Our client, a market leading Owner / Operator, are currently seeking a Buyer to join them on a contract basis in Aberdeen. This position, is a year 1 contract and will offer an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

  • Purchases production materials, equipment, parts, supplies, and services as directed.
  • Work with Planning Group, attend Planning Meetings and source requisitions for goods and services.
  • Obtains quotations from suppliers and negotiates pricing and terms. Coordinates and expedites materials, quantities, and delivery dates.
  • Assures suppliers meet with all company and customer quality standards.
  • Enter purchase order information into the computer.
  • Research components/material for sourcing.
  • Continues to develop and utilize a professional knowledge of purchasing principles, theories, concepts, and procedures in related functional areas.
  • Generate Work Order vs. Purchase Order report, analyze and circulate.

Qualifications:

  • SAP experience, preferred Excellent PC and Microsoft Office skills required
  • Raw materials purchasing background, preferred
  • Telecom purchasing a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills/ability to get along with others/Ability to deal with ambiguity and take initiative
  • Good negotiating skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Procurement experience Duties/Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Analyst Job Requirements:

  • Must have no less than 4 years' of experience, with previous E&P experience, as well as a Bachelors' Degree.
  • Must have previous Business Process Management experience.
  • Must be proficient with ERP systems, preferably within SAP
  • Some scripting knowledge within DOS, VBA and T-SQL strongly preferred.

The Position

Senior Claims Consultant will manage disputes and develop dispute strategies.
We are seeking an independent thinker with excellent contractual knowledge who will provide commercially viable solutions in support of DRPIC's dispute strategy position.
You will be working closely with Senior Management, drafting formal reports, assembling documentary evidence and coordinating team members in investigations and evidence gathering, leading to the successful settlement of contractor's claims.


Candidate Requirements

Minimum 10 years' international major multidisciplinary project experience in onshore Oil and Gas Industry, and possess strong analytical capabilities and able to demonstrate the following:

  • Extensive knowledge of various standard forms of contract, and contracts of a bespoke nature.
  • Specific claims and dispute resolution expertise.
  • Reasonable knowledge of planning software.
  • Providing independent dispute resolution advice and solutions for clients, owners and contractors
  • Have worked in a client or contractor environment with demonstrable experience of personally representing and drafting reports suitable for arbitration or litigation proceedings
  • Ability to interface with DRPIC's contracts management personnel and contribute to the overall project management.
  • The candidate should have handled at least 2 claims in the Oil and Gas industry in the past 5 years where each claim has a minimum value of USD 100 Million.

  • Providing guidance to PS members in dealing with any difficulty arisen during the processes.
  • Leading to ensure that all procurement reports are generated timely as required.
  • Support PS Manager in coordination and managing the preparation of Annual Procurement Plan.
  • Periodically review and amend the Procurement Procedure for more effectively and efficiently.
