, marine operations manuals and a variety of offshore marine operations procedures.
  • Conduct, co-ordinate and manage various surveys, audits and inspections including vessel assurance, Marine Warranty Suitability Surveys, CMID and OCIMF-OVID inspections, Pre-Purchase/Sale and On Hire condition surveys
  • Managing vessel monitoring and assurance programs
  • Review/approval of marine procedures and facilitation and participation in HIRA/HAZIDs

We are currently working with an international E&P business. A need has arisen within the business to add an experienced Completions Engineer to their Well team

The Completions Engineer will be accountable to design, plan and programme completions and well interventions by working within a multi disciplinary team across various locations both in country and outside.

The role is responsible for designing, planning and programming the installation of the completions by working with the rig contractor and service companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing, engineering, planning and programming of well completion and intervention activities.
  • Lead risk assessments to identify and mitigate design, engineering, planning and operational risks.
  • Preparation of equipment functional description, specifications and procurement plans and schedules.
  • Integration of rig and service company procedures into well program.

Education:

  • A University degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent
  • Valid offshore survival certification.
  • Medically fit to travel and work offshore and internationally
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken.
  • High proficiency with IT and industry software including WellCat, Torque and Drag and Hydraulics modeling.
  • Skills to drive technical, operational, quality and HSE performance.

Senior Drilling Supervisor

We are currently working with an international E&P business. A need has arisen within the business to add an experienced Senior Drilling Supervisor to their Well team

The Senior Drilling Supervisor will be accountable for executing and managing rig site operations to deliver the well objectives safely, with minimum environmental impact & with maximum efficiency

Responsibilities / Key Objectives:

  • Ensures HSE is given the highest priority in all elements of programme delivery.
  • Demonstrates and publicises to all crews & contractors operators commitment to HSE.
  • Promote safety culture and excellent HSE performance.
  • Ensures all incidents and accidents are promptly reported and where appropriate thoroughly investigated and learnings are recorded and implemented.
  • Ensures continuous improvement and ideas from rig after action reviews and lessons learned are incorporated into daily work instructions and implemented in all well operations.
  • Well Operations performance/efficiency improvement - Engage and encourage drilling contractor and third party service companies to offer suggestions for increasing operational performance.


Operational Support

  • Provide the day to day operational and technical expertise in execution of rig operations to deliver well plans and objectives.
  • Manages daily operations and logistics to deliver well plans.
  • Plans for future operations and ensures required materials and services are available at rigsite in an efficient timeframe.
  • Work with Service Providers to ensure service delivery meets or exceeds requirements.
  • Provide technical input and when required offer engineered solutions to well problems.
  • Provide concise and informative daily reports.
  • Provide written work instructions to all crews involved in operations with emphasis on key risks identified and with measures to avoid NPT.


Education:

  • Valid Well Control certification.
  • Valid medical certification fit to work in remote offshore African location.


Skills/Experience:

  • Supervision of Drilling Operations. (Preferably in remote locations.)
  • Experience working in deep water using 6th/7th generation rig operations
  • Fluent in English both written and spoken.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to establish good working relationships with team.
  • High proficiency with IT and industry software including MS Suite
  • Excellent planning skills

Supports HSE Supervisor and HSE organization.
Conducts HLO duties, including leading new passenger orientations. Maintains HSE filing system. Participates in Incident Command System (ICS).
Responsible for HSE equipment inventory, calibration and conducts Permit to Work site inspections, maintaining a 10% audit. Utilizes STOP system process and perform positive interventions. Participates in JSA reviews. Facilitates HSE tracking log review with management. Responsible for HSE data gathering.

Records and reports environmental discharges. Audits waste segregation onboard. Uses Impact for information pertaining to incidents and audits.
Typically 5 - 7 years of experience. Experienced level. Provides more technical/functional support than administrative support.
Demonstrates a thorough working knowledge of technology, applications, terminology, and procedures required of job function.
Performs varied and more complex tasks. Makes decisions within broad parameters.

Contracts Administrator

The Contract Administrator is an execution role within SEPI's Supply Chain Corporate Contracting category function in support of the business. The post holder will be responsible for operational sourcing approaches to market and executing all SAP transactional work in their respective area.
For operational contracting this means compliance with default criteria of tendering to three sources, an award less than three years and an award to the lowest priced tenderer or, in the event this criteria is not met, creation of an operational process variation submission for approval.


Role Responsibilities:

* Review all relevant sources sufficient to create robust tender lists;
* Engage the market based on speed and prudency using approved contract and ITT templates;
* Review the relevance of tendering to ensure it is not a futile and wasted task and recommend any other sourcing approaches which will add value to the business;
* Operationally connect with the technical community to be in tune with their operational requirements;
* To ensure electronic file organisation and be in a consistent position of preparation for any audit; internal or external;
* To perform all SAP transactions for outline agreements and purchase orders in ones area of responsibility in line with the expected well delivery requirements with the objectives of (i) creating legally binding contractual documents and (ii) decent quality levels of captured data for future searching and value added decision making;
* Be capable of creation of minor contract and tender documents;
* Manage any negotiations in line with approved practices prior to effecting negotiations;
* Minimise fragmented market approaches and eliminate maverick spend activity;
* Execute sourcing in a professional manner geared toward achieving the best value for SEPI;
* Ensure alignment of stakeholders for contracting;
* Ensure alignment with SHE, technical and supply chain so that sourcing approaches, evaluations, execution and post award management are effective;
* Provide for robust evaluations to ensure value maximisation is identified.


Minimum Qualifications:

* Business qualifications applicable to Law, Engineering or Commercial practice
* Ideally a minimum of 3 years operating experience within an upstream environment in a similar capacity, but with the ability to grasp the needs of the business to contract to market.
* An understanding of Supply Chain and aptitude to learn Category Management.
* Good internal and external networker.
* SAP experience
* Proven track record of applying robust governance and decision quality principles with regard to all pre and post contract award activity across supply chains.
* Capable of being delegated Contract Specialist activities when required.
* Consideration may also be given to candidates without the aforementioned qualifications, but who instead have proven demonstrable relevant industry experience.

RA Electrical Technician

Petroplan require a Level 1 RA Electrical Technician for immediate mobilisation to a North Sea Platform for an initial 3 week trip.

  • Must be IRATA (International Rope Access Trade Association) trained / competent with all valid Certificates available on request
  • Ex Hazardous Areas (CompEx) required
  • Good understanding of practical and theoretical principles of all Electrical / Instrument Hazardous Areas equipment
  • Educated to NVQ / SVQ or equivalent standard and completion of a recognised apprenticeship scheme
  • Should have pervious knowledge of ISSOW Permit to Work system
  • Previous experience and willing to undertake Isolating Authority duties for 'Own Electrical Isolations' as per competency systems
  • Some previous experience / knowledge in use of Maximo would be beneficial in the role (or similar CMMS system i.e. - SAP)

Environmental Advisor
This is a part time position - 2-3 days a weeks for 6 months.
The position will report to the Team Lead, Environment and Regulatory and will provide environmental support to East Coast Operations. Programs in which the incumbent will be involved include environmental protection planning, compliance monitoring, environmental effects monitoring, chemical management, seabird monitoring and rehabilitation, fisheries liaison, environmental research and environmental stakeholder engagement, including applicable regulatory agencies. The incumbent will also be responsible for corporate and regulatory environmental reporting, stewardship reporting, environmental audits and support of emergency and oil spill response initiatives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
? Manage environmental programs and support the regulatory approval process for offshore production, drilling and exploration activities.
? Coordinate regulatory and corporate reporting requirements.
? Evaluate and screen chemicals to be used on all offshore operated facilities.
? Participate in the review of proposed environmental regulations, determine implications for operations and develop company responses.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
? Completion of a Master's degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering or equivalent.
? Experience working with an oil and gas company as an Environmental Advisor in Newfoundland and Labrador.
? Experience conducting consultations and regulatory engagement with the C-NLOPB, Natural Resources Canada, Environment and Climate Change Canada, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Transport Canada, Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency, etc.
? Experience in working in the marine environment and knowledge of offshore oil and gas environmental issues.
? Knowledge of corporate and regulatory environmental reporting requirements would be an asset, including GHGs and NPRI.
? Knowledge of the environmental assessment process. ? Knowledge and experience in emergency response.
? Experience coordinating environmental monitoring and research programs.
